  1. Faheema mate, did you out of curiosity even bothered to read what I wrote before you decided to comment? All I was saying was everyone is entitled to marry whoever they like, however I cannot stand the sheer hypocrisy and the double standards displayed when a convert comes knocking a Somali sister's door. Automatically the Halimo will put him on a pedestal and start portraying our Somali brothers as pathetic and some garbage which I have witnessed first-hand. I’m beginning to suspect that the likes of Aaaliyah and Narniah are in the closet waiting for a convert who will most likely be a convicted criminal. Girls go ahead and jump in bed with buuryoqab by all means but please stop projecting and promoting your twisted views, ajanabi-loving anti-somali agenda as a model and something to aspire for. I have third generation Indians and Arabs as friends and they would never contemplate marrying outside their own race. In contrast the self-hating Halimos have no hesitation in jumping the convert’s bandwagon and have no qualms in joining the Somali bashing brigade. It appears many Somali sisters on this forum cannot fathom this and would rather prefer that we sugar coat the truth and bury this issue under the carpet, however that’s not me and I say it like I see it, to some this may sound harsh laakiin Rabigeen runtuu jecelyahay. I also noticed that many of the brothers have their eyes wide open and can see this double standards and disturbing phenomenon and have no problem in calling it like it is.
  2. I need a new phone, I'm done with my iphone.
  3. Aaliyyah;913282 wrote: Garowe girl hun no need to generalize. It all boils down to the couple if they want to have a big or a small wedding regardless of their race. I have seen somali girls who married somali guys and did not demand much. It is one thing to want a somali spouse for yourself and being cultured. It is quite another to be disrespectful to other people simply because they dont share the same values. Halaga caqli bato intaas. Aaliyah I am not sure what you’re talking about. No one is arguing that people shouldn’t marry who they want but I just pointed out the sheer hypocrisy of the self-hating, ajanabi-loving so called Somali sisters who go out of their way to demean and denigrate our Somali brothers in order to justify their obsession with other men from other races. I also cannot stand and I have no space or time for people like you who try to defend or make some sort of excuse for those kind of Somali-bashing, self-hating sisters. I cannot fathom why you would want to normalize or push such a twisted agenda on us. For example, one of your favourite inspirational speakers i.e Brother Mohamed Diini was warning us in one of his lectures that he is always ashamed and embarrassed to see Somali girls are the first put their hands up and are ready to run after an Ajanabi. He urged us Somali girls and boys to stick to their own race. He emphasized that this phenomenon is prevalent and so pervasive in the Somali communities throughout the diaspora . Anecdotally, I have heard some horrible stories involving self-hating Somali chicks who run away with Ajanabi only to come back to the community distraught and depressed. When a Somali brother wants to marry a Somali sister, the girl's family will do some background check to ascertain his suitability, character and Deen, however with converts they get away with so much as no one knows their family or background. Islamically, the four imams unanimously encourage and recommend one to marry within his own race. Also, in Islam one should check the person's akhlaq or character as well as their diin. However, it appears many of those self-hating sisters are mesmerised by a convert's big-beard or that he is a brand new Muslim, so he must be a special catch. By the way, Somali guys are not immune from this disease. I have seen some eligible and educated Somali guys marrying outside the race, and this equally disturbing.
  4. Chubacka- There is nothing weird about Somali brides wearing the white dress back home it's nothing of phenomenon they were doing that back in the 50's and 60's not mention females back in Somali never ever covered till they married. The Somali today is far different to the Somali back then. Aaliyyah;913123 wrote: Garowe girl, the somali community isn't too supportive of people who marry outside of their race. So even if they do have a wedding perhaps the parents don't even want to invite the whole city to the wedding as they would if their daughter or son married within their race. Those weddings are usually small and only few close people are invited. I guess to sort of keep it low key. Come on Aliyah! If she was marrying a Somali guy she would have demanded a lavish wedding and loads of money but when it's a bloody white convert she is happy to sleep on the floor and submit to everything he demands. And there are many parents that are supportive of their daughters marrying outside the race. I find it laughable that a lot of self-hating sisters always try to justify their actions in relation to their convert husbands. They shamelessly state that their convert husbands are so pure, pious and prefer a low key wedding when in fact we know that this far from the truth. However, if a fellow Farah wanted to marry her she wouldn’t hesitate in demanding a fifty thousand dowry and a flashy wedding. And why is it the converts are always considered and ‘labelled’ to be better than all the Somali brothers?
  5. ^Yap me love tennis. Well done Djokovic, Murray choked one again.......
