  1. Yes, I believe what I type otherwise I wouldn't type it. I'll repeat myself for your benefit: I'm just pointing out that the shelling wasn't indiscriminate. Now where in that sentence did I justify the bombing/shelling of these areas?

  3. No. I'm just pointing out that the shelling wasn't indiscriminate.
  4. Dhulqarnayn -alSumaale; There is some sense of law-and-order in most of the country. Ms Dhucdhuc & Dheylo; Aideed Jr. is scum, but Sharif Ahmed needs as many allies as he can get. You can't blame a man in his position. Thierry; There's no if..The TFG is under hostage. They can't make any decisions without the approval of the Ethiopians, so I'd be shell-shocked if they were to speak out against the Ethiopians. Even if the Ethiopians do "pull out" their troops..They'll still have great influence over the TFG. Anyway, sounds like a great plan.. Intuition; Unite with Eritrea? You're kidding me, right? Ethiopians and Eritreans are both Habashi. I'd rather they both stay out of our affairs, but Somalia is a strategic country in the region, so that's not likely to ever happen. Nomadique-; True. The TFG can't survive with Ethiopia, but I don't think any harm will come to A/Y or Geedi. Regardless of what they’ve done, they'll seek (and get) protection from their respective tribes. Abaayo who are these puppets you are referring to? Abwaan; Men suffer from tunnelvision, women don't. Fair enough of an answer for you?
  5. Poor guy. They played a video of him on NBC and he kept saying "you".."You made me do it".."It's your fault". Wonder who he was referring to.

Well they're back now and they've been successfully tamed by the TFG. Having them show their support for the TFG means their clan also supports the TFG. The TFG doesn't need the support of every Farah and Halimo from so-and-so tuulo..As long the big-dogs support them, they're fine. Survive to do what? To survive as a power within Somalia. quote: The TFG is indeed incompetent and corrupt, but isn't that common in African politics? That doesn’t justify anything Violet, not a thing. I'm not justifying anything. I was actually agreeing with you.
  7. What happens between the time the TFG is ousted and a new government is established/takes power? Should the TFG dissolve, it's my belief that Somalia will return to the chaos and lawlessness of the past 16 yrs. A unifying government can only be established when a third/alternative party arises. The diehard TFG-supporters will never support the establishment of another government(w/ elements of the ICU) in Eritrea and likewise the diehard anti-TFGers will never support this government even if the Ethiopians were to leave this very minute. So in a nutshell: TFG dissolves= return to chaos and lawlessness. TFG finishes its term= Ethiopian domination for decades to come. Either way we're screwed.
  8. Lol. We're talking about clans/Somalis here, so of course the latter. Most clans are represented by uneducated crooks, but hey they are the big-dogs, so in order for the TFG to survive they have to satisfy them. Look at the recent appointment of the chief-of-police. What could be the reasoning behind his appointment? Satisfying his clan and buying their support. There's no place for 'trust' or 'honesty' in politics. The TFG is indeed incompetent and corrupt, but isn't that common in African politics?
  9. By satisfying the people with power and influence, the TFG ensures its own survival. The peoples trust is useless.
  10. It's a matter of survival. The TFG needs to keep all the clans satisfied and that means appointing as many "uneducated warlords" to the position of minister of so-and-so ( based on the 4.5 rule of course).
  11. I think Ethiopia and Eritrea need to butt out of our affairs, but that's not going to happen. Resistance/opposition to this government is justified, but is an armed resistance the best thing for Somalia/Somalis? Let's just say the Ethiopians are kicked out of Somalia..How will we go about forming/establishing a new gov.?
  12. Originally posted by -Nomadique-: Analysts have expressed fears that Ethiopia and Eritrea, still at odds over their unresolved 1998 to 2000 border conflict, may fight a proxy war in Somalia. May? Isn't that exactly what's happening in Somalia?
  13. Indiscriminate bombing and shelling?!? I thought the government told the populace that certain areas of Mogadishu were going to be targeted and to evacuate said areas.
  14. I can't believe my adeer was sacked. I'm offically anti-TFG..
  15. She's talking about sucking up. Edit: Actually, now, I'm not so sure. The other dudes are talking about something else.
  16. I don't think they had time to assess the situation. He came in to the lecture hall and just started shooting. There wasn't much that they could do.
  17. ^ Jump in and do what? They were in their lecture hall. The most they could do is throw a textbook at him. Aaliyah-416; Muslims are not immune from getting depressed or committing suicide.

Caamir saaxib, you are probably smart enough to know what is true from what isn't, therefore dont' believe every nonsense that you read. Obviously he couldnt' rape Zam Zam duacaale. I personally don't like the Suufi, but raping ZamZam that is just waaaay over the top, least you shouldn't believe it. Uhmm are you saying Zam-Zam wasn't raped?
  19. ^ The part you highlighted pretty much means that SL can't offer anything more to SSC that PL hasn't/can't. If a new regional admin. is what's best for the people of the region, they'll go that way.
  20. If you can discuss Somali politics, we can discuss SL politics.

^ For all I know, she could have been referring to people using the Quran to justify FGM.
  22. MJ Bada Cas; If you want to make it seem like Cadde Muse/PL doesn't care for the people of Sanaag because of the Majiyahan incident then you could say that PL doesn't care for the people of Karkaar(Cade Muses qabil) because of the incident between Jama Ali Jama and Abdullahi Yusuf. We've been through this already. Bringing up the Majiyahan incident to 'prove' your point isn't going to work.It was a mistake, one we can move on from, but the fact still remains, your admin. is not wanted or needed. Sool and Sanaag are not neglected(less developed isn't neglected). There isn't anything SL could provide the people of these regions that PL can't/hasn't/won't. Keep going in circles, trying to convince yourself that SL is the knight-in-shining-armour coming to the rescue of the poor people of SSC. Nobodys buying it. P.s.- The clans of Sool and Sanaag live in Garowe and Bosaso respectively. Just showing you that they have a vested interest in remaining with PL.
  23. Like Caamir said, who do you think lives in Bosaso and Garowe?

Right. Getting her ribs fractured by a gang of men (for suggesting that the Qurans views on women needs re-interpretation) is something she knew was coming.
