  1. Koyoti, Sxb, most of your latest young stars to emerge have been mainly foreign. i mean take a look at Diarra, Eboue and the couple of lads on load at birmingham (Bendtner and Larsson. i think the last real english talent you produced was ashley cole and he mended his wrong ways by joining the Mighty blues. Most sides will have loads of young english dudes in their reserves but they usually end up at lower leauge sides or decent prem side i.e. blackburn at best. This goes for chelsea, arsenal, liverpool and man u although they perhaps have been the most successful in producing english players. Back to the queen, I wouldnt be surprised if she was a royal gloryhunter , as she is the leader of the prawn sandwich brigade
  2. How old is this map if its still referring Djibouti as 'french somaliland'? I think this must have been something that Haile Selassie dreamt up
  3. Digibac, If you read the full article you would notice that almost everything that Bashir wrote in this article. he may have exagerated some of the examples of minority abuse in somali culture but the essence of his arguement is very true and we as a people have to be ashamed of the disgraceful of our own brothers back home.
  4. Jacaylbaro, Come on man what is you hiding from us that we dont know about Buurmadow?
  5. Xanthus, that is a bit of scary avatar you got, what you trying to scare us all into submission?
  6. Maakhir, I am not a fan of Riyaale, but one thing he certainly is not is a dictator. he is a democratically elected President and he has done some good work for Somaliland but has made some wrong decisions as well. In general i dont think he has been that good in his job but he has shown commitment and integrity in his role and for that i respect him. Jacaylbaro, all what we want is to close our border with qolada shishe ,,,,,,,,,, and we will do it through negotiations like this going on in Erigavo now ,,,,,, and that will be done sooner or later ,, for sure. Well put.....
  7. These guys are talking about Eritrean support for somaliland all over the place, but where is this support and in what way has it been shown? If we got the support of Eritrea it would be a good thing for us as they are a muslim country with whom we would happily have trade and political relationships but so far i have never heard such a relationship existing so please provide some prove of this. I for one am very interested in knowing this.
  8. Yeah i remember that, there was a thread on here that made me laugh out loud which had puntlanders on here claiming that these people didnt have the right documents so they were deported I hadnt realised how sophisticated puntlands immigration control had got until then
  9. Sky, If what is happening right cannot make you turn on abdulahi yusuf then the reasons you originally supported him for must have been very strong i think we can guess what THAT reason was
  10. Saaxibayaal, a full on war in the region is not good for anybody so lets hope it doesnt have to come to that
  11. Lol @Wagooyi Duke is at least right in pointing that out with his endless posts and mindnumbing overposting of pictures.
  12. I dont think colonisation is the right word- Military Anihilation is closer to it i think
  13. I am not so sure about his intentions either. he has his fingers into too many pots of honey in terms of trying to please everybody. he needs to be more upfront and straightforward about how he feels his ideals of peace can be achieved. too much talk i think
  14. Its about a week old so it is not that old news and like brother Bada Cas said it is good news for people on the ground that this trade has been revived.
  15. I think it is good news that this part of somali trade in general has revived in recent times in the whole region. Hargeysa, Somaliland, April 14, 2007 (SL Times) – The Somaliland livestock minister has announced on Monday that an agreement on livestock exports has been reached between Somaliland and a Saudi Arabian businessman. The businessman will export 2,000,000 heads of cattle, camels or goats per year. The Somaliland livestock minister said at a meeting that the agreement between the government and the businessman, who goes by the name Sulayman Sa'id al-Jabiri, has two provisions: 1. The businessman should buy 2,000,000 heads of livestock - camels, cattle or goats from Somaliland every year and export them to Saudi Arabia. 2. Building of a quarantine camp for livestock meant to undergo health checks in Berbera that meet international standards. The camp will have the capacity of keeping 5,000,000 heads of cattle, camels or goats and it will be funded by the businessman. The construction of this camp will begin at the end of this week. The Somaliland livestock minister also mentioned that the sale of livestock to Yemen will remain as it is. The minister noted that this agreement would be useful for exporting Somaliland livestock to Saudi Arabia, where a ban used to exist on livestock from Somaliland. Source: Somaliland Times
  16. All is fair indeed, i agree Somaliland shouldnt go into area's where it is not wanted. but it has never been proven that it has done this. it has tried to defend its territory from invading puntland troops but that is not invading areas that dont belong to it. it is the opposite it is trying to defend others from doing that to its terriotory. unless it is proven by an independent consensus/referendum that the area doesnt want to be part of Somaliland it cannot be said that those areas dont belong to Somaliland. the referendum of 2001 proved Somalilands case and there will need to be evidence to prove that the referendum was wrong. so far i havent seen that.
  17. IGAD are a useless entity who have no real significance. I think Eritrea leaving it doesnt change it significance one way or another
  18. Red Sea, You can keep asking them those straightforward questions but they will keep dodging it so i wouldnt couldnt wasting my time. In terms of this affair i think these guys want a full out war to solve the disputes as that seems to be all they are erring on. we all know that is the last thing the region needs but if it is the only thing they want and are willing to listen to, then perhaps that is what should happen. i would be completely against it ofcourse but if they are getting so excited about something so small can you imagine what they would be like if we launched a full out war against them. personally i see no reason why that should ever happen, but it is something that is always there if these guys keep going on about it. Xoogsadeh, Somaliland would be willing to sit down and talk with a government like the one you hoped for Somalia to have in the future. But we all know that the likeliness of such government ever being realised are slowly fading away.
  19. Geel Jireh, You cannot lump Somaliland in the same bracket as the TFG. Somaliland has a trade and commercial relationship with Ethiopia which is nothing special as they are neighbours and share a long border. The TFG on the other hand has invited Ethiopians into their country to slay their people and destroy their cities. they are supporting the continued invation of their land and their supporters are justifying. also you have to remember that somalia killed more Somalilanders then the ethiopians ever did. Also the ethiopian army has never and wont set foot in Somaliland. the two contrasts are big and therefore your allegations are unfair if not unfounded
  20. America it seems, not only wants to fight its war on terror to the last Iraqi but to the last Somali as well. A truly harrowing statement that makes everyone see the grave reality of goings on in the south expect for the TFG supporters whose blind support for their uncles has made them loose all sense of reality
  21. It doesnt matter who the resistance fighters ,i and every other proud somali will support them in their fight and resistance against the etho's, ugandans and their TFG supporters.
  22. Geeljireh, It seems more important to the Planders than the major destruction and killings that are going on in Mugdisho. they are more concerned about a minor battle then a full-out war against their own people in the south, Shame on you
  23. Puntland is indeed a one clan entity but the same cannot be said for Somaliland. they consist of several large clans. there is a majority clan but the president and several other influencial people are from the other clans that inhabit somaliland.
  24. They have trade partnership with somaliland yes but no way will they go near Somaliland in agression. we have trade with them because of the border we share with but unlike Somalia they are not going around killing, raping, destroying pillaging our land. dont put Somaliland in that same category sxb
  25. Xiin, Those areas will have the same status and support within Somaliland.
