^^ Xaaji Castro aaye aya cunay.

^^ I'm not assuming anything here. The whole point of the show was really done in London when the reporter spoke with the Minster for Africa. Such an argument would not apply to Al-Shabab or their supporters.
-
^^ Not biased at all. The premise of the documentary was about 'bad people' that hail from the UK. It was not about the totality of the Somali conflict. Ayoub, But I do, I do.
-
^^ Heh. Nothing civil about my disappointment, mate.

Originally posted by Baashi: ^^Drop it bro. Your objections against this beat is outside the comfort zone of consensus thinking. This joint is practicing groupthink to the teeth. You are swimming upstream buddy. I watched the beat last night. It was riddled with inconsistencies, innuendos, and half-truths. Beacuse of the tragedy he exposed and the unpopularity of TFG entity, the fact that the reporting was done poorly and the reporter didn't prove the alleged crimes committed by the individuals he targeted was overlooked in the thread. There are also those who have political affiliations with TFG nemessis. The former Interior Minster was trying to argue that he blocked Aid because the food may be past its sell by date! The Chief of Police reminisced about his former job with Honda and the 'substantial' salary he used to receive. He blamed any wrongdoing on those that buy uniforms from nearby shops and pretend to be policemen! The Chief of the Secret Services was adamant that no torture was taking place and promised to take the reporter to see all the jails yet never fulfilled that promise. The reporter alleged that the president of the TFG, in a radio broadcast, warned civilians about insurgents in their midst and threatened to blast civilian areas if any attacks originated from these areas! The attacks took place, the government retaliation took place and the documentary played short extracts of the president's radio speech. Now there might have been some allegation that were not substantiated but once you've seen the incompetence of those in charge (as the above shows) it is not a great leap for anyone suspect that these allegations are true.

TFG responds strongly to Channel 4's mochementary Borat moment
NGONGE replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
** Pushes glasses back ** Ahem, it is Defamation not Defermation! Ahem... Still, because of the state Somalia is in it is very unlikely that a complaint of defamation is going to stick. Besides, rightly or wrongly, there shall be no shortage of people coming forward to testify against the TFG. These might be telling the truth or might be lying. Be that as it may, they will still harm the case of whatever fool that decided to lodge a complaint against this program. The wiser move would have been to ignore it and hope other emerging news would make it history. Alas, wise and TFG are not words that are often seen together. -
Originally posted by General Duke: The mochementary was comical to say the least. There was one hilarious scene where the bodyguard of the documentary producers was blown up and half his stomach was hanging out. It was not just his sides that were split it seems, yours too, saaxib. Did you also see the little blind girl with the deformed leg? Or the lady with her cooking oil? Had me in stitches I tell ya...

Originally posted by Abtigiis & Tolka: Ngonge Sad, even the luminous ones have to resort to slurs to make their points. That is Somali’s!! Anyway, who defines what is silly and what isn't? All these days, I have noticed one pattern in your language: Silly, nonsense, etc. Has it occurred to you, you may actually be giving vent to your behaviour with those utterances? Up your game and I may take you seriously, saaxib. Who defines what is silly and what isn't? Surely I do here! This is tedious really but for just this once I'm going to hold your hand and guide you through: 1- The TFG is made of a collection of warlords 2- If the TFG breaks down, those warlords will go it alone 3- If they go it alone they shall become an extra problem/side in the Somali dispute 4- Someone will have to negotiate/deal with this extra problem 5- This is not different to negotiating/dealing with the TFG now. Does it make sense to you or should we go on this SILLY merry round once more?

I am very disappointed in you all. Very.

I'm told the story of the 'slap' started this way: AY tells Geedi a good joke about Gabre's mother. After falling out with AY, Geedi tells the joke to Gabre. AY rubs his face as he wonders why he got slapped.

Heh@Emperor. A&T, You're just being silly now. When you're in the mood for serious discussion give me a shout, saaxib.
-
^^ What you wrote made no difference to the original point. You're just looking at it from the other angle. But follow that thread of thought and it'll bring you right back to the negotiating table. No probabilities here, my friend. Only facts. Horn is wrong. Edit: This was for A&T not the fool below.

^^^ Six of one, half dozen of the other....

Originally posted by HornAfrique: In response to those who advocated for a fantasy "peace" meeting in Djbouti, I responded: quote: Current Somalia Players: -The U.S.A -Ethiopia -Al-Shabaab. The notion that the TFG and the "opposition" can sit down on a issue in which they are not the prime players is really beyond laughable. Perhaps now they can see for themselves why I never mentioned TFG as a player. Very shortsighted of you, saaxib! The TFG, as reprehensible as they are, do exist and are (despite all appearances to the contrary) main players in this entire mess. It suits them now to be the puppets of Ethiopia (just like it suited your illustrious leader to be part of the TFG not so long ago). However, to argue that they don't matter when it comes to negotiations is truly myopic! I know you're stubborn and that last paragraph probably didn't sway you. Let's do it the Somali way. Here is a supposition: Suppose the Ethiopians change tack and start acting in a way that is against the TFG's interests. Suppose that such action threatens the entire existence of the TFG. In your opinion, will this result in the simple dismemberment of the TFG and that all the various criminals, thieves, opportunists and politicians that makeup that organisation will just melt away into the night? Or, do you think they'll turn nasty and, like your uncle and Aideed Jnr, will change sides or simply fight back? After all, the TFG is not made up of one man or two; there are a sizable number of those nincompoops with their very own national backing and clannish supporters. Time for yet another rethink on your position, wouldn't you say?

Why the nemesis of Puntland are against the Oil exploration
NGONGE replied to Fiqikhayre's topic in Politics
Upon hearing about the possible oil exploration in their State, the people of Puntland rush to claim what is theirs. -

^^ Americans have no class, my dear. As the Arab poet once said: A dog is a dog even if you put a gold collar round its neck.

Was LG really talking about money alone? How nauseatingly vulgar!

LG, Only because I love you and I'm not in the mood for a long argument, I'm going to let you off and accept your version.
