  1. Darwiish county? If I must say simply beauuudhiful!
  2. Thats why most sane people will never support seccionist, they are always imposing themselves on others. Darwiishland or anything darawiish-related will never be part SL. We won't let it happen. Sorry couldn't understand what is said in the article.

ICU are the newcomers to the political scene so they would have to have to show a good track record over a long period of time for reasonable free thinking people to prefer them over AY. to govern Somalia. AY is an elected official everyone would have to wait till his time is up to replace him till then ICU will have to suck up their hunger for power! And their ardent desire to do well for Somalia
  4. There goes our president . If you can't beat him join him!
  5. ^That is the status quo in all of Somalia. There aren't too many innocent people. What do you expect from Sheikh Sherif and the ICU? to start hunting down the surviving family members' of the victims so they could extract retribution on their behalf? It is too time consuming and a damn near impossible task to undertake. Getting international recognition would be an easier feat to accomplish.
  6. ok you are just getting obsessive compulsive now. Here is a suggestion for you. GET A LIFE!!!

Ngonge he is an Arab christian scholar. An intellectual revolutionist/activist type so suffice it to say that he writes from that angle.

This relationship is reflected in the learning institution and the scholarly work they produce. Baashi watch the video as well it'll give you a visual perspective on the book to supplement your reading Powerfull stuff!
  9. ^dude grad parties aren't exactly like the Somali truck drivers' convention for heavens sakes! Passion Congrats Abaayo what can I say I'm very pleased we have one more educated sister joinin' the ranks. God Bless, you have a very bright future ahead of you. God willing.
  10. Originally posted by Libaax-Sankataabte: Howard warned Muslims they risked a backlash from other Australians if they continued to defend al-Hilali against mainstream opinion. "If it is not resolved, then unfortunately people will run around saying 'Well, the reason they didn't get rid of him is because secretly some of them support his views,'" Howard said. I'm not familiar with the Australian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, but where I live this is in direct violation to Freedom of Association (it also extends to opinions and thoughts). With elected officials blackmailing them away from their fundamental rights in an attempt to treat them like second class citizens at every opportunity, I trust Australian Muslims realize that there are more important things to worry about than the inconsequential words of a mufti who by the way is entitled to freedom of speech like everyone else in the country. But that doesn't excuse the fact that he is wrong and misguided in his views. He should resign.
  11. It's also a great place to get minyaaro. The only way I'll go to Dubai is if I'm getting paid 65K and over starting salary for my profession hadii kale nukukalawat! I like the liberal west way too much to rub shoulders with A-rabs.
  12. Che Guevara, I understand how you could come to conclusions based on the facial gestures of the girl, but perhaps your bro and her have different communication patterns? The more of a certain communication style one person has and the less of it another person has the more chances for misunderstanding and miscommunication. Sounds simplified but really this is the basis for human interactions. I'm sure some strangers have rubbed you the wrong way too and you've hit off well with others. The best thing you can do in a situation where you are having a hard time understanding a person is to try to empathize with them.
  13. Somaliland is beautiful from what I'm seeing in these pictures. Just chuck the sensitivity y'all, be more like Ngonge. He is a cool guy.
  14. Originally posted by Sophist: He was telling me he knew couple Muwaadins married to somali sisters. In the event of a divorce they can kiss their precious kids goodbye cuz I know of one too many 'not without my daughter type' stories that happened with Somalis sisters where the muwatin arab husbands literally took the children away never to be seen by the mother again. That would never happen if a Somali bro was married to mawatin woman for sure.
  15. Oh my eyes! The two dudes in the khamees wow what can I say the only thing that seems to be missing is their donkey Bubba, the first one looks like a hasidic jew and the fourth dude simply no comment! Its too damn casual it shouldn't even be modeled. Did he just come from his momma's house?
  16. Sheikh Sharif is on the right. Although from my humble assesments he seems like a reasonable man who is very patient with the fringe elements in his unit who are too radical, he is got to be assertive enough to say 'waryaada aniga i dhageysta' when they start calling the shots.
  17. Me you are a dreamer. I will to move to La and sip on camel milk.
  18. How long is your stay going to last? If you are a woman Minneapolis is the place to work due to the vast implementation of pay equity laws with regards to compensating work of comparable value along gender lines in most sectors anyway. Manitoba is the Canadian province right to top of it and it has the same legislations as well. That is crucial info for you if you want to ditch Aussie land for good.
  19. It is always easier to criticize. Somalia would have to hash up more capable leaders with vision and objective that have a firm grasp of the whole notion of nation states being independent sovereign an existing within an interdependant global context. I doubt the entities with the singe-minded agendas being purported as the answer to Mr. Yusuf posses the savy to understand the inviability of being a recognized nation state and the contract of unalienable personal rights that comes along with it. Their over played rhetoric although noble in purpose and intent due to its ability to unite misses the concept of fit(the local with the global). Try and imagine an unrecognized thriving muslim Somalia with all of its christian neighbors we'll be annexed before we can say Alla hooyoy. And if you for once believe that an Arab nation will bail us out take a long look at Palestine. ICUs global policy simply mush cala diin. Sometimes you get make a deal with the devil to keep afloat. Until someone better comes along Abti Abdullahi it is.
  20. Geez there are one too many threats flying around these days. The courts and SL should stay away from each other's throats for the greater good of all, if not that will just sink the rest of us into the depths of chaos and obscurity that they are already accustomed to. I don't know about y'all but I want to be a part of an internationally recognized Somalia. God protect us from the ambitions of people that are lacking in foresight.

  22. ^^^It belongs to the two immediate tribes in my lineage for sure. My uncle is going to gift me with a piece of his expansive land in this city so I have vested interest in it from now on. I'll see what I can do about getting a surety from Sheikh El Sherif to keep Mr. White Eyes away from my plot of land. I'm serious As for Barre Hirrale (I was under the impression it was 2 seperate men from what I read here, what is the need for carrying two last names?)he is a thug and a criminal him and his henchmen have absolutely no claim whatsoever on the city. Good riddance.
  23. They say desperate times call for desperate measures. We are seeing one bad attempt at PR after another coming from the pope's camp. I don't see how bad mouthing the prophet is going to restore trust and authority in the Roman Catholic Church.
  24. Perhaps they have a million & 2 more interesting things to do, provided that they don't live in the boonies ofcourse than to hang around/with complete strangers who might not necessarily have much in common with them. Perhaps Somali communities are primitive enough to masquerade as families so they want to escape the drama of being turned into a hot topic by shaqo la'an folks.

I guess she was operating on the same logic as you. Wake up and smell the gaxwa Xiin.
