  1. Very sad pictures indeed. May Allah rest their souls in peace. Mobb_Deep... The genocide in the North began way before 1988. In fact, most of the disappearances of intellectuals, the killings of students, the rapings... the events that led to the declaration and the establishment of the SNM happened way before the SNM came into the cities. 1988 was the climax of the war. I personally remember the 1986 curfew that run 24 hours for about 2 weeks. In that curfew, every shop, every hospital everything was shut down, you would be killed on the spot if they found you infront of your house let alone on the streets. I remember my family cooking what little food we had using wood from our " wooden chairs" and "wooden tables" (the contents of our house) as fuel to cook because there was sever shortage of fuel and no one dared to step outside the house. In the subsiquent years, the curfew was eased up a little, and it run from 3PM to 7AM everyday. This is only what I could remember as a kid, but the stories are horrif and to say the genocide started in 1988 doesn't do justice to those innocent people that were killed before the 1988 war.
  2. All peace loving Somali's should demonstrate against Dahir Riyaale and the we are dreaming crew. On what grounds my friend? Demonstarte for Somali Unity and peace I think, you should put your house in order before you talk about "unity". 40+ warlords, how divided can you get and you are talking about "unity"... Charity begins at Home! HORNAFRIK says: I am against it's seccessionst stance. How ironic, you are against the wishes and aspirations of a people. Brother, don't you think, at some point or another, you need to let go somethings? It is 14 years since saaxib, you can not dream on and on and on forever.
  3. Jaamac_Bootaan: Hargeisa (SomalilandNet) Jaamac, that is very lame one, I may say. Anyways, the level of hatred from Allpuntland.com, is very apparent. It makes a mountain out of a small grain of sand. Amazing!
  4. founders of SYL, Aadan Cadde, C/rashiid Cali Sharmaarke, C/llaahi Ciise, C/qaadir Soobe, even Ismaaciil Jimcaale, Muuse Rabiile or even Maxamed Raajis, but surely not those you listed above. Well, my friend, Somaliland had its own freedom fighters... if you are saying they are of lesser status then your [southern] politicians... please come forward. ^^^one more reason why Somaliland wants to go on its own^^^
  5. Good stuff Mr. Nasir! Everything is just fine, but whats missing is a natural park... you know those botanic gardens with flowers, trees lake etc ... I think a suitable place for such a park would be A5 to A44, who would want to live next to the powerstation? Anyways, is this project linked to the White Sand Village (http://www.whitesandvillage.com) or it is a different one?
  6. Oodweyne, Did you just say that? lol What about if he does it in Somali? now that would be cool!
  7. I think the success or failure of the peace conference, Somaliland's recognition is overdue.
