I'm suprised that more people aren't following its fortunes. Although the group don't seem to be as media friendly or as visible as they once were, i can assure you that their efforts have not waned. Since NG and I have more or less arrived at an unpassable juncture, i would love to hear what other people think of the Alliance - critical or otherwise. What I think of the Alliance, without going into great details this Arabic proverb comes to mind: "Four things never come back --- the spoken word, the sped arrow, the past life, and the neglected opportunity." The alliance -which itself is split, and incoherent....... but nonetheless lets call it a an alliance for argument sake, the alliance neglected their golden opportunity, when they were the main power holders for those six months over the entire south and because lack of strategy, leadership, and political/financial international backing/maneuvering.....just screwed up! Opportunity comes once in a life time as it was said once before....marka do not miss ur chance to BLOW!. They blew it, they won't get that same chance again and its too late in my opinion which leads me into another proverb by the Japanese very wise people: "When you are thirsty, it is too late to think about digging a well. " I'll let you dwell on those wise sayings. ---------------------------------- With that said, In your next post before u decide to lecture about liberation/revolution, your argument would be a lot more convincing if you can put forth a sucessful strategy and how it is being utilized by the alliance today, I am supposing here since you employ the use of the terminology such as liberation/revolution you understand the basic components required for such a task.
  6. ^^Nope just shows this section is dominated by the P and S landers........or they just are the loudest.
  7. tsk tsk tsk......they are having big party in twin cities cawa......i wonder how many iisslaamo are infront of his hotel yelling waryaa ina xuubsired.......and singing their little buranbur tsk tsk...koley i heard many of my eddos are there ...crazy stuff.......enjoy it adeer!

You shouldn't have sxb, particular this following point, since you believe the allience will deliver the nation, u should address this point made by NG. It's not about naming individuals, my friend. Don't go chasing red herrings there. It's about the calibre of people making up that Alliance. Again, I'll just mention Aideed! Will you try to argue now that he's seriously against the occupation rather than against those that lost him his TFG job? Is the man that presided over the actual occupation going to be the same man to end it? Adeer wax macqool ku hadal. Psssst: I predict that Aideed will switch sides again and again. But unlike you and your dreams for the Alliance, my prediction is based on the man's (or cats making up the alliance ) personality and past deeds. It is NOT what I want or wish, it's a guess made in accordance with the various variables available to me at this moment in time. NG said: This brings me back to your question. What should Somali people do? I hope by now you know what the answer is. I am afriad neither Geel, you, nor I know the answer to this, and if we do come up with the answer to this question then it will be our dreams, hopes, and our wishes. Great discussion sxbyal enjoyed reading it.
  9. looooool@ Aaliyah...ka bax! wa iga qosleeysey.... lakiin walaaleey daadkaan hadal ba ka buuxa...ma ka hadal badankartiid...they are on the same subject and nac nac for mths on end and no results or benefit....marka iisha ka eeg and iskaga dax baax. ........somalia wixi ruun Allah Oog and what happens is not in our control, marka we pray inshallah Allah Most High Khayr ha ka diigo. peace out! salaamun
  10. ^^^Amiin...Allah janahda ha siiyo.......sxb Horn how come there are no quotes of the President? No pictures of him with the first lady, children ect? I found two quotes Wikipedia page dats it......anywhere i can find his quotes? Wheres David?