  6. Get lost.. as if I talk to lost souls like you. You are barking up the wrong tree.

Alpha Blondy;913001 wrote: why are you insulting eedo edna for? so random and so vulgar. worst of all, your a woman, and you insult another woman. you people are your worst enemies. i'm sorry for insulting you. Alpha I didnt not insult your eedo Acuudi bilaah. I now know I hit a raw nerve.. oops. I stated the obvious that your Eedo was once upon a time a respected lady and the wife of a Somali PM, and now she is nothing but a qabiileeysato that hates her own race. who could forget her diatribe infront of whitemen calling her own kith and kin terrorists and degrading the good name of the SOMALI republic as SOOOOmaaLIYYYYaa. Shame on you for continuing to worship such a wicked woman. It is the likes of you and your eedo that demean and destroy the achievements of women. and how dare you insult such a dignified woman i.e Dr Hawa by calling her "silly old lady and a sell out" in your earlier post. Wardee iskuxishood oo ayeeyooyinka afakaaga huurada leh hala gaarin.

I cant believe you worsip your eedo aka Edna as a modern day prophet. War dee isku xishood adigoo kalaa raga soomaaliyeed sharaftooda meel uga dhacay.
  9. Come Djokovic teach that bloody Murray a lesson we are not sure if he is a Scott or Brit whatever the case maybe send home will ya? And do it quick!
  10. Pity, only if Edna Aden was half as classy and as educated as Dr Hawa the rest of Somali people might have had some respect for her. It saddens me to see a woman of that age forever tarnish her reputation in the sight of the Somali people ALL in the name of qabil. Pathetic woman, May Allah Guide you amiin!
  11. ^ Nice! I don't believe I have ever seen a bride wearing green, I like. I personally detest any Somali bride wearing the 'white dress' I'm simply against it because it's not part of our culture. I think the white dress should ONLY be worn by those who marry outside the race to symbolize their departure from our community that's if they ever have a wedding LOL. Horta, what's up with Somali sisters that marry outside the race? Why don't they ever have a wedding? And why is it they disappear from the community as soon as they marry outside the race unlike other cultures.
  12. He is OKAY, I have heard a few good voices in our own community.
  13. Meeshaan magacii sayidka ayaa meel looga dhacay. I have no doubt the Sayid is now rolling in his grave as his good name has been tarnished by the parading of Somali beauties infront of he stinking Amxaaro Injirleey oo uu aduunka ugu necbaa.
  14. White men kill for fun whereas other races tend to have a reason to spill blood.
  15. Don't stress Somali men majority of you will not need to wear the niqab our men are not that all too good looking
  16. I shake hands with the opposite sex ONLY at job interviews. It's so daunting to explain why I shouldn't be shaking hands so I simply just shake their hand and don't give it much thought I do feel guilty afterwards though.
  17. They should be banned for life. I'm disgusted at the turn of events. Now there are two children without a mother. As a proud republican I can't wait to see the end of this monarchy in my lifetime.
  18. Raamsade has a valid point here that can't be ignored. We are indeed witnessing a major assault on manhood thanks to Hollywood, where I can't help but notice the dreadful unhealthy 'trend' of men looking more feminine than the women. Just look at Justin Beiber who has been deliberately made-up to resemble a young teenage girl minus the boobs of course, you don't have to be a very observant individual to notice his long eyelashes, perfect plucked eyebrows, bright shiny pink lips and the amount of blush across his cheeks is just plain and simple feminine. Perhaps this is what attracts millions of crazed teens to him because he looks just like one of them. It appears modern women are no longer keen on the macho men that are constantly in the gym rather they prefer the clean-shaven, soft-spoken, pink-wearing metro -sexual sort of men like David Beckham. They prefer the sensitive kind the ones that are in touch with their feminine side, the sort that can sit through a dreadful romantic comedy all while enjoying it, willing to gossip, comment on the latest fashion trend, and help his girlfriend pick out a smashing outfit to a night out in town. As a long term SOL resident, I know some who quite perfectly fit the above description without naming anyone:) I lately noticed that Somali men are not immune to this dreadful and disgusting trend. I have seen Somali guys wearing low-hanging skinny jeans that leave no room for imagination with tight tops.I am really worried that the male species is becoming extinct before our own eyes:)
  19. I just can't cook at all. I hate cooking but I love to clean surely that must count for something right?
  20. I don't see the point in bashing a female not just a female but an entertainer when there are plenty of spies and traitors within the 'tolka'.
  21. My friend from university has recently been diagnosed with cancer, this disease is increasing more and more in developed countries, this disease is suppose to be a disease largely of later life unfortunately there are many young people that die of it. Last week she started low dose of chemotherapy. I must admit I'm still coming to terms with this dreadful and distressing news. This is a timely reminder life is too short.
  22. As an outsider, I think both leaders are terrible BUT Romney would start wars with Iran, China and Russia. He would be another Bush but perhaps far worse so I am hoping Obama would win by a landslide.
  23. I cannot fathom that the new Somali government had the audacity to appoint a self-confessed secessionist to the most important ministerial portfolio i.e. the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, whose primary role involves protecting the territorial integrity of Somalia and projecting the national interest of Somalia to the outside world. This outrageous action cannot be accepted by anyone with an ounce of Somalinimo and is nothing short of treasonous. Mr qoslaayo has lost today all credibility and integrity in the eyes of the Somali people, and I hope and pray that the Somali Parliament will have the backbone to reject her nomination outright.
