www.harunyahya.com is the best site. Totti, I agree
  2. Mutakalim, are you in that category?lol Enslavement is not just a past issue. It is still happening mostly in third countries and even in India. OG-Girl, i don't like your say that "Blacks enslaving blacks". We were only involved in the trade and not the physical enslavement of blacks, which was an ugly history. Since some people are confusing the concept of slavery with the concept of race, particularly the black race. I will post relevant and crucial topic about the "Slave community", clearing the parochial knowledge of slave history.

    WHY?

There were so many prophets Allah sent to every society. Allah says, "Wama kuna mucadibiina xata nabcasa rasuula". This verse confirms that Allah neither punishes thine society unless He sends them a messenger or prophet. Therefore, Black propohets did exist in the world. According to our religion, there existed so many prophets that we numerically know but don't know their entire names or races. So who knows if there was Black prophet? The reason that Women predominate Men in Hell fire is the susceptibility of women to evil nature. Look at every magazine, women is used as display object , and most of them are content with it because being content with this sensuality status enhances the acceptance of women into mainstream society that value civilization and progress as this. I reckon these convictions are true but can be perceived as dangerous and unfair attributions towards women
  4. Actually, i need dhaqan celis. I don't really know much about the history and language dialect of my family. I need to go back Home and reestablish myself.
  5. On idea i like to infuse this great discussion is that plurastic society (Somali) that tend to keep their own customs face obstacles in their contact with the host country's customs and norms. To overcome such obstacles, therefore, first generation often neglect their own culture, customs by seeking integration and accepting the norms of the dominant society. However, the third generation, more secure in its socio-economic status and new identity becomes more interested to their ethnic heritage in the form of symbolic ethnicity. The three-generation hypothesis fits Somalis who emigrated to England and America in the early 20th century. This is clearly defined by Hanse's "Law of Return of Third Generation". I also agree with idea of Jamaal-11 who pointed the "depedency theory". The recent trend that Somalia is undergoing is the family's dependency on overseas resources sent by their own relatives, thus generating indolent work ethics and the lack of pursuit for economic independency. In fact, life without rule and government has lots of hardships, Somalis should still demonstrate affirmative need to work and care for their own families instead of the welfare from abroad.
  6. beautiful pictures. I have to ask my mother to take me there because she is from there.
  7. I suggest that you read very interesting African journal if you are interested in knowing the history and politics of NFD. "Somali Resistance to Colonial Rule and the Development of Somali Activity in Kenya 1893-1960" by E.R. Turton. NFD is coined by a man named Ahmed Dahir Lord who owned part of Eastleigh, Nairobi. Caaqil, I have come across that article before, very thorough detail of the plight of NFD. Thanks for posting it.
  8. I hope this cabinet receives plenary acknowledgment and public congruence. Recent News EU executive to fund Somalia reconstruction talks - Friday, December 03, 2004 at 10:58 NAIROBI, Dec 3 (Reuters) - The European Commission will spend 1.5 million euros ($2 million) on talks aimed at rebuilding Somalia, as the anarchic African nation prepares for the arrival of its new government, officials said on Friday. "In support of the outcome of the Somali Reconciliation Conference, the EC has decided to provide further support to an ongoing and extensive series of public consultations on issues essential to peace building and state reconstruction," the EU executive's delegation in Kenya said in a statement

  12. Originally posted by Nationalist: I agree with Nassir. There should be lessons learned from this drought as well as the rain floods for the Pland government. Las Qoray, wich is just a few miles from Bosaso is totally isolated due to the floods. And this is the case everywhere in Pland from Dhahar to Galkayo. Isn't Dhahar the town close to Qardho a few miles from the Garowe-Bosaso road? Thanks for the pictures Bari Nomad. Nationalist, Yes, I heard from BBC, the city stranded from the rest of Puntland due to the torrent of rain that flooded the whole and vicinities. We are not indeed advanced to implement such programs or bills, but surely non-profit organizations can be established for immediate responses to natural disasters. Dhahar

Gedi's director of communications, Hussein Jabiri, told IRIN that the full government would consist of 31 ministers, 31 vice-ministers and five state ministers. The rest of the cabinet along with the vice-ministers, he said, would be named "within a few days". "After long consultations with the various Somali parties, the prime minister has come up with a broad-based, all-inclusive cabinet," Jabiri said. All Somali factions, he added, were represented in the new cabinet, with some faction leaders being given important ministry positions.

