Serenity never ceases to amaze me. She starts her post with 'I'm so pissed off with the world', making us think something really bad has happend and then it only turns out to be a request for holiday destinations. Cirka tag, I'm not helping.

Anigu waxbaan fahmay, KK. And when I see laba islaamo attacking me from both directions, I know it's time I behaved myself. Ma fahantay?
-
Seeker, I know you silly sponge. I was just pulling your leg. Wax fahan.

GG, when I get older I'll get wrinkles too. Adigu do you still have the puppy fat or are you a fully grown woman by now?
-
^^ And that's why I'm picking on you. All the girls tend to suddenly "like" football when the world cup starts and then disappear the minute it finishes. And even then, if you ask her "Do you remember when Campiaso scored that twenty one pass goal during the 20206 world cup?" she replies "No. But I remember thinking that Ronaldo looked well hot without his shirt on". Bax. Bax now. Soco.

^^ There you go with your accusations and insinuations. I was simply tired after a long couple of weeks of stress and exams.

^^ When you get older, you'll have wrinkles you silly. (salaaam).

^^ Pay back time. Wax fahan.

^^ Our tabloids are actually the best for Football news. And about you being the only one; well, I'm being clearly sexist here. Besides, the rest of the Americans who post here actually have no idea what we are talking about. They keep referring to it as soccer.

Norf, wa la igu leeyahay dee (It's I who didn't sleep after all). I've done 24 hours once and my mother thought I died.
-
Seeker, get out of this thread you damn American. Go check out my final post on that USA thread (and never show your face in footballer discussions ever again).

Every few weeks I would do sixteen hours sleep and wake up to potter about, watch tv, eat and then go back to do another four or five. But that, as I tell everyone who comments "wa inta la igu lahaa". Normally though I sleep for five or six hours at the most. Last night I only did four.

^^ The first game in the world cup that I didn't get to watch so far. Doesn't sound like I'm missing much though. Norf, are Holland playing two holding midfielders? Aaax ya Lucas.

^^ I hear the song is done in many languages now. But, sadly, there is no Somali verison (or is there?). Here is an effort from me to cheer Libaahe* up. Waving The Flag - Burco version Markaan tahriibo, Europe soo galo Waxaan ka dhargayaa digaag..ka dhargayaa digaag Ooh..ooooh...oh...ooh..ooh hilib iyo toon, biyo cad laga roon faraxal iyo sabuun, eesh calaa adduun Iga daa Kaltuun, caasha iyo fartuun Gaalada qurxoon, bal ii soo doon Markaan tahriibo, Europe soo gaalo Waxan ka dhargayaa digaag..ka dhargayaa digaag....Ooh oh OOOOh oh oooh

^^ Oh stop being a xaasid. We recently had a thread about an SL student putting up a flag in a Malaysian mountain. I think the thread was started by JB (he is one of the people back home). Plus, why do you assume that the people back home are not keeping up with events taking place in other parts of the world? Are they not Somali? Is this man not waving their flag and reminding the world of their plight? This xaasidnimo is not healthy, adeer. Wax fahan.

Originally posted by Libaahe*: Good on Knaan, but waving a flag with a failed country of 20 years means little i am just being real here, People generally tend to be proud of their achievements , progress , prosperity , peace, not a flag that represents death , misery , forced migration , piracy , suicide bombings , warlords. Gestures always matter, saaxib. The flag might represent all these things to you but it also represents a COUNTRY that has (had) a history before the war and misery. It represents a people that belong to that country (even if you and I choose not to belong). Yes, it's a worthless piece of cloth but the man waving it at that particular moment (and not on some obscure net forum) gave it a significance beyond its worth. His was a rallying cry. One that is seen and appreciated by millions of his people. Even if it turns out that his intentions are dodgy, the fact that he hoisted that flag at that gathering is not. Wax fahan.

Pulse of the Nation: Somaliland Election Projections
NGONGE replied to Ace of Spadez's topic in Politics
^^ Salaam saaxib. Long time no see. So you're with UCID now? -
^^ Australia played totally the wrong tactics, saaxib. Like Oz said, the entire blame is on the coach. The minute he saw that his midfielders were outnumbered and that Ozil had the freedom of the park, he should have changed tactics and put an extra man in midfield. Germany were good but they really were not tested and were allowed to pass the ball around without being pressured much. The Aussie defenders were leaving huge spaces behind them and allowing Podolski & Muller to run into these spaces (not once, not twice but for the entire match). Germany are not likely to have such freedom against Ghana who play five in the middle.
-
^^ I hope they don't. It's going to be a flat atmosphere without them. I'm loving the noisey things.
-
^^ Actually SWP played well and helped in defence (which is something your beloved Cole could not have done). He also attempted to attack when in posession and was in the right place for that shot that the keeper saved. Joe Cole is a great player but he would have struggled in this game (just like Milner). Overall, I reckon England played well, saaxib. A&T, the English media actually hate Heskey (like Norf and others). But the so called cliche is correct. He does bring the best out of his fellow strikers and he (almost always) occupies the defenders to such an extent that the end up making mistakes. He might not be suited to a flair team like (Brazil, Spain or Argentina) but, for England, Germany or Italy, he is perfect.

I don't know what you're complaining about. They actually make for a great world cup. Whenever there is an attack or some incident the sound (like the watcher's emotions) goes over the roof. Keep the vavawhateveritscalled.

^^ Capello sucks? Bes. Bes. Halka ku daa. Bob is that why Messi's team struggled to qualify for this world cup and lost six nil to Bolivia?
-
^^Both of you are wrong on almost every count. England (like Maradonna's boys) played well against a very limited opposition. They really should have won this game by three clear goals. Alas, the decision making of some of the younger guys was a bit iffy. Still, it's the first game and I'm sure they'll find their feet as the tournment goes on. This USA team is worse than any teams America had in since the Lalas days. A very lucky draw for them. By the way, Messi looks in the mood this year. Shame that the Argi defence is not up to the job.
