  1. Duke, Honestly, I haven't the foggiest clue what all of this successionist business (I noticed you using seccesionist word pejoratively, why?) has to do with what's happening in Somalia today. Guessing what motivates people is exercise in futility, unless you got a magical instrument that instantly tells you what everyone's motivations are. It's guesswork at it's best. However, we'd like to hear from YOU about the following: 1. Do you support Ethiopian airforce bombing Somali cities? Yes or No. 2. What TFG actions and/or policies will compell you to stop supporting them.
  2. ^Rather than harp on the red herring You have no history in this part of the forum, why not address the substantive point I raised. I ask again, if the TFG is government for ALL Somalis, how can you be clanist if you don't support it?
  3. Originally posted by raadamiir: First and for most Somalia is a nation of qabil. So was Germany, Japan, England, Ireland, S. Korea, France, Italy, HOlland, etc. Literally every existing society on earth today either is or was at some point tribalistic. What's your point? Qabil is our culture our history and a way of life in many parts of Somalia. Clitorectomy and infibulation were also part and parcel of our culture, out history and our way of life. General consensus today is they're pernicious practices with no redeeming benefits to anyone and ought be stamped out. For the longest stretches of our sorry history, pastrol nomadism was our way of life, our culture and our history. Today, it's been abondoned en masse for more sedentary lifestyle. Pastoralism no longer viable way to earn a living. Qabiil falls in the same catergory. It may or may not have worked in the past (it hasn't in my view). It certainly is and was part of our culture, history and way of life. However, there are no good reasons why it should continue to be part of our culture and way of life. If you disagree, convince me otherwise. I'm all ears. What this Government is doing is making sure every qabil little or big have a voice in the TFG and to be represented now what is wrong with that. Why should we not support that. We shouldn't support the government for myriad of reasons, some I already mentioned. It's based on clan representation rather than qualification. Further, if the government worked, there should be no clan courts for the government is the government of the people, of every clan. The TFG is as much the clan court's people as it is everyone else. Or is it? Or do you guys like Siad Barre kind of Government where his Family was the whole Government? I can only speak for myself, S. Barre was despot that persecuted members of my immediate family. So no, I don't like his "kind" of government. The Clan Courts don't reject clan authority and legitimacy they want it to be powerfull, why do you think the Clan Courts which is of one clan wants Power sharing singly with the rest of Somalia. So? If they're able to do better job than anyone else, why should it matter which qabiil they hail from? I'm willing to live under the dominant rule of ANY qabiil as long as they show they can do better job than other candidates. What about you? NGonge, I was banking on Somalis opening my eyes and showing me the perks of being followers of Islam. Alas, they're as far removed from, never mention good Islamic behaving, as I am. Discounting phariseeism. Hornafrique, The TFG is my government as much as anyone else. My subclan has greater representation in the TFG than in the UIC upper echelon (it has none by the way). I have no one in my immediate family fighting for the Clan Courts. If I was motivated by clan loyalty, as you allege, I should be supporting the TFG not the Clan Courts. Sorry to shatter into pieces your theory that everyone is motivated by petty clan interests. The truth suks, doesn't it? I like to make one thing clear. My short term support of the Clan Courts doesn't mean I support narrow-minded, puritanical funny-hats calling the shots in future Somalia. But we live in the real world. We must choose between what we have infront of us, not what we would like. The choices are between Ethiopian supported inept TFG (the only think I recall them doing in their entire existence was lobbing chairs at each other in parliment and bickering over who gets which post or some silly other stuff) and Clan Courts. Not just clan courts but clan courts that markedly improved the life of the people of Xamar, removed the 1001 checkpoints in every 1000 sq. km, improved security, reopened the air and sea ports.

looool... what's the relevance of the first link to what's going on in Somalia?

