His close relatives say his actual birth place is Gabiley, Somaliland while his fake birth place is Mogadishu, Somalia.
-
No mention of Somalia interesting. "Me and Hassan in front of the flag of Somaliland, the country of our birth".
-
Hawdian You created this topic to discuss the reality back home, so no time for sugarcoating. Sometimes when I see videos of Mogadishu it is just looks like somewhere in the Congo rainforest. Shifting demographics in favor of non ethnic Somalis should be addressed as well, no?
-
In Somaliland yes. Not sure about south Somalia though because of Al shabab radicalization and Turkish colonization along with Uganda and Burundi, the situation of the Somali language might be very different there.
-
Somali language should be promoted more unless one wants to end up like Djibooty. When I went there and saw all those French signs everywhere and Arabic and no single Somali language at all I thought it is still under colonization.
-
Why are people getting outraged from the truth. I am just showing the potential Somaliland has without the dead weight (South Somalia).. or shall I say dead corpse. Pseudo nationalists should digest this, you're no use to us but a liability.
-
She deserved it Lol. Well played Vitaly.
-
I think the appropriate question should be should 21 October be made a national holiday in south Somalia? because it seems that is the only place he is glorified south Somalia meaning anything south of Galkayo.
-
Yh they are brave women but if ONLF makes peace with Ethiopia and accepts to be part of Ethiopia all that past struggle will be futile.

$116,300 raised in one week? Not bad.

You have seen it somewhere before miya?

Thousands of your kins support him in Ethiopia, even when Melez died and Iley was saying dhamaan Meles baanu nahay thousands of your kinds were clapping for him. So never again speak about inferiority, lets not even forget building a monument for the man who massacred thousands of the Ocaden people, building a gold monument for him in Jigjiga. Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. I don't have to improve my superiority to anyone, many Somalians trying to mimic Somaliland in democracy, peace and other fields is enough . Mad_Mullah;982027 wrote: inferior This here is the right definition of inferiority. You're bound to serve Ethiopian/Kenyan overlords whether it is in the Ocaden desert Ethiopia or Kenya.

Why does it matter what some obscure person might have said when there are many other reliable sources? Do you think we will fall in line and cry for the deceased papa Melez (like Iley your cousin) did Lol. You're a joke. Somaliland does not need a validating from outsiders, its superiority over many others Somalis is already in display. The most peaceful, the most democratic , the most richest(judging by state revenue) Somali state when you exclude the half Anfar Djibouti. That is why Somalia states including this Puntland you are trying to advertise like to mimic Somaliland.

Politics is the main one but there is other grievances. That is true but it shouldn't be confused with a group of people being happy to be under another state. One good example is Kismaayo where such disputes resulted in the deaths of hundreds few months ago. Whether they consider themselves as part of Somalia or not, Somalia is a failed state for the past 22 years.
-
Nope. In the case of the Khaatumo the problem is not only politics but geographic, land issues, grievances, identity crisis. Many of them don't consider themselves Somalilanders. Likewise many people I have come across from the west Puntland state don't consider themselves as mainland Puntlanders, that is why they don't adhere to the one sub clan Puntland Faroole project, neither do they take sides between Khaatumo, Jubbaland issues. Somaliland is a nation to those who adhere to it.
-
For one we are not talking about this secession you seem to have nightmares about.
-
That is not the definition we are talking about here smart a** .
-
Mad Mullah What is this nonsense? There is dozens of historical sources out there talking about SNM superiority over some other Somalians. You as a Ethiopian who is under the Tigray regime should know better.
-
Says the terrorist who takes the orders from his Afghan daddies. Know your place kid. You can't be screaming in one hand Khaatumo people are not Somalilanders on the other hand trying to force other people on Puntland identity.
-
Terrorist boy I didn't define them, they defined themselves. Who am I to object if they consider themselves different state than mainland Puntland. Like I said don't speak of things you have no knowledge of terrorist boy. West puntland State xaflad http://www.somaliaonline.com/community/showthread.php/62139-West-puntland-State-xaflad

Well Hawdian you have to understand southerners love to drift from the topic, since they are not inventors and their home towns are guarded by foreigners in 2013. So in their situation the best way is to try and drift from the topic.

Yes tax was determined by wealth, that is why Somalilanders had the means to pay higher tax than the natives thus they were on bar with the Asians and Arabs in Kenya. Even to this day most of the richest Somalis in Kenya and Uganda are Somalilanders. Somalilanders have established a reputation of fair business across those countries including Tanzania. What do southerners do? They come to land with terrorism and a lot of refugee package . They destroyed the reputation Somalis had in some of those countries.
-
It is mostly Somalilanders that paid those tax to show their superiority and they were never to be classed as the same as the Kenyan natives. The colonials agreed. The Somaliland soldiers were given their own neighborhoods in Eastleight, the Eastleight neighborhood and Isiolo town originally housed Somaliland soldiers before all those reer badiye came to Nairobi.
