  5. I totally understand what the Iraqi woman said... and most of the rest of the world's reaction. Any ways I can't believe that this is happening so soon after obama's election. I am so pissed off ! Good news is there is no reason why Obama can't win the next election. This has happened in the US history twice and both times the president won the next election.

On a serious note, I am proud to be a Somali but unlike our friend, MMA, I don't believe that Somalis are superior to others ha ha. P.s. I don't necessarily always agree with my signatures. “I have opinions of my own - strong opinions - but I don't always agree with them" George W. Bush. Maxaa kugu raray a signature that you don't agree with?
  8. Ofcourse Somali kama fiicna madwo or anyone else. People are inhernetly equal; Cadaan, madow, Somali iyo Carab toona ma kala fiicna in themselves. That said nin Jamaican ah gabadh Soomali ah kama faano karo haduu helo waa in uu alxamdulilaah dhahaa. Don't ask me to explain that is just how it is. The poster may not be Somali but there are many Somali girls who are that insecure and would post such a thing.....what a shame

Originally posted by Geel_jire: I find it distasteful and a sign of desperation. this the textbook definition of gratuitous nudity. the content of the song had absolutely nothing to do with naked women .. they were just props thrown in there to entice horny teenagers to buy this music. even dim wit rappers when they include half naked women in their music videos have at least something in the lyrics referring to said woman. You are right this is not only crazy but also out of context.... Nonsense, utter nonsense. I find this to be complete garbage.

I had seen a few times that then very prime time show, Deal or No Deal . It was so insulting to your intelligence to see the objectification of kuwa boorsooyinka keeno in that show -- surprise, surprise, all semi-nuudo women. Runtii all smiling identical robots u ekaayeen, without any sense of feeling anything. Dad sharaftii laga qaaday in the name of money. MMA I hear you bro. Kuwan respecting women wax kama oga...I don't know about showgaad sheegtay lakiin everything oo la gadayo naag qaawan baa lagu gadaa around here. I always knew this but seeing it in K'naan's vidoe disgusted me. For God's sake the man was supposed to represent his 'hood'/us. I hope he knows what he is doing. Lacag uu ku waayo mooyee in saan in uusan lacag ku helynin bey ila tahay because are billions of videos and songs like this but his music spoke to people's hearts.

As for repeating it, I only said it once (in reply to you and you did not even bat an eyelid at the time). The rest has all been a grammatical dispute between me and Ismalura. She's doing quite well on her own (not too well but well enough to keep me interested). Dee naga daaya. Me keeping you interested? Actually it is more than that;kurka kaliyaa kaa soo jeeda and you are fighting with all you have (which of course is not much). If you want to have a grammatical war we can take a test so that I can beat you again like I have been doing all along. 19. Originally posted by NGONGE: ^^ But I don't know the answer, I really don't. I can make an educated guess but seeing our track record, I am not really sure I'll get it right. Is it really that hard to say yes or no? Anyway, I was hoping for a much more open discussion on the idea of Jinn and demonic possession. It is something that seems to happen in many cultures (and faiths) in the world. Gaalo priests claim to be able to do exorcisms, African witchdoctors claim it and many Muslim wadaads claim the same thing too. Strangely enough, it has lately become very popular amongst Somalis. I've heard of someone flying all the way from London to Sharjah (in the UAE) to see a wadaad that does super-dooper ruqya (maybe the wadaad was our very own Mr P ). In Africa, the whole issue of witch craft and Jinn is blamed on children. It's all the rage in places like Malawi (little kids get killed for being possessed). But if everyone claims it, how could they also all 'cure' it by the power of faith? Surely there is only one true faith not half a dozen. At any rate, from an Islamic point of view, there are not clear incidents where someone was possessed by a jinn in the time of the prophet. It all seems to have taken place afterwards! God I said no in capital letters ee maxaa kaa si ah? I would love to have such a discussion but seeing as you are hard of hearing, seeing and understanding I feel I can't have a decent and fruitful discussion with you Good luck with finding a nomad with more time, energy and patience.
  20. Originally posted by NGONGE: ^^ Only in your version of logic could "I am not altogether evil" equal an admission to being evil. Yes, I said "I am a sexist, I don't like women's logic". You read it and later wrote it thus "I am sexist, I don't like women logic, doesn't Not mean that I am a sexist" . You need to work on your sentence understanding and construction. The compelete sentence there tells you what I am and why I am so. I am sexist, I don't like women's logic. Tomorrow, we shall work on the use of possessive apostrophes. I am not all together evil means that you admit being partly evil....(of course you are). Starting a sentence with 'I am a sexist' and than arguing 'I am not a sexist because I added another fact'... nice work Mr sentence construction teacher. You are only trying to get back to me on this because I told you that I am not an adult school teacher in the other post. Be original in your criticism horta. And remember this is another man's language plus you know that I don't need help using it. Don't try and change the topic markeey hog kula gashay  .

