  1. Spain all the way (with Torres on the bench most games). A&T is also correct. Dunga's Brazil look formidable. Did someone suggest that Honduras will be the surprise team of the world cup? War kubbada barta dee.
  2. ^^ You see how we fell into muraan? Bishaaro believs she is wearing a hijaab, adeer. What about you? Why are you embarrassed about the style you wear?
  3. ^^ After five years in Burco and elsewhere he is now back in Qatar. Last I knew, he was trying to arrange a testimonial where he would invite Al Ahli of Cairo. I do know that he helped some London guys get trials with Qatari clubs (they failed ). No idea what he gets up to though.
  4. ^^ I was talking to YOU not Mzanzi, I just confused a little. So, spill, do you wear your hijab in the style of the cartoons I posted or in the bishaaro way?
  5. ^^ I shave it off all the time. Lakin lets leave my hair and talk about yours instead, adeer. What style do you wear your hijab on? (genuine question to keep the thread going).
  6. ^^ He scored the equalising goal against Colombia in the 92 Barcalona Olympics that got his team to the quarterfinals. I always thought he was a rubbish player (but I'm not sure if it was a bit of xaasidnimo on my part now).
  7. ^^ Are you making fun of my hairdo now?
  8. ^^ You're taking this too seriously. She is a celebrity, not my inadeer (though there might be some link there too). She put her face in public and if her hair do is the only thing people commented on, I'd say she is very lucky. Now stop talking nonsense.
  9. ^^ Yes. The man has so many names it always confuses the hell out of me.

  11. Rai was good but never as good as he older brother.
  12. ^^ You mean he's arresting those seven to stop them from voting? Darn! Seventy two more to go.
  13. ^^ Talking of 'odd hijab styles', you must be banging your head against the wall every time you walk past an Arab woman. (it has reached London and all).
  14. Originally posted by Abtigiis &Tolka: quote:Originally posted by Ibtisam: So would you stop moaning and crying and calcal. If your Xalimo is no good, get another one who agrees with your views or a none somali one, just anaga warerika naag taay. I think all somali men who complain about somali women, just can't get one because they are ugly, bitter and stuck in 18th century. Haye. Well, to your first suggestion, what if changing six doesn't work? To the latter assertion, I thought In la adkeeyo unbay haweenku ubaahan yihiin'e it is not so much about being pretty. If that was the case, mid Jamican iga dooratay would have gone with me instead? I salute all the Raga raga ah ee SOL such as Sayid-Somal, Unknown1, Saqajaan, Dabshid and Ducaysane. I condem the spineless 'Rag la mood' such as Ngonge, Xinn, Jacaylbaro (oo saacadna nn rag ah saacadna xaawaleey). I didn't see this at the time. Where is he kalabka xun? Balls indeed!
  15. ^^ You're being stubborn, Seeker. I acknowledged that problems do exist already. I simply believe they are not as bad (community wise) as you believe. For every drunk, we have a thousand sober people. For every drug addict, we have a hundred mullahs. For every prostitute, we have ten thousand niqaabis. For every unemployed-good-for-nothing-low-life, we have dozens of graduates. This is the reason why I (and the old ones - you cow ) believe waiting is the best option. Of course, this does not mean we should not do anything when we can. Many already do (I used to run a Somali youth club once upon a time and when I meet the kids that used to come there now, they still act around me in the same way they did when they were fourteen. They are your age by the way. Some are doing as well as you and some had periods in jail, etc). Don't panic.
  16. ^^ Dee skills and making the right decisions on a football pitch kala saar, Bob. Walcott undoubtedly had the physical skills. He just does not know when it is best to cross, pass or make a run. P.S. The latest rumours are that Roy-bloody-Hodgson will be the next Liverpool manager.
  17. ^^ Norf is SOL's Walcott. He has the skill but no footballing brain. But Walcott is not going to the world cup.
  18. ^^ Arr riwaayadaha eega! Ibti says the girl is Somali carab when this girl only came to London (from Burco via Addis) four years ago (you can tell she's a hard worker). Worse still, nuune says she's engaged when she's actually married (well, sort off). Arr naga daaya.
  19. Wale kanaa i fahmay.
  20. ^^ As if you ever go with your head!
  21. There you go Sheh (and before anyone complains about putting women's photos on here, it is from their site).
  22. Seeker, whilst some problems exist things are really not as bad as you think they are. How long have Somalis lived in the city you mention? We are not doing bad you know. My opinion of Somalis.
  23. ^^ Spain's 23 man squad is bursting with talent, saaxib. I would be surprised if you did not know the names of all 23. This is not the case with all the other teams (not even Brazil). I'm sticking with Spain.
  24. You're lucky it's a quick visitor, Norf. Wait until the job seekers arrive and expect you to go around arranging visas, work permits and accommodation for them. This reminds me of the a conversation I had with an old seaman in Liverpool once. He was telling me about the old days in Cadan and how people used to turn up from Somalia and enquire about the whereabouts of any clan members. Eventually, the clan member (who usually lived in a small house himself) would have ten or fifteen people sleeping outside his house every night (with the logic being that the outside of the house is still his property and these are still his guests). Grin and bear it, Norf. It could have been worse, saaxib.
