(is that against Islam?) I don’t think! "smart brother watched u studied u"--Umm, so is this how hip-cool-modern-iikhwaan brothers operate these days? Sounds like stalking to me lol. Whatever happend to lowering your gaze?
  3. That's the way! I would have done the same thing hang up on him, some issues should not be talked about, where is the xishood? He definitely needs to learn how to talk to a young lady. What kind of a guy would talk about his ex girlfriend on your first phone conversation? He is a definite NO NO. And he has the nerve to brag about the gifts he purchased for her? *Waa wasaq*!

    naya

Naya is a touchy subject but it all depends on what region of Somali you are from. Reer waqooyis find Naya acceptable, reer koofurs find it despicable.

By yourself? The word freak comes to mind! Believe it or not, The only scary movie I have ever watched was ' I know what you did last summer' . And that was enough to last me a life time. I can't stomach war and scary movies. A couple of my freinds are addicted to Japanese horror movies, from what I have heard they are pretty scary. I tend to stay FAR away from movies like that.
  6. Brother Nur, I would like to make a request. '101 ways to have your duca accepted.' Now thats a topic I would like to read about not that I object to any of your topics.
  7. Didn't a turkish guy also win a noble prize of some sort , I cant remember it might have been to do with literature? I could be wrong!Orhan rather was his name.
  8. Where I am from at 15 you can learn to drive and at 16 you can get a full licence. Believe it not. At 15 driving was the hottest I could do( I know that sounds bizzare but not to a 15 year old). Manual isn't as hard as everyone makes it sound, the most embrassing thing you can do is what we call 'bunny hoping' . I hated those moments. I use to loose complete control of the car. A guy freind of mine recently told me he cant drive a manual car and I thought that was odd and kinda embrassing. He assured me he was not alone. Driving an automatic car is boring.! Besides manual cars are cheaper if you decide to purchase a car for the long run and they are also less costly.
  9. When will the muslims get it, you are simply not wanted.! Remove your veil what next I wonder?
  10. I am shocked. Subhanalaah, tribilism is taking somali back to jahiliya times. When will this terrible disease be cured?
  11. Dubai here I come , the place looks as good as New Zealand.
  12. 78 years old you say, wow atleast she lived life. I care more about the children in Iraq and the children in afghanstian than a nun.
  13. A woman should always value herself, and asking a man to marry her isn't a respectful thing to do. A lady should always be considerate of the feelings of a man , thus by not asking for his hand she is sparing him from humiliation and the degrading of his manhood men are so emtional.
  14. croc hunter and peter brock the two most influential Australian ambassadors known to us the kiwis.

  16. ^^ Stop corrupting the young girl. What kind of questions are you throwing at her? And don't majority of Somali man appreciate adipose tissue? I have been told by my aunty , the most gorgeous lady I have set eyes on , that in her youth she was not considered attractive at all, because she was slim and tall. Bizzare! According to her even the unfortunate looking men didn't glance her way. Cajiib. Don't mistake her analysis of somali men as desperation , I am sure she was more than glad she was not receiving too much attention. Back to the topic, Preedy dear if the brother is into you , he would be more upfront and demanding and you would think after five years there would be wedding bells, in your case it doesn't seem so, don't take my word I could be wrong. My advice is don't wait around, I do understand five years is a long time but it isn't a lifetime. As a sister remember you must always act as a lady , make sure you are treated as one and no less. Don't call uphold your dignity. Wait for his call if you are that desperate but DON'T CALL , who knows his silence might be a blessing in disguise.

  18. Club isnt the word I would use. I recently attended a grand wedding myself. If anything I thought it was a pick-up joint. The sisters where so eager and constantly looking around. It must be all the lovie-dovie feeling in the air. While the brothers looked calm up against the walls. Just my observation.

What kind of a gentleman is he? ( I sincerly hope he is reading this). Walee waa akharusanaam lol. No-one answered my previous question. Are there any couples among us? Who knows a married couple might have posted in this very topic. Not that I sensed any chemistry in this topic. But I still have certain individuals in mind. I am tempted to scream names out---
  20. Legend---Can't say. But I did one time suspect you and some Aussie chick around here , but I dont want to get myself into hot water. Better leave it at that. Optus free time does wonders I hear
  21. The question shouldnt be who is marrying who , the question should rather be which SOL members are married to one another? Are there couples who post here and are married? I am curious after all it was curiousty that killed the cat. I just want to know if I can spot any on-screen chemistry between married SOL members. Who agress?--- Come on spill the beans. I already guess there must be atleast three couples. Rendezvous-Congradulations on the couple not that I would ever accept the idea of meeting my future spouse over the net. Freaky, did you say she travelled to see him? I hope not He is forgiven if he paid for the ticket and the shopping
  22. Yap ,I can bearly keep up with time. I recall when I was 13 wishing to be 20, like that was being an adult know that I am a young lady I wish time could slow down , so I can do all the things I want in a day. It's amazing as we grow time goes faster . I am like hang on wait. The funny thing is as each day goes by and each minute we get closer to our death, so it's a scary thing to be honest, and I am not yet ready to depart this world. So I do wish time could slow down so I could do more cibaada. This world is nothing but playful and amusements. I use to thing being 20 was old know I thing being 30 is young and inshallah if reach 30 will I say 40 is young? maybe so. I am wondering where did the month of July run of to? Bisinka July was yesterday so was January see what I mean. The baraka has been taken out of time.
  23. I am sure you saw your family only Otherwise did someone mention somalis are a combination of "xabashis" and arabs in disguise..Ethiopian men are thick..Jareer type..you would better talk about Eritreans whi similar to us.. [/QB] Seriously did you read what you wrote? Since when are we decendents of the Xabash tribe? Who has been feeding you this load of crap? Walaal go back and maybe learn a thing or two about Somali history it seems even I can upstage you , heck that isn't a good thing.
