Military build up continues between Maakhir and Puntland in Bosaaso after bloody fighting on last two days. Military tension is rising between newly formed state of Maakhir and the Puntland State in Eastern coastal city of Bosaaso, which is the commercial capital of Puntland. The tension started after Puntland militia attacked house in Bosaaso which some loyal Maakhirian were staying, that attacked led to bloody gun battle that lasted for two days in the Puntland militia used heavy artillery to destroy the building and finally succeeded to capture the armed men. According to reports in Garowe, the Puntland Authority refuses to release the men and branded them as terrorist, and member of Islamcic courts Union ICU militias, which many people in the region saw it as misleading information. That led to military build up in and around Bosaso as Maakhir Authority sent enforcement from Erigavo, Dhahar and Galgala, and the situation is getting very tense. Latest reports are indicating that the Maakhirian enforcement had indeed reached outskirt of Bosaaso and captured small town called Laag, just 20 KM off Bosaaso and they have refused to let in or out any vehicle from or to Bosaaso. According to some trusted reports from Dhahar is indicating that a meeting between the elders and Maakhir authority took place in which it has been discussed about the possible war with Puntland. This is first time such high tension rose between Maakhir State and Puntland since the declaration of Maakhir. Bosaaso is flash point as both authority lay claim on this booming town in Eastern Somalia and home for large Southern Somalis immigrant. The main culprit of the deteriorating security situation in Bosaaso is responsible by the incompetent Adde Muse, president of Puntland who ordered the arrest of prominent Businessman from Maakhir in Bosaaso.
