  1. The Good: Ms. Lee is in vivacious mood.
  2. You all are missing the point. Women gravitate to soft sciences and the arts because they lack the wherewithal to do otherwise. They lack the brains. Women have smaller brains. Even the President of Harvard alluded to this a while back and you know if the president of Harvard thinks the same it must be true.
  3. The Good: fulfilling Val's wish -- beating up a SOL big Kahuna (not sure why tho) The bad: I had to partake in this thread
  4. I did make a suggestion. I said wear your skin.
  5. I prefer you don't wear anything if you don't mind.
  6. The poignant question that should be asked is ths: what religious precepts, tradition, and cultural requirements are muslim women willing to give up to be part of harmonious British society? If none, then why should the British acquiesce to muslim women's demands for accomodation?
  7. ^^You must lead very sheltered life to get offended by what anonymous people write on internet fora. Again, grow up.
  8. Ngonge, Your intellectual cowardness is showing! Originally posted by ibtisam: This kind of obsessive behavior is getting a bit worrying. What is the big deal of where it goes? And do you object to every other thread that in your opinion should be else where Do you have reading deficit or are you just trying to annoy me? Go read my recent posts and find me where I was making a fuss about where threads should belong to. You'll find this is the only thread and it was indifferent, careless reply. I was asked to explain how it's poetry and I did. Of course, my indifferent reply elicited a question which further elicited a reply and we're here now. But that hardly constitutes obsessive behaviour.

So many lifes that we end up confusing ourselves. Methinks you dost protest too much. Grow up! With no imperative beyond the biological, a true atheist, pressed hard enough by circumstances toward unethical or immoral behavior, cannot feel compelled to resist. Who would've thunk it, heh? You just confirmed my suspicion all along. I was grappling for an answer to account for your (and others as well) bizzare obsession in relegating the world into diametrically opposed camps. Be it democracy, be it secularism, be it any other question it always boils down, as far as you're concerned, binary option. You actually believe in the personage of Satan, that the world is locked in a perpetual cosmic struggle between the forces of Satan (read: all those who don't share your religion) and everyone else. Secularism is either good or bad. No room for compromise because that can be a subterfuge by Satan. Thanks, it explains a lot. Atheism can not provide a compelling argument at the concepts of ethics and morality themselves. I consider Atheism as illogical as Theism, I'm Lizard worshiper in case you don't know. But tell me this. In Papua New Guinea, the MUNDUGUMOR consider a child found on your doorstep in the morning an offering from the Gods... to be cooked and eaten with fresh bananas. They believe in God(s) and eat babies. Tell me what makes them immoral, unethical (I'm sure you'll consider them that much at least) without judging them by your moral and ethical standards. Besides where is good without God? Do you know what begging the question is? It's logical fallacy and you're committing it.

  11. Originally posted by NGONGE: Hasty rambler. Naah! Just have nose for sniffing out metaphysical and aesthetic BS suspended in meretricious trappings to make them look worthy of serious consideration. Pick a line and dissect it instead of worrying about its correct placement on this forum. Why would I wanna dissect poetry? To what practical end? What is to be gained by dissecting fiction? And even if you did attempt to dissect it, what empirical evidence can you present that'll show these quotes to be wrong? None! And that's my point. NOt only is any evidence against them be imponderable but the quotes themselves are imponderable as they only exist in language, not in reality.
  12. Originally posted by Sophist: Socod: You have a tendecy in attempting to trivialise things but whimsicality takes over you brother. More poetry. Is the above cogent reply to my last post or emotional reaction to it? I have provided my reasons accounting for my call that this thread belongs in poetry section and still awaits rebuttal.
  13. Cambaro and Cara are conspiciously missing. I wonder why?
  14. Originally posted by Devilangle: I came across something that said “man's heart is through his stomach” How true is that? I have this friend who is what you may call walking aphorism. Throwing at you left right and center all these idioms at the top of his head under false believe that he's actually saying something profound. When all he's doing is letting out hot air. The same rings true for the above phrase. It's meaningless.
  15. How is any of it nothing but poetry? How is this If you seek amusement, seek it in the absurdities of kufr. or this The greatest achievement of the ego is to make virtue unattractive. (ignoring factual error embedded in it as no such thing as ego exists) in any way meaningful other than to let us know how the sayer sees the world? Isn't that what poetry is essentially all about, for poets to mouth off their feelings by pretending to be furthering the cause of truth or knowledge? Of course they do otherwise poetry would have answered important questions by now or solved major world problems. That poetry hasn't furthered cause of knowledge and truth for 1000s of years is prove positive it's nothing but idle contemplation. Epistemically worthless. Personally, I get quotes of equal utalitarian use from fortune cookies. For example, the other day I got one that read Sometimes shid happens and someone has to wipe!. Very profound indeedy!
  16. Cambaro, Why are Atheists and secularists Satan personified? And who do you think has the upper hand in the cosmic battle between Good and Evil?
  17. It beats meeting your significant other at blood banks which is how it's done in Japan. Evidently, in Japan singles search for partners based on blood types since they're nearly homogenous society.
  18. Originally posted by Cara: Oh but I wouldn't presume to argue with someone who has a mortal fear of castration. Castration is very real, palpable threat. It's not abstract notation like atheism, that doesn't exist outside of language. Can you you provide logical defense of Atheism? We wait with bated breath.
  19. What a assorted bunch of voyeuristic pervs we got assembled here. Utterly sickening!
  20. Originally posted by J B: An Atheist is a person who doesen't beleive in the existance of a God or Gods as defined by the people of faith, But you can't falsify this assertion, therefore Atheism is irrational.
  21. Originally posted by Cambarro: Socod Badne You dont argue with women because they got no morals? Is this where you feel your moral sense is superior to that of a woman? What kind of women have you met? It's not about the kind of women I met, that's got nothing to do with it. Women got no morals because they don't fear castration. Only those who fear castration can have moral sense. This is veritable truth that you can not refute. Sorry to tell you but we men have moral scruples and you women lack them by default.
  22. Shouldn't this thread belong in Poetry section? Your question is utterly meaningless, epistemically worthless. It's like asking, "Is apple pie the ultimate pie?" Like poetry, it answers/solves no problems... just more idle chatter.
  23. The pro-ICU and anti-ICU are the peanut and the corn in a dung asking each other, "what's that stink?"
  24. Originally posted by fat boy: We are basically forced into assuming interest. What do you mean forced? Who's forcing you to collect interests? But moaning about interests while freely living in the land copious with interests charges for literally everything makes you look silly.
