The purpose of the meeting was to build a relationship between Putland State of Somalia and the City of Minneapolis Minnesota. Mayor Ryback welcomed the Ministers and expressed the importance of the Somali Community to the City of Minneapolis. Approximately 70,000 Somalis live in Minnesota and the majority of them live in Minneapolis. The local Somali Community played a large role in the campaign and election of R.T Ryback . Mayor Ryback is an advocate for the local Somali Community promoting jobs, housing, health and education for Somalis. At today’s meeting, the mayor explained some of the educational programs that have been developed to train Somalis to be future leaders. In fact, a Somali student intern in the program is working with the mayor and attended this meeting. I suggest that the TFG work to liberate the Lower Shabbele and bringing it back to the Somali people from the IndaCade,Xasan Dahir gang. There should also be a move on Galgaduud, specialy Gurceel and Dhusa Mareb, securing it from Xasan Dahir and his group.. It is only a suggestion but once these two areas are cleared these clan curts will come to the negotiating table..Without any of the hubris they have come out with lately. YO-YO. No one disputes THAT the Puntland admin is a corrupt entity, even unpopular. Yet the moment a war with these courts it will make e rally around Cade. This is the point these courts do not understand, Puntland population know who they are up against and who Xasan Dahir is, he is not a man interested in their affairs. Galkacyu belongs is a Somali city, the people there live in peace, if these courts want to rule couthern Galkacyu so be it, but Puntland will not tolerate a hostile army in its door step. The tragic thing here is that some actually belive these men are representing Islamic values. Ok why not remove the occupation in the south? Is this not a real priority or is Saber rattling with the old clan enemy take precedent over giving justice to MUSLIM population of the south. If they were about religion they would have have moved to Balinbale and not Cadaado, Galinsoor and so on.
