  1. Oh! And I dislike the guy more than all of you combined (carab this and carab that).
  2. Whatever peacenow did does not deserve this silly witch hunt. If the aims of the site are as Adam says then one would expect such great minds to possess thicker skins. If a site has its nobility it must also have its peasants. The man's comments should not at all stop you from doing what you do. When in the mood, you can even send a putdown or two his way. But, mostly, it should not be that hard to ignore him. To ask for him to be banned would mean asking for another twenty or so people to be banned too. P.S When you're not wasting your time with atheist dacwa, you seem to do some good stuff. I still think it's a con and you've got poor gimp that you blackmail into doing all this stuff for you. Well done anyway (to the brother who did this, to you and more importantly, to the gimp).
  3. ^^ With all those things going on all at the same time, you must have got tardis.
  4. ^^ There was no link. It was a joke. Let me try to explain it. Mating is an act that historically was connected with procreation. You have nice eyes. The man liked your eyes and wanted to mate with them. Therefore, and since you cannot give birth through your eyes, he was suggesting that he does not like your eyes and would love to mate with them. Meaning, he wanted to stick a finger in your eye and induce lots of baby tears. (I'm surprised you didn't cringe at such a cheesy comment anyway).
  5. ^^ I think A&T once wrote a story about that.
  6. All I said was 'imagine if he was undercover' and whoosh, they were all swarming around him with compliments and friendly banter like an average Ibti in a Faheema kitchen.
  7. You could write a book on the softness of crocodile skin when compared to Amazonian mosquitoes, and Somalis will still buy it, Adam. They might not buy it if it were written by an Ethiopian or someone of any other nationality but just because you are Somali you'll be to their taste. Now have you written something or are these just ideas in your head? I see you talking about sequels and stuff above. Waa bad ordaysa.
  8. He said/she said is never good. It's best when you listen and give vague answers to keep the gossip going. There is a young Arab intern in the office, I happily started a rumour about him being the next boss. Now all the timo jilac are hovering around him like flies on a piece of smelly stuff.
  9. ^^ Was always going to pass those. It's more the nonsense going on with the top guys. They sacked someone in November and suspended another for alleged plagiarism. Now the suspended guy is giving them too much trouble (they have to go through the precedure to prove they were right to suspend him). But just as things are hotting up in that case they have decided to sack another person (don't care really, I never liked her). Of course, within the office we have people who knew the suspended guy for years and are still in touch with him (by phone). They keep coming to me to find about the latest gossip (and pass it on to him, I guess). The guys in charge also keep coming to me and are trying to drag me into all of this (on their side). Office work is 90% politics but in our place it seems to be 110%. (All this just because I speak Arabic and everyone suspects I have big contacts with head office. Of course, I let them believe that). How is it on your end?
  10. I gave him a full five and I bet Dajiye did too. It made no difference! He's still on two stars. Morning Juxa. Click on the word Judge me under his avater.
  11. Rubbish. Algeria wanted to do exactly what they did in Sudan. Score a fluke and defend for their lives. But Egypt came at them from the start. Mohamadi was given free reign and was passing the winger and defender on his side with total ease (the Algerian player almost broke his leg with that crazy tackle). Egypt looked in total control BEFORE the penalty and the sending off. On the sending off, even if the ref has not made the mistake with the early yellow card, he could have easily still sent the man off for being the last man there. Plus, it was a penalty taa hadal kuma jiro. The way the Egyptian took the penalty is also ok (there is no rule that says he can't). The ref should have also sent the goalkeeper off straight after that penalty. Lets hope FIFA look at the game and ban the Algerian team from taking part in the world cup. Now that will be the real icing on the cake. p.s. The ref was rubbish but the Algerians were more rubbish that he was.

