  1. Ever since this new president has been elected this site has been bombarded with names of obsecure places like Kismaayo, Ximan and xabab and that other place they're having fights with! War what's wrong with our usual diet of SL, PL and Xamar? Why bore us with stories of tiny town that are neither here nor there when all is daid and done? Naga daaya.

Don't demonize them if you ain't side by side distributing food and aid to the misplaced. I know they ain't perfect but they do the part you and I failed to do. I think someone that spent their time in the country has a better knowledge and more experience than those in the diaspora. He has no business calling the president or PM names if all he does is sit around in his safe and secure apartment fifteen thousand miles away. It was a fair crack though. The president took his time choosing his PM and this furstrated Somalis who usually want to hear today's news YESTERDAY. AA, used the information at his disposal to make fun of the situation. After all, there has always been a running joke about NGOs being a bit slow with decision making and stuff. Won't take away from the president in the long term (unless he messes up).
  3. ^^ That's because it was closed. (as Jb to take a picture).
  4. ^^ Marka miyaay tukanayaan mise dadka safka ku xiga ayaay rukooca ku badinayaan? (film hindi).
  5. ^^ Tolkaaga dee waa uuf; in ay go'aan ayaay rabaan. Adigu mabda leh, maxa "Somalidiid" ku dhix dhigay. Wax fahan. On the other hand, so soco si soco seems to only apply to those that join or leave SL, not the ones that used to sing the praises of PL not so long ago. Kuwa, like you Carafaat, have a "mabda". Naga daaya dee.

(an actual keyhole like on normal doors). As for the topic, can't say I've given it much thought and I find the fact that there is an actual academic who concerns himself with lifts amusing.
  7. ^^ I wasn't looking at the suit, I was looking at his face.
  8. ^^ Didn't really lose much though, did he? (did YOU put on that much weight since April warya?).
  9. ^^ Nothing but a pleasent tube journey to work. Simple things like that usually cheer me up.
  10. Salaam all. What's new this fine morning?
  11. ^^ I already have one of those.
  12. ^^ SOL will be dull if we agreed on everything, saaxib. I look forward to it. Norf, Theiry is confusing me with his namesake in America. Waxa la yedhi ever since he moved to the MLS, he stopped scoring; birto la dhaca uun.

  15. ^^ Didn't know the two sides had armies, Xaaji. Was it a five-a-side sort of thing?
  16. Ibti, lets take advantage of that SL business fund thing and apply to start a hot air balloon business between Hargeisa and Burco. Since you're this brave, you can be the pilot.
  17. ^^ Because we discussed it at length. Ibti, you shouldn't drive on that crazy road. It's one reason I wasn't too bothered about going to that city.
  18. ^^ You have too many homes warya. Is it the steel city, the carab city or Burco? Juxa, hurdu la aan ma jirto. I've got a thinker on my hands. Heh.
  19. Salaam Juxa & Paragon. I turst you're both having a glorious morning.
  20. Che, That goes without saying but he hit the jackpot with this quintessential waterhole dispute.
  21. ^^ Nope. He's a good boy who hardly cries. Thank you both (and any that may come later).
  22. ^^ So far I have counted Xiin, Abtigiis and Gabbal as being members of the "WE" collective. I assume they are a collective because they always share their opinions with the words "We approve", "We reject" or "We are not sure", etc.
  23. Started slowly but it was worth the read. Though the idea that Mooge can beat two men without the use of his tongue or keyboard is a tad farfetched. :D
  24. Heh@shop called Same Same (not the best advert in the world).
