TFG troops are made up of clans mainly from Puntland, Bay and Bakool, Hiiraan and southern Mudug, Gedo ad Juba's. Apart from Somaliland most regions have members in the TFG armed forces and police. Everyone can join, since the aim is to create a national army, I would have liked more emphasis on the unarmed clans the Jareerweyn, May and those from Lower Juba and Shabbele. I gave you a rough estimate of their number and size, they also have a number of technicals and Tanks. You are right when you pointed out that some clans would not readily join for example the clan courts have tried to keep many of their kisnmen from joining the TFG and helped defectors. The hostility of the former warlords and courts has created a wedge between this clan and the TFG, as they see themselves as the rightful rulers of modern Somalia. The problem is that the TFG had to create this entity from scratch and tried to pursuade warlords, armed clans and others to join. Also they did not have money to get more recruits.

^^^Thats why Puntland will outlast the courts, it was built on consensus and not on war. I will say this again as I have before. If legitimacy comes through power then its ok. When Yusuf was elected everybody thought he would fight, he did not, now everybody thinks he cannot fight, which he can. The Somali media and pundits have been driven by events, the warlords were all powrful yesterday, today its the courts, tommorrow the TFG.

Also when they attack Baidoa they will attack Puntland which has a few other thousand fighters not involved yet. Why are they not making any move, out of fear? If the courts had defeated the TFG in Bur-Hakabo, everything would be different, but this is not the case. Thousands of fighters are lined up quite near Burhakabo. The courts need to bring their 100 technicals closer to Bur-Hakabo, forget the locals Cayrow, IndaCade and Macalin Xashi are the ones needed closer to Baidoa.

^^^So now Ethiopia gets and has no fuel to offer because its land locked? The Ethiopia of 70 million has no fuel supplies, right? Thus it gets its supplies from Mogadishu. There are many options my dear friend. One is the state of Ethiopia proper. If that does not make you happy then. What about through Puntland, Bossaso via Ethiopia, ever thought of that. ^^^This is by far the funniest article. Did the TFG troops relly on Mogadishu for wepon and fuel supply? How is the fuel from Ethiopia curtailed since Ethiopian troops can come and go as they please? Look the courts wont attack Baidoa as Xasan Dahir said, but the TFG will attack sooner than you think.

Abdullahi for two years has been building up his troops, he has watched his enemies finish each other of. His relationship wih Tigray Ethiopia is also different in nature to the ones the warlords had with any outside power. Now I belive that the clan courts need to be nullified. Saxib, the courts were the enemies of the TFG from dayone, Xasan Dahir was the same as Yalaxow, he had roadblocks and he opposed the government. You know Abdullahi Yusuf has an army, he has at least thousands of soldiers just from his own clan. The old man has been given a single target to aim for, the support of the international community and of course 100% of the Tigray Junta., who fear Oromo's and Eritrians enough to do anything to stop them.
