What control are you taking about my fellow delusional SOLer? Have you even read the comment before bubbling over with non-sense. Let me tell you what control is and is not: 1. It is an unrivalled authority over a territory including its airspace. Meaning anything which happens to the aircrafts in a territorial airspace is the responsibility of those in charge. Now tell me who is in charge of Somaliland? 2. It is the ability to have a complete access to a territory where an aircraft makes emergency landing or crash lands to carry out recovery and full investigation. Tell me who has such an access to Somaliland? 3. It is not just sitting idly in front of a commuter screen in an office with UN staff and watching airlines go about their business. I can do that with my mobile phone. If you claim to have control over an airspace then you have declared that you have an unfettered access to the territory under such airspace so assume responsibility for anything which happens to the airlines in the air and on the ground.

I wouldn't want this to be done but what if Somaliland releases a large number of high attitude balloons carrying sharp metallic objects into the busy airline routes over it and then warns all international airlines not to enter its airspace? Sharing of the management of the control center by both governments. 3. Two separate air traffic control centres recognised by the international community. 4. We should have good relations with this clan but the government of Somaliland should make it clear to them that as their region is beyond Somaliland's borders they cannot be part of Somaliland at least politically and should therefore live in harmony with their brothers and sisters in Puntland. We cannot accuse Puntland of claiming parts of our country and yet claim parts of their region which lie beyond our borders.