  11. President Siyaad Barre (AUN) was no clanist bigot but a wadaani....if he was a clanist he would’ve built and put the states resources on building Abuwaak, Gedo/Galgudud or even Bososo, but nah he built Mogdisho the capital of Somalia and Hergaysa the second capital, in turn Xamar became the envy of Africa, pictures and videos are proof on youtube and elsewhere. Sure sure, I know the other side of the argument afterall this was socialist dictatorship......., but also keep in mind the atrocious crimes that occurred were doing of other cats for example in Mudag,....da dude I don’t know his name but he was from hergaysa.....and ie Morgan in the north. i got cha he shouldve stepped down, especially after his accident!.........my boy *me* put it best when he said, Said Barre was a doctor at the mad house and when the doctor left the house well we all know the result....the man kept all that and crazy ppl in check. mida kale how many Somalis consider Sayidka and darwish as heros and praise them? statues dedicated to sayidka right? Ummm how much innocent somali blood did they spill? They didnt even spare preganant women.......A lot more blood then Siyad Barre could ever do! but they are heros iga dheh aint mad cha but give where credit is due Siad Barre as me* said was the doctor at a mad house...... and somalia hasn't found another like him since.............and last petty clan militias (SSDF, SNM, USC) who were bent on themselves clan power/pride and influence........or the tribal enclaves like somaliland/Puntland/Xland/Yland/Zland u get the point.........can never match the greatness of the somali state when it was under Jalle Comarad, Commander and Chief President of Somalia: Said Barre (AUN). So shut up and watch this great video in SILENCE: Somali Army
  12. ^^The "boqors" at Saudiya who set every policy and control the religious establishment in the Kingdom have everything to do with the discussion and just look at Khayr's comments....the masjids sxb that caused the qilaaaf were fill in the blank. Two: every community should have an amir and be united under the amir, so this qilaafs are not secondary issues but harmful and need to be fixed. Khayr, i have always considered myself Muslim no other name tag. Your comment reminds me, of brother couple weeks ago who asked me to burn stuff for him...the material he wanted me to burn was from a holy sheikh...it was my sincere opinon that he was giving too much power to this sheikh after considering his views....the brother a "sufi" got mad u wahaabi....cajiib....Quran calls us MUSLIMS....
  13. Bilal my good brother, inshallah that may happen maybe in next hundred years. On a serious note we alreadly are a stateless ppl sxb, somalia state la'aan waxba ma dhaanto its a garbage country....i have always said and will say it again no somali is happy with the status quo and these tribal conflicts....they are stuck in ganglands sxb and they need freedom from it. We all know that or at least should know that....but where are the ppl to free somalia is the million doller question.
  14. Paragon and Che, i agree sxbyall on Yeey and corruption of Cade......but disagree with the rest, be assured puntland has more then the capability of men and money to defend itself in this case and it will. But as ive said earlier, SL wouldn’t dared to make this bold move into LA but they saw an opportunity provided by some hungriyal in LA and they took it. The problem started because some in Lascanood, felt left out from their fair share and discriminated against from Garowe, and thus allied themselves with SL...SL provided the chetta....and wants to use these cats to gain independence.... Paragon, what i don't want to see is: reer LaasCaano inn laka la gaato as is the case, u feel me? They should know where their loyalty is at....SL is about securing indpendence and i respect that, but what benefit is it for those from LA that ally with SL, even if they feel cheated at Garowe and the corruption of Cadde? The case in the North is completly different from the tribal conflicts in other areas of somalia, because if SOOL and Sanaag is secured, independence will be secured so it is said. Edit: Xiin i completly missed your important post,as always well said adeer. Its unfrounate, but my attitude has always been and will always be, what happens is Gods Will.
  15. Bilal u said: Khalaf - SOL members may not be policy makers but they are Somalis. Its not my intention to raise their ego. I abhor any Somali, at this critical stage of our history, who blindly follows the line of his/her tribe. I'm simply trying to awaken them to their illogical stance at this grave hour. Sxbow talk is cheap they say....marka warkaa badan aaan iska daafno. Either give ppl a better alternative they can follow, or let them be as they are. ps: This nonsense in somalia sooner or later will come to an end...if they want they can continue wars and conflicts for another 30 years, let them be or give a working alternative.
