  1. Saxiibkaa waxaad ku tidhaahda, grow up and take responsibility, dhaandhaanyahow! I treat my kids well, but not my wives hadal lala soo shir tago maahee.
  2. That must feel good Juxa - enjoy the exam-free time . I woke up super excited this morning, dont know why (Ok, I know, I booked and sorted my last-min holiday in my head overnight . Now I just need the cosmos to cooperate with me while I book it in reality). Sida kale - sidee la yahay halkan?
  3. North - Atlanta.. dont know a living soul (and not to sound racist or anything, but its a little too madow for my taste). Next? LOL@Honda, Toyota and Nissan .
  4. I think I've figured why my mood has been taking a plunge, esp the last hour - notifications I'm getting about the game.. Japan has always been a pathetic team, lost most of their qualifying games and only made it past round 1 once in history! This is sad! So disappointed in the indomitable lions
  5. Maybe I'm not clear (not sure why you're suggesting Europe or inside NY @ NG + Juxa). I basically want to know where I can go NEAR NY, at most 2-4hrs flight and your case for why this place as opposed to another . MN sounds nice, just because there are so many Somalis and qaraabo lagama waayayo. Ibts - what are you doing later on? Waxaad u baahantahay in madaxa laguu salaaxo.
  6. NG - ideas man, ideas!! I need to book this week!
  7. I want ideas about where to go...? Where are the Americans - Seeker, Che?
  8. Hi Folks - hope you can help me. I'm just feeling so pissed off with the world (colleagues to be precise) today I dont feel inspired. I've been asked to be in NY again in a couple of weeks for shaqo. I've already booked 5 days off prior to the monday I need to start that piece of work. So should I, 1. Fly early and enjoy more of NY. 2. Fly somewhere else first and then get to NY for the Monday and enjoy NY during the week and possibly the weekend after. I like (2) but I dont know where I want to see.. Toronto sounds attractive but been there and I would like to add new cities and sights to my travel resume. MN...?
  9. This thread cannot die without some well deserved Robert Greene jokes! * You have to hand it to Robert Green... well he can't catch it can he* * If only John Terry had lived next door to Robert Green's missus... * Why is Robert Green like ITV HD? They both switch off at the crucial moment. * What does Robert Green do after winning the World Cup? Drops his controller. * At least that's one British spillage the Americans won't be moaning about... * What's the difference between Robert Green and Justin Bieber? Robert Green knows how to drop his balls. * Kermit was right: It's not easy being Green. * All these Rob Green jokes are getting out of hand. In fact they're crossing the line... * The England lads had a get-together after the game and bought Robert Green a drink to commiserate. He spilled it. * Steven Gerrard said: "The whole team is behind Rob Green." With hindsight, that's a good place to stand. * Robert Green's bringing out his own South African trumpet. It's known as a boo-boozela * Robert Green - a joke even Americans can understand. * Yesterday at London Zoo one of the staff let a a Central American monkey slip out of his grasp. So Robert Green's not the only English keeper to drop a Howler. * My computer's got the Robert Green virus. It can't save anything. * Just bought a Robert Green condom. Extra slippery and you're guaranteed not to catch anything. * Rob Green has injured himself. Apparently, he put his head in his hands and immediately kneed himself in the face. * What's the difference between a botanist with the flu and the England goalkeeper? One has Green fingers and can catch a cold... * Before he got into football, Robert Green was a bus driver. But he got fired because he couldn't make any stops. And the best England v USA joke which doesn't feature Robert Green is.. . * It was a clever move to bring Shaun Wright-Phillips on. For 15 minutes the Americans were stunned, thinking Gary Coleman had come back to life. ** source = daily mirror.
  10. I dont know him - but Google does. However, I would probably have got acquainted with him in a couple of hours
  11. NG - Did my comments from the other night hurt your feelings? (re: Carl Lewis treadmill) . Whats your problem anyway? Maxaad noo patronize gareynasa? North, I've passed that baton to Miss Ibtisam. She is the troll queen these days. So guys - who are your top 5 teams that you SUPPORT. Mind you, there is a different between the teams you support and the teams you think will win.
  12. Seeker - that offer was wishful thinking. I'm glad you didnt take me up on it . But hey - think I'm gonna enjoy watching it from here with some serious fans too! So enjoy!