  13. ^^ Khaaf Allah ya Nur and LX. If you don't know, can't articulate yourself or are confused just say so. Here is where things stand and me (and most readers I'm sure) want from you. There is a problem in Somalia. It has become a problem of faith where one group is accusing another of Kufur. We are asking, on what grounds are you accusing these others of Kufur? Now, in your mind you may believe you are right. Fair enough. But explain to us how you are right. Dot the Is and cross the Ts. Don't just give us a manual (which is what you are doing here) and expect us to understand how you arrived at this interpertation of yours (for it is an interpertation after all). On all the threads that LX started and you supported him on, not once did either of you come out straight and say Sh. Sharif (or the TFG) is a Kafir because of A, B and C. To waffle and go on and on about Xukums, details and scholarly minutia is to avoid dealing with the issues head on. To me, that looks like deception, and if I start suspecting you of deception, I need not worry about your sincerity anymore. The Takfiri notions become null and void. Am I being harsh and confrontational? You bet I am. You are being very evasive (intentionally or otherwise) and I want you to stand still for a minute and see how frustrating this cat and mouse game is getting. P.S. Take a month to compose your reply if you must. Just make sure it deals with the issues on the ground rather than being an essay by a second year Islamic studies student at Om Al Qura.
  14. ^^ Maybe they'll lose to Ghana now. Did you se how they got their revenge last night. Xaaax! (If you come and complain about the ref, just remember that Egypt were in total control even before the sending offs). What a game. What a game. Masr Masr Taxya Masr.
  15. MF & Guru, I'm falling back in line. Fadlan, do your best to chase Xiin out of this thread like it's a cyber holhol
  16. ^^ Actually, if you listned to me and calmed down you would have seen that things are getting worse for everyone. This hurt man has a family/clan of his own. He also happens to weild some power. How would he retalite now? I wonder what the Garad's view of this bombing is. Would they say all fair in love and war? Meanwhile, neither Riyaale nor Faroole are losing any sleep.
  17. Guru, I understood MF's point perfectly and it agrees with your explanation above. But I repeat my question to him: "In what esteem would you say that the natives of Sool hold these 'elites' (or as everyone else calls them: Garads)?" Does it make much of a difference if the Garad's are in lands controlled by SL or PL? The message they have will surely get through regardless. How can you sideline these Garad's without angering the people? It always were about clans ileen.
  18. Xiin, The dhiig kac was not you, it was (probably) one of the Garads. So mad odhan violence was committed against them? It's not semantics. There was no violence in one incident and there was a bomb in another. It's like the Egyptain joke about the two farmers who were playing chess. One of them killed the other's knight. So the loser got up, left the room for ten minutes and came back smiling. The first asked him 'where did you go?' and he calmly replied 'you killed my knight/horse and I poisoned your cattle.
  19. ^^ The Riyaale government might see it that way but I (and MF) should not support nonsense. What dhan isugu leexo? The road is mine. Adigu is ilaali oon, there are lots of ditches on the sides.
  20. Xiin, Did the Garads run out of holhol with their macawis in their mouths as they were being chased out by this man and his soldiers? There was no violence against the Garads in holhol, unless you wish to report something we have missed of course. Ma bakooradaha laga jabiyaay? Mese one of them had his ulcer playing up as a result of SL interference? Aaah! Ku gartay, blood pressurka baas ba ku kacay.
  21. ^^ A different argument altogether, Xaaji. What was that about difference without distinction again?
  22. ^^ I get the backhanded compliment but I can't get over the fact that you just confirmed I may have been born in 1957. If I didn't love those who love you, wan ku habaari laha ayeeyo. Gheelle, I refer you to section two of the NGONGE SOL Manual (If I have not met her in real life, I question her assumed gender).
  23. ^^ Chase out is a very strong term here. What happened to this man does not compare to the handbags at holhol, Xaaji. A sense of proportion please.
  24. MF, I have not represented anything you wrote. The problem here was about the Garads meeting and the SL government preventing them from doing so. How in the world would I know that the 'elites' you speak about were people different from the Garads who are central to this problem? Stepping nimbly over Xiin's hyperbole, let me repeat what I said earlier and what I'll continue saying. This is not a wise way to do things (regardless of PL's position). The position you hold here is very weak and the argument you present does SL no favours. Now, I can see you mistook my own position as some sort of support for PL or the nonsense its supporters are trying to sell here. I do not need to listen to any PL advice on this issue. The news keeps showing them up at every turn. However, what they are saying is no different to what you are saying. AND, this is why I am picking on you. You are on my side dammit.
  25. ^^ Nonsense. Get a hold of yourself, xaaji.