  16. Paragonow: I said earlier and ill say it again, i respect SL, why? cause they are united in independence all of em....agree with it or be against it. This is what they want, and to get recgoniation SOOL and Sanaag is needed. Speaking in somali context: SOOL and Sanaag historically as Hergaysa iyo Burco historically in the somali context belong to certain clans...ie SOOL=Darwish. i don't mean to sound offensive to my couzos lakiin maxa jira?....what is this talk about salaries....u need ina Yey, or the fat cat in Garoowe Muusa to pay you for you to defend your historic town of Laascaanod. war naga taaga.
  17. Originally posted by Paragon: I will tell you one thing guys. Both sides face two limitations. Puntland faces limitations of fighting men and Somaliland of arms -if it were to engage in a long protracted war. This current tension is not destined to be long. Puntland has more then enough troops sxb. How many men and technicals are just in Buhoodle for example that didn't enter yesterday's conflict? SL took advantage of the situation, and hired some jiri cats.....besides it was smart move to pull out and not fight....the city destruction and deaths is somthing important to Puntland....but not SL it has nothing to lose here....Puntland has to play smart and play its cards right.
  18. Bilal i agree with essence of the rest of your message, but this: Originally posted by BiLaaL: So, yes - the words of this Minister are truly despicable but how is he different from the many SOL members who've been anticipating this conflict for weeks with an almost deafening chorus. [/QB] Sxb u can't be serious? You are giving too much credit and influence to SOL members, they are not policy makers or party/entity speakers, this is a "minster" sxb not at the caliber of some cat with a pc and clanish fervor. ps: these tribal enclaves which are a present to the enemies of somalia, will continue to exist until somalia gets a strong government with honest leadership. NG said: ps We await the reply of the 'Minster' of information of Puntland. I dare wager that he'll come up with even worse words than the foolish Somaliland one. wa shaash.
  19. ^^^Your beating a dead horse. No point in preaching to the converted....I say let the guns blaze, or they the parties involved will eventually listen to their ethios or American masters. Wixi dintanah its Gods Will. Fatah@ or the educated young men who hail this as a success from their pcs in the west. tsk tsk tsk, sxbow i believe Ayub and Odeywayne are in their late 30s, maybe odeywayne is in his 40s.......LA Liberated kulaha....ya is gareey....see this is the problem when ppl post under the influence of the green stuff.
  20. Come on sxbyall, lets give SL big props bravo SL, clap clap.....at least in somali clanish context this is a victory enjoy it tsk tsk tsk......Call them stubborn, a cult or what have you, but they are a ppl united on one goal: independence. And that ladies and gentlemen deserves respect, hate it or love it. And it is your kinsmen tonight, in your own legendary and historically town of LasCanod because due to cuqdaad and hungri, that have become the hired guns to spill the blood of their own kinsmen. Two i am not the best man when it comes to somali politics and history, nor interested in these clannish tug of wars because I know the bigger picture, but what is clear at least if territory is gained back and it will, but what is clear is that LasCanod has been historically known to be a Darwish state, that symbolism at least is not the case anymore and this has been in the making. Lascanod the kismaayo in the North? Hmmmm? ps: Xiin of course adeer ethiopia is involved big time rumor is they are camped in the Hawd...all these qaat chewing, beer drinking militas and so called leaders cadde muse, rayelle, xabsade..work for the ethios, and fill up their pockets....its unfortunate ppl have to die in the process, whats even more unfortunate is the caqlixumoda of those who who cheer for blood shed in peaceful areas of somalia, and worse think it will accomplish them their fantasy goal... but this is their Intellect can't blame em its Gods Will...lakiin yaa is gareey.
