  5. LooooooooooL@Gabadhuuhada xuux waaye..I would run away from too. Eritians and Oromos are better looking, but we should definately send the Amxaars/Tigrays (the actual Habashis) back to the highlands.
  6. ^^^But doesn't Geedi have the support of the mayor and other leading figures from his sub-clan. Removing him mounts to cut his support base. And this is acutely important in such tribal-infested entity like TFG. Surely, the TFG and Yeey doesn't want Yeey's folks joining the insurgency out of spite.
  7. ^^^I thought you cared about peace than you do about who has the upper hand in LA? You are one interesting fella!
  8. ^^^In fairness to them, who could resist Somali cuties like buuxo
  9. ^^^LoooooooooooL...Gals beware then. Maybe they think that they "own" their lovers. I have seen some Ethio guys with that mentality.Coincidently, that's how they feel about the horn of Africa.
  10. ^^^And who stalked you? Something weird about Ethio Christians. Me think they prey on the weak.
  11. Marriage is an outdated institution that needs a complete revamp.
  12. Interesting development, I doubt it would be easy to get rid off Geedi since he solidified his base with Dheere as mayor of Mogadisho, not mention Ina Jeelle, and even to an extent Cadaani on board. The Ethios too find it easier to deal with Geedi than they do with Yeey. We will see Yeey could outmanuever Geedi without the TFG imploding.
  13. ^^^^Don't playa hate ayeeyo, but you are right that man is atleast 40. Big ups to him though 40yrs screwing 23 old....He is almost catching up with Odayaasha Somaalida. Lazy.....You don't wanna know what I think of the letter "J" P.S. Riddles make my head ache.

  20. ok more like kidnapped in Somalia and bad time to be marrying Christian Ethio. Boyfriend concerned she's in jail for refusing arranged marriage Wednesday, October 03, 2007 Michelle Shephard Staff Reporter The mysterious disappearance of a 23-year-old Toronto woman in Somalia has Canadian officials looking for her, and her boyfriend worried she's being punished for their relationship. Najah Jama has not been heard from since August when she called her boyfriend at the Toronto apartment they share, telling him she was jailed for refusing to marry a local Somali. Jama had left Toronto with her mother in March for a six-month vacation in northern Somalia. It was the first time she had ever visited her mother's homeland. The couple stayed in touch during her vacation, but in July a distraught Jama called her boyfriend, Seifu Getahun, to say she had been taken into custody. She said her mother had asked her to marry a Muslim man from her hometown and became upset and called police when Jama insisted she wanted to wed Getahun, a Canadian of Ethiopian Christian heritage. Ethiopia and Somalia have a long history of war, most recently exacerbated by the presence of Ethiopian troops in Mogadishu, the country's anarchic capital. None of Jama's relatives could be reached for comment. Getahun said he last spoke with Jama on Aug. 1, after she said she bribed a guard to use his cellphone. A telephone bill of that conversation shows a 27-minute call to a Somali cellphone. Calls to that number went unanswered this week. But Getahun said he also received a call earlier this summer from Jama's brother asking for money. Her brother told him that Jama was in jail because she had gotten in a fight with another woman and needed money to get her out. Getahun wired $50, after which the brother's phone number no longer worked. When asked what he believes has happened to his girlfriend, Getahun replied, "I trust her. When she was here we were together 24/7." Before Jama left, the couple had made plans to meet in Ethiopia in September.. Getahun met Jama at a downtown coffee shop almost three years ago and they have been dating since. The 34-year-old works as a cleaner at an upscale condo near King and Sherbourne Sts. Jama did not work, so spent most days with Getahun at the building where residents grew to know her well. "She'd give you the shirt off her back. She's a very gentle, kind person with a childlike quality to her," said resident Maureen Muscott-Smith. A government spokesperson confirmed that officials are trying to determine Jama's whereabouts, but would say little of the case, citing privacy laws. The Canadian government's only representatives in the area are stationed at Nairobi's High Commission in neighbouring Kenya. Further complicating the murky story is the fact that the normally calm region in northern Somalia where Jama is allegedly detained has erupted in fighting this week. 21. We need sustained and concerted effort to bring the Oga-den plight to life. The Sub-committee hearing is good start. Of course political unity among Somalis even it is just Somaligalbeed to bear any pressure on Zenawi regime. Ethiopia angry at proposed U.S. aid sanction Wed Oct 3, 2007 11:59am EDT (Adds details on bill) By C. Bryson Hull NAIROBI, Oct 3 (Reuters) - Ethiopia on Wednesday strongly criticised a U.S. law moving through Congress that links future aid to democratic reforms, calling it a threat to regional stability and its close military ties with Washington. The U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday passed the Ethiopian Democracy and Accountability Act, which demands Washington's top counter-terrorism partner in the Horn of Africa make a host of democratic changes or face security aid cuts. The bill, which still needs U.S. Senate approval and a presidential signature, would also deny U.S. entry visas to any Ethiopian government official involved in what it calls human rights violations, unless the president authorised a waiver. The act would bar the aid unless Ethiopia accepted outside rights monitoring, fostered an independent judiciary and media, and allowed U.S.-funded aid to those ends. In addition, the bill would direct $20 million to political parties and civil-society groups in Ethiopia to promote democracy. "The legislation also would undermine regional stability in the Horn of Africa by jeopardising vital security cooperation between the United States and Ethiopia," Ethiopia's ambassador to the United States, Samuel Assefa, said in a statement. He said if "the irresponsible legislation" becomes law, "it would create fresh obstacles to Ethiopia's bold efforts toward comprehensive democratic reforms". Ethiopia, with the strongest army in the Horn, is in the thick of several intertwined conflicts, including its backing of the Somali government against insurgents, a border standoff with Eritrea and its fight against insurgents at home. EXEMPTIONS U.S. military and counter-terrorism leaders consider Ethiopia a critical bulwark against al Qaeda operatives known to be operating in east Africa since the 1998 bombings at the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. The Bush administration has requested $1.5 million in military aid to Ethiopia for the fiscal year that started Oct. 1, of which $650,000 would be directed toward military education and training, according to the U.S. State Department. The congressional bill would exempt counter-terrorism and peacekeeping operations from any funding restrictions. Funds for health care and food would also be untouched. The Bush administration has requested $654 million for health and economic assistance for this fiscal year. The congressional vote came two years after violent protests over Ethiopia's 2005 election results that left nearly 200 people dead when opposition protesters claiming vote-rigging clashed with security forces. That, and a subsequent trial of opposition members including those who won seats in parliament, led to criticism from rights groups and the withholding of certain aid by European donors. Prime Minister Meles Zenawi says his government held the fairest multi-party polls in Ethiopian history. Foreign teams noted some problems but said the polls were broadly fair. Addis Ababa argues it has made reforms, and could not tolerate organised protests it said amounted to treason. In July Ethiopia pardoned nearly all of those convicted four days after their sentencing. Samuel said the presence of two pardoned opposition leaders at U.S. congressional hearings was proof of Ethiopia's democratic commitment. The ****** National Liberation Front (ONLF) rebel group, which demands greater self-rule in its eastern Ethiopian region and accuses the government of atrocities, applauded the bill. "The U.S. House of Representatives has shown that executing the global war on terrorism is not incompatible with the forceful promotion of human rights and democracy," it said.
  22. An eerie calm before the storm hits? LoooL@North...a bit of both I guess

  24. That was typo Duke..I meant certain sections of Xamar. It is clear Ethios are using scorch earth policy to uproot the Xamar population in order to take care of the insurgency. Paragon...Qaybdiid was the first thing that came when I saw the title of the thread.