  13. Have people taken the day off to watch the footie? It didnt occur to me, so was feeling kinda bummed since yesterday. I got in this morning and saw a meeting invite from our manager (who is from SA) for an extended 'team' lunch in a restaurant with a huge screen . Re-arranged everything else for the rest of the day. Sweet! Here we go! Ale ale ale! Go go go!
  14. Love this section! Its like the next day news/gossip column of last nights's events! As the person who collected Sayid's money, I can say that he paid the MOST for his ticket. So I think you should take him to the top of the list Ibts. In the midst of trying on my jacket and fiddling with my other goodies, Deleted took the money bag from me without me taking note of it in my mind. Later on Fahad asked where the money bag was, and I literally had a few mins of a panic attack and even looked around for it for a while before realising I might have given it to someone. Other than those 5mins, everything else was good!
  15. A couple of months ago, Mossad agents murdered a Hamas leader in the middle of a Dubai hotel... does anyone remember? What happened to the investigations? Did the threats of bringing those who did it to justice materialize? I havent heard or seen a peep since. I'm almost sure, just like that incident, and the one a year ago where Israel carpet bombed Gaza civilians for some rag-tag rockets fired at its borders and many other disproportionate aggressions against the Palestinians, this too will turn into a distant and vague memory in due course and Israel will get bolder and more aggressive in its pursuit of the land and any threats to its existence. Ilaahay ha u sahlo ummada Gaza!
  16. Not to make light of a serious issue, but read these priceless comments on the Flotilla situation and wanted to share: 'I see Tony Blair has added the weight of his opinion to this affair. 'This isn't a very good situation" he thundered today. Showing once again his priceless value to civilization.' - some dude in the Guardian 'I threw my socks at the TV when the Netanyahu press conference was broadcast. I fully expect and deserve the ensuing helicopter gunship assault for my act of aggression.' some dude in the Guardian 'Even the Somali pirates think what happened to Flotilla is a bit harsh' - no idea where I read this, but made me laugh. '"We're not saying that the Gaza shore is a closed military area, we're just saying that, if you do come, we will shoot you" - on twitter
  17. ^ Will you two stop trolling everywhere? SubxanAllah. The event sounds like a fab idea and having been to Sucad's last two events, I can guarantee everyone that its going to be classy and a good evening out - so go people! Ibs, do you know what the capacity of the place is? I dont know if I can or cannot make it yet, its probably a call I can make on the Thursday/Friday before the event and I dont want to be left out if it turns out I can make it.
  18. NG - ^ that is sick! Juxa - Salaams . I'm just doing office work, office hours, just at home. North - as long as you give 24/48hr notice, you can work from home. I did mine this morning and asked the PMO to pretend I sent it on Friday for the good of the greater audience . Talking about shaqo, from a shaqo laptop and through a shaqo connection is so tactless. So no more shaqo talk from me.
  19. North, what with the ambiguous rules in Dubai horta - arresting people for sneaky snogs, yet nearly naked tourists everywhere.
  20. Lately I'm definitely suffering from a serious bout of the monday blues, I've worked from home every monday for the last 3 mondays. I just cannot face the stress of it all after the weekend. I dont think the 'monday blues' is recognized as an ailment, but I'm a living proof it exists. I simply dont sleep well at all on a sunday, knowing all the stuff and deadlines to be met during the week. Then I hide from it all on a monday, reach the point of not caring that much by the end of monday and go into the office on tuesday just ok! Anyway - this means I can troll for a little bit today. Maxaa cusub peeps?
  21. This is a slippery slope... ... muu tukan .... diintuu wax ka sheegeyka soo horjeedeybidcuu practice'gareen jirey ...... tfg lackey (and being likened to a hypocrite) buu aha ........ blah blah!
  22. There is no pleasing the English- last time they got the ashes they were over the moon! Volcanoes in Iceland? What next? Earthquakes in Asda? Went outside today & got hit by frozen sausages, a chocolate gateau & some fish fingers. Must be fallout from Iceland! Iceland: First declared itself bankrupt. Then set the island on fire. Anyone else smell the mother of all insurance frauds? “Experts have warned that it could take years of work by experienced professionals to clean up after the volcano. That’s why Mum’s gone to Iceland.” FA cup final prediction: Ash-ley Coal scores the winner against Pompeii. UK flights grounded for second day. Must’ve had strict parents!