Orgilaqe, Before you leap into a dangerous assumption, you should evaluate the exquisite summary of Somaliland history. Somaliland existed as seperate from the rest of Somalia, but that doesn't mean they were recognized as that particularly after their unification with the rest of Somalia. The existance of Somaliland came to an end when they had agreed to unite with Italian Somaliland to form Somali republic. What inspired me in this exquisite summary of Somaliland history is the domination of Mohammed Ibnu Abdule Hassan's struggle against the Emperialist. The document states that he "capriciously ruled" Somaliland for more than 20 years, which is quite inspiring.
  15. I will never build a house in Mogadisho or elswewhere in the south. Anywhere in Puntland suits my future plan to build a house.
  16. These last pictures appear to be very bleak after the damage of the rain. Importantly enough, the regional administration of Puntland should/should have set up 'Natural Disaster Prevention Bill' that could be used in such extreme floods and to assist the victims of the draught.

Reproduced by permission of John Murray (Publishers) Ltd. Appendix.htm Further Reading British Somaliland A protectorate on the Red Sea established in 1885 on land evacuated by the Egyptians. It was across the Gulf from Aden, which it long supplied with food. Until 1898 it was (like Aden) administered from India, then by the Foreign Office, with the Colonial Office in charge from 1905 until 1960, except during World War II. The people remained nomadic, though Berbera was developed as a port and capital. In 1899 much of the interior fell under the capricious rule of the fanatical Mohammed bin Abdulla Hassan (c. 1870-1920) and his dervishes. Six hard-fought campaigns over 21 years failed to break the power of the 'mad Mullah', who succumbed to influenza in November 1920 after being bombed by RAF biplanes and hounded by the Somaliland Camel Corps for nine months. The Italians occupied the Protectorate for eight months in 1940-1941. British control was finally relinquished on 1 July 1960 when the Protectorate joined the larger and more populous Trusteeship territory of Italian Somaliland, to form the independent Somali Republic. 18. I wonder why her uncle (Deputy minister) refused to speak out. What is wrong with this man?. He should really speak out and condemn the act at least. I hope the girl be granted asylum to a third country as well as remedial compensation for her grueling grievances.
  19. Originally posted by Yasmine: The plight of our sisters has far too often been met with general indifference. Why has Samsam been met with such deference? I have formulated my own answers but others might want to consider these questions. Yasmine, Please share with us the answers you formulated for this tragic incident. My answer to your question in brief, why Samsam's case was held in deference above other similar incidents that took place in Somalia? First, the Somaliland government prides itself for safeguarding the rights of its citizens and conferring those who maintain tranquility upon rewards because doing it will increase its chance of getting recognition. But what is more appalling is that the crime committed against the young, innocent Somali girl was perpetuated by high ranking officials who are trusted by the public to provide decent and impartial service. They betrayed the reputation and integrity of their nation. They also declined to divulge the case in its entirety, made arrangement for an uninterrupted incarceration for the victim, and even more worrisome allowed those malefactors to keep serving the public. Isn’t that too gruesome that haunts every person?
  20. Great news . Roads are just the beautiful part of any country. If your roads are paved and clear, it is a progress. Nationalist, I have never heard of local construction companies that paved roads in Boosaaso. Can you go into detail or bring some convincing support for your info. If that is true, why the city has too many dusty, gravelled streets?
  21. I was just wondering why the U.S dollar currency is losing its value. The president wants that in order American products be cheaper worldwide and to devalue the bond holders of foreign investors.