Let me not be too quick to judge you here. Why do you think it is not bad at all? @ Rain the lyrics are ok but the video is too tired (not original) very immoral and and too unlike k'naan. @ Cabdulahi I was a K'naan fan long before the popularity and the world cup and I never saw it coming especially after watching his interviews and finding him beautifully unique.

This from a man who said "I am sexist, I don't like women logic, doesn't Not mean that I am a sexist" Seriously how does that work in your world? Everything your said so far takes away from your argument of superior male logic. I think God for men like you to prove that generalizations like 'men have superior logic' are not true. I can just say look Ngonge... You will not admit it but you know that I have put you in your right place. 0 for you, 1 for a GIRL with better brains. God you're awful. Was that really what I wrote or are you adding your own words in now? P.S. Ask nicely and I'll explain it to you in baby language. I will too, I'm not altogether evil you know. Ngonge I have many ways to beat you but I start with the easiest and work through to the tougher ones ( take notes here for that is a smart tactic). Hadaan afkeyga iyo aqligeyga kaaga reyna karo why do I need to go further. Are you saying you didn't say." I am a sexist, I don't like women's logic" ? Are you? ogow kor beey ku qorantahay waxaa tidhi ee....why don't you just admit defeat and apologize intaad inkireyso. Did you just call me awful and than admit that you are evil? Walee self-defeating arguments kama weynaatid even though word has it that you are nearing a thousand years old. (which by the way explains a lot !)
  23. Originally posted by NGONGE: Brilliant logic again! I ask you a question to clarify your position and you interpret it as me already knowing the answer to the question. Superb superb logic! Fine. So it is the traditional way with you. A jinn enters someone's body, they (the someone) start acting funny and speaking in tongues, a mullah is called and he ejects the jinn. Right? (a yes or no will do here, no need for the theatrics again). Anyway, here is a question that you can't claim I know the answer to. Ready? Concentrate now. Here goes: Would you say that this judge was really possessed and that his jinni is the one that committed the crime? P.S. We have not been introduced so I am going to take this opportunity to say that I actually like you (don't like your creaky logic but like you). You're like a Rubik's Cube, an entertaining challenge. Obsessed with my logic, aren't you? It is ok you are not the first one I am not answering the question of how I believe the jinn posses people because you already know the answer. On this particular case if you read my first responses you would know that I said that it is a lame excuse. So NO I don't believe the judge but as someone else pointed out it is a clever angle considering where the case is being tried and the people who are trying it....please try and understand what I just said and save me the trouble of another explanation. Lastly on the introduction part horta is that how you introduce your self? Good thinking...again.I am finding you too vain and rude for my liking and I don't think of you as much of a challange but yeah it is entertaining hearing you out
  24. Originally posted by NGONGE: quote:Originally posted by Ismalura: Originally posted by NGONGE: [qb] ^^ There you go again. I asked you one question (which you did not reply to by the way) and you came back at me with half a dozen of yours that do nothing but state the obvious. Lets try again, do you believe that Jinn possess people? Why? And how did you arrive at such a belief? (that they exist is not enough nooh). Obvious baad sheegeysaa ee isn't it obvious that I believe that jinn possess people? Can't you see how arrive at that from to from the questions preceding this;B]Do you see some basis for possession there? Aniga hade adult school teacher ma ihi ee hadadan wax fahmenynin kac meel kale macalin u raadso. [/b] If that what you understand 'obvious' to mean I think adiga o baahan 'adult school', saaxib. Still, and even though I know you'll send me in another wild goose chase, I am going to ask how do you precieve such a posession to take place. Is it the traditional way where the Jinn enters one's body and talks through them to some spitting mullah? 'spitting mullah? You are too disrespectful to deserve an explanation. 'How do you perceive it'? Again you sound too ignorant and since I am not paid as an adult school teacher I have no time or incentive to go through everything. QOf wax u bilabanyahay baan wax u dhameystir karaa lakiin I can't start from the basics. BUT WAIt.... 'Traditional way'? You just admitted that you know what I am talking about so there is no reason for you to ask me the question. End of discussion. PS: If this doesn't give you a closure you need some healing for your 'spitting mullah'.