  21. Originally posted by Northerner: ^^Lets not make this another bash Saudiya thread please. The king doesnt determine when Eid is celebrated saxib. Sxb I didn’t bash Saudiya, I spoke the truth about the so called “boqors” that run that country. You know what’s up ninyahow marka ha is iindho tiriin. One I am not coming from a nationalist perspective, and two I don’t see the relevance of your unity argument, infact its counterproductive to unity. This is what it boils down to, does the Muslim ummah have an amir, is there an islamic state, with one leadership to oversee the affairs of the ummah? The answer is a fat no. Therefore what is the best solution for unity in our communities? We know from the Sunnah of the nabi scw: that one, if there are 3 ppl, they should select an amir and two: individuals should stick to their local jama’at and their amir. The Muslim community in United states, or a particular state should unite under one amir, there is no reason for 3 masjids in a small town to celebrate eid on different days, this happens only because those who followed a community thousands of miles away, those who celebrated friday followed Suadiya, and they caused the qilaaf within the local community. And last the Hadith at the end of the day says: if u don’t see the moon then finish 30 days, the lunar moon is not gonna be the same for the entire world, see it celebrate, ur local community don't see it finish 30 days, this is what it says, it doesn’t say follow Saudi Arabia. We agree to disagree on this one. And Allah knows Best. Originally posted by Ms Dhucdhuc & Dheylo: If the prophet (saw) was alive today, he obviously would have sighted the moon wherever he was. Would the muslims in the UK have waited to see the moon themselves or would they have followed the prophet (saw)? I know he (saw) isnt alive therefore it is a moot point, but living in the west, sometimes moonsighting proves to be difficult cos of the weather. If this was the case, then nabi scw would be our amir, the leader of the entire ummah. But since this is not the case and we have no amir as an ummah, every muslim should stick to the main body of muslims within their local jama’at.
  22. ^^^^^ Makka is more than just the place we face for salaat. It is the focal point of Islam, the birth place of Islam and should be used as such to determine Ramadan/Eid dates. This is the view of most Islamic countries but some have always tended to be different. Did UAE site the moon, or just follow mecca? Determining beginning and ending of Ramadan rests on moon-siting not following mecca. We know the Hadith and Sunnah of Nabi scw, start Ramadan with seeing of the moon and end it with seeing the moon, but if no moon is sited then complete 30 days of sha’ban. Where does it say follow mecca? Site the moon, if not complete the 30 days of sha’ban full stop and thats what we did. Saudi arabiya is suadia arabiya, arab world is arab world, different parts of the world no?. I understand the need for unity, but there is no islamic state there is no khalifah, so as muslims shouldn’t we stick to the Jama'at of our local muslim community instead of a community thousands of miles away? Two: today, Mecca the holy lands of islam is controlled by a corrupt ruler a tyrant, you know the fear of scholars and students of knowledge of Abdullah, what he says go if he said celebrate friday its friday, if he declares saturday its saturday don't u think? Sxb he is “lord” not Allah Most High in the Kingdom. The ummah can not and will not have any unity sxb with leadership such as this, therefore its best muslims should stick to their communities, be united in their own local communities, American muslim community will be different then Saudi muslim community, and those who follow community thousands miles away will cause spilt in the the local jama'at. Those who are celebrating a day late, what are they going to do when it comes to the day of Arafat in 70 days time? Are they going to fast/celebrate/make their sacrifice/perform hajj a day later? Great question. But this depends on waqtii (time), not the moon. Therefore everybody eids on same day here. There is the difference between this and ending of ramadan which depends on seeing on moon, if moon is not seen then finish 30 days. And Allah knows best.
  23. ^^thnks sxb...and i know....i ask questions sometimes that i alreadly know the answer to....to see answers of others who maybe more articulate then me to forumalte responses to the questions by non-muslims. The article didn't answer: Would this not be forcing a religious code on others who don't follow or believe in the doctrine of the said religion, thus defeats the meaning of freedom? Ie: A non-muslim women (minority in a muslim majority country) doesn't want to wear hijab, would she have this freedom in an islamic state? As muslim women have freedom to wear hijab in united states a non-muslim country for example? Fair question, i believe.
  24. May Allah reward u Aaliyah for ur efforts. jazakallahu khayr sister and amiin....what u said is similar to what the the imam said today at kutaba......May Allah accept our good deeds.
