^^ Every day drags for you. I sometimes sense that you are not a very happy woman, Faheema. You're even worse than me when it comes to the people you work with. One annoys you with the heater she keeps switching off, the other with her stretching and (possibly) stretchy tummy and, your boss annoys you with her awful concentration abilities. Shaqadaan iskaga tag ban ku idhi. Take Ducaysany's advice (before he got formatted). Catch yourself another midget. ...and subax wanaagsan.

I watched a bit of it at four in the morning. Struggled to keep up as I could not put the sound up (in the usual Somali way). Its the only place where people chew chat before eating breakfast or even brushing their teeth, they call it "indho fure" session. Qaar ayaa taqsiinta meel ku sii guntada xataa. ahaha   Just for you, I am going to rehash the qorismaris tale our local coffee shop story teller told us: He told of a Laas Qori (for argument's sake, and the Qori here is accidental) man who went to Djibouti. He was told before going to visit that place that the country has loads of shape shifters. So, one day, whilst sitting chewing qat with a Djiboutian, the host got up and went to the toilet. Our Laas Qori boy sat chewing quietly when, suddenly, a goat ran into the room and started eating the host's qaat. He ignored it and carried on chewing. Ten minutes later, the host returned to find his qaat all eaten! He turned to the Laas Qori man and said 'War qaatkaygi yaa laastay?' The laas Qori man raised an eyebrow and said 'adiga!' The host got angry and protested that he didn't eat anything. He repeated the question more menacingly. The Laas Qori man threw his own qaat down and shouted 'War ma anaad igo ciyaaraysa? Did you not just eat it when you were a goat'?

The lady has the gift be being able to reach all, young old, women, men and across all sectors, not only that she is organised and clear on goals and her effort is beyond most somali men. But I do have a point. You just don't agree with it you stubborn woman. I don't believe Ms Adan is not Muslim. Experience tells us that when Somalis leave their 'traditional' faith never stop banging on about the new trendy crew they have joined. Edna would have built a little shrine in that hospital of hers if this were true. It's par for the course, MM.

^^ I wouldn't mind it if they paid me. I'm doing this for free (for now). Lets hope JB remembers me when he's made SL Minster Of Everything Good.

They tell me to switch off my electric heater before I leave the office. I forget. They tell me again, I forget. The building security send an e-mail of complaint about my heater, I remember to switch it off for a few days but then I start forgetting again. They send a LETTER. I switch my heater off for good. Now I am feeling cold and sick. I filled in a sick form and I'm going home. (I'm not that forgetful, I just saw an opportunity).

CL, no man boobs yet but the love handles are getting out of control. I'm buying me some of those pills.

^^ I told you my reasons, woman. I heard her SPEAK. She is not a good public speaker (she speaks very good English though). She goes off on a tangent and hardly keeps up with things. She also does not seem to be subtle or wily enough for actual politics. Watch the program again

Didn't want to spoil the first thread with this. Read it then let it die. New celebrity diet pill Capsiplex hits the UK streets A slimming pill, which burns off as many calories as 90 minutes of walk or a 25-minute jog, has hit British markets. Made from red-hot peppers, the pill called Capsiplex has been used by celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, 40, Brad Pitt, 46, and Britney Spears, 28. “At last we have a safe and healthy supplement to help aid weight loss,” the Daily Star quoted a spokesman as saying. A month’s supply costs 29.99 pounds and can be bought at www.capsiplex.com . Source (Yes. I have become a fattie in the past two years).

^^ Faheema does not dream of Jb, silly. Only Jb dreams of Faheema. It's not even a dirty dream any more! The cow is trying to kill him. What did he ever do to her to deserve such a fate? P.S. Being a housewife will never suit you. You'll have the neighbour's begging you to go back to work within weeks.

^^ Actually, having listned to Riyaale speaking in Somali (and despite what his haters say) I think he is always on point and does a somewhat good job. Silanayo too is not bad in a question and answer session. Adna, for all her other skills, is not that good. She is not a politician, Ibti. It's nothing to do with her being a woman, she just is not a politician.

Ngonge, raggan waa ragii Lafoole. Some of them like Said and Fahiye contributed to the Amoud and East African foundation. This one will be a very legitimate and competitive one since there are so many High schools in the region and the need for it is critical to the community. Waliga difaac ku jir. I was not questioning the ability of these guys or the feasibility of the University, I was rather alluding to the fact that the last time a group of Somalis met for a university related gathering Jilbaab ba ku qarxay.

^^ The BBC's Question Time once had an African edition, she was on it. She was part of the SL government at the time. She did not do a good job.

Heh@Jb..waa caadi. Waxan maqlay waa lo balan qaaday en ay safaarada dubai siyaan. Faheema is a Suufi. She travels from London to Hargeisa every night to be 'one' with Jb. Lakin waa xareef, woo ka baxsada.

Are you sure these are the books one has to read before they die? But it's mostly nonsense, Marx. Ok, I'll concede on 1984 and maybe the Edward S. one. The one I dislike the most there is the bloody Alchemist. It's a children's book.

^^ I don't like the word 'Gents', Faheema. So take your 'morning' and flush it down the loo. Subax wanaagsan.

Nice lady but should stick to charity work and public information.

^^ Dee waa sax. Burco 'few hours' ba ku filan.

^^ You still have not seen him? Did he go to Burco by the way?

^^ When Chelsea beat Arsenal recently (how many weeks ago was that? ), they were ELEVEN points ahead. Now, if Arsenal win their two games in hand they will only be ONE point behind Chelsea! Wareer Badanaa!!! We took down Villa. Next, bring on Spurs. We're hunting them down one by one.

^^ Adeer is daji dee. I am giving you my opinion based on what I read on this thread. Leave your xamasad aside and read it please. It all looks one sided (mostly from an,understandably, upset family). Has anyone else verified the case? The petition itself mentions the human rights organisations but does not quote any of them. In short, and without prejudice or being too emotional, as things stand, this looks like the family's word against the Danish Government's word. If you plan to get a result on the words of the family alone, let me tell you that you'll be wasting your time, saaxib.

New with over six hundred posts?

No CL it was the turkey. (as if you would know how to cook one). And what do you mean got me to talk to you? I talk to you all the time. Ibti, you mean a proper one like the one above or just a sandwich?
-
Ibti, This might be murqan talk for now but I guarantee that the first Somali woman to cook a turkey and boast about it to her friends will start the trend that everyone shall follow. I'm planning to try cooking one on 18th May. CL, I don't believe a word you're saying. For any recent arrivals, this is what a turkey looks like:
