NEW YORK — Jason Itzler served time in prison for running a high-end call girl service in New York City. Back then he met Ashley Alexandra Dupre — the woman at the center of the Eliot Spitzer sex scandal, MyFOXNY.com reports. Itzler, who once called himself the “King of All Pimps,” said Dupre was one of the best hookers he'd ever worked with. Itzler ran a high-priced escort agency called “New York Confidential,” and said Dupre worked for him. He claims Dupre was 19 at the time and went by the name "Victoria." Dupre was a cocktail waitress at the Hotel Gansevoort in Manhattan and served him a drink, Itzler said. Thinking she was beautiful, he asked her out on a date. He gave her his card, not mentioning what he did for a living. Several days later Itzler said Dupre called him and told him, “I want to work for you,” MyFOXNY.com reports. It was Dupre’s idea to work for him, Itzler claims. He said she was not a runaway or homeless, but had a job that was not easy to get. He claims the Hotel Gansevoort is very selective. Itzler told MyFOXNY.com that Dupre is "going to be huge." He said that she is beautiful and will likely become a star because of her singing abilities as well as her looks. Responding to a New York Times article claiming that high-end call girls are subjected to abuse as much as women who walk the streets, Itzler said: "Don't believe everything you read. Lawmakers passed a bill on Thursday that could mean suspensions for students with droopy britches. It won't become law unless the House of Representatives passes a companion measure. Florida could join several southern U.S. towns and cities that have passed "saggy pants" laws aimed at outlawing what some teenagers consider a fashion statement -- wearing pants half way down their buttocks, exposing flesh or underwear. Supporters say schools sometimes don't properly police dress codes and parents are often "under aware" of what their kids are wearing to school. Critics say the measure is unnecessary, arguing that appearance and dress codes should be the responsibility of school districts and parents. Despite being the butt of jokes, the bill's sponsor, Orlando Sen. Gary Siplin, a Democrat, has said the fashion statement has a back-story -- it was made popular by rap artists after first appearing among prison inmates as a signal they were looking for sex. "All we're trying to do now is trying to inform folks that we have a fad now that does not have a very good origination," Siplin said. "We're trying to make an example in school," he added, saying it would help students get jobs and a degree. The Florida city of Riviera Beach passed its own saggy pants law on Tuesday, with a maximum penalty of 60 days in jail for repeat offenders.

Women may be at risk of developing mental health problems as a result of having an abortion, a leading group of doctors has warned.The Royal College of Psychiatrists has changed its position on how terminating a pregnancy affects women in the face of new evidence. Until now the college said the risk of psychological problems that come from following through with the pregnancy outweighed those of having an abortion. But a major review of its position has resulted in a shift that acknowledges for the first time there may be mental health consequences of terminations. Its position, last reviewed in 1994, stated that the risks of developing mental health for women who have abortions were much less than those who proceed with a pregnancy. In new documents published by timesonline it now states: "The specific issue of whether or not induced abortion has harmful effects on women's mental health remains to be fully resolved. "The current research evidence base is inconclusive - some studies indicate no evidence of harm, whilst other studies identify a range of mental disorders following abortion." The college suggests information leaflets for women considering having abortions may need to include this new advice. A YouGov poll by The Sunday Times found 59% of women would support a reduction in the upper time limit for "social" abortions from 24 to 20 weeks. Just under half of women and men approved a reduction, while 35% said they wanted to keep the status quo. MPs are expected to vote in coming months on a such change in the law.