The thing is there is difference between quantity and quality and that is the difference that makes a difference. Not regarding humans. There is no qualitative and quantitative distinctions among humans; it's biologically absurd concept. Human equality is contingent biological fact. UIC are sending to the frontline teenage boys from Mogdishu and gobolada dhexe. What's wrong with that? They told these young people lies such us, Ethiopia has envaded our country. Ethiopia DID invade Somalia, even the Ethiopian government itself confirms this. Only denying they're fighting somalis, stating they're in Somalia in training and advisory capacity to TFG. Of course, this is spin on reality as their tanks and soldiers are partaking in battles as we speak. That, according to many residents of the area.
  7. Originally posted by raadamiir: Why chose Clan Courts which represents One Clan over a Somali Government which represents every Somali Clan even those in the North? Let me take a crack at it. Maybe they reject clan authority and legitimacy. Like good muslims, they rather judge people by their deeds as opposed to who their great great great great great great great great great grangpa happened to be. Why do you think we should support a government devised for the sole purpose of keeping alive clanism?

The deadline they set was come and gone. They followed through with their antebellum threats. Regarding credibility and consistancy, the Courts have one over you. When, if ever, will you own up? As Crypto-Clanist, no one expects you to change your stance over the ICU anytime soon. But we do expect, nay demand, a modicum of objectivity. Not just from you but from everybody.
  9. Ladies, it's about time I stopped being your little pet peeve for the week, don't you think?
  10. Women take over the world, forcing every man to vacuum and do other house chores.

Where are the confirming, tangible facts for your Atheism? If Theism has shortcomings, that alone doesn't automaticaly make Atheism tenable proposition. Atheism still has to pull it's own weight and make the case for it's acceptance as true. In an essense, you're saying Theism is like any other loony credo for which no corroborating hard evidence exists. Lets for arguendo say that is true. Are you also as conspicuously anti-UFOist, Anti-Loc ness monsterist, Anti-Big Footist? How is your belief, predicated on another faith system that you allege is empirically lacking, make your Athesim anything more than your belief?

Here is the goal: http://youtube.com/watch?v=tb5_-Tggtw8&mode=related&search= I think Jose should quit the diamond midfield as we are superb when we play 4-3-3. I'm with Jose on this. All we need is a true blue #10 to play behind the front two... a playmaker to unlock defenses. The fact is with the diamond formation we retain possession much better. We are even able to get into very dangerous positions around the 18 yard box before the requisite final killer pass or play undoes us. I know Ballack plays there now but he aint a playmaker. In my eyes, he's more technically skilled Lampard... but all this is academic; the current stock of players produce our best team with 4-3-3. Lastly, I really like to see more of Robben. Remember that time two seasons ago when anytime he touched the ball he seemed either to carve out a chance for himself or others almost at will. Here is some compilation of that Robben:
  13. ^Slow uptake day? That crazy talk of yours makes ZERO sense!
  14. Like any political commentator, he's just talking out of his stinky hole dude.

  16. ^Not good enough. Give Chelsea it's fair due. They're the best team in the world at the moment. C'mon, say it! Didn't see the game, no show in Canada which I consider a crime of first order. Heard Drogba scored , again!!!, another goal of the season contender.

Get off your victimhood trip pal... there's nothing unique/special about these mass graves in their own. Many alike have been unearthed before both in Somalia and around the world, you can bet your bottom dollar many more will be unearthed in the future... man's cruelty to fellow man is part and parcel of the human conditioned. And only rabid trabilist like you will see it any different.
  18. Your uncle is blustering. Maybe you can go to Jowhar and put some force behind his words. What do you think?
  19. Chelsea should coast through. Banking on them to win the whole thing this year. My darkhorse pick for this season is Lille. Never seen them play and I think Ligue 1 clubs are way underrated.

  22. Let me see if I get this straight. A muslim women takes off her God enjoined Hijab for fleeting "better" life with the debauched US army? Rather get an earfull, her "courage" is praised? What courage? She undressed for the highest bidder.
  23. ^dude take down the venerable A. Cadde's pic, you're disgracing him with your stance. The mosque was a meeting place for seance and you know that practice is unequivocally unislamic. What's there to discuss?
