  1. Lol @ secret society, you made the whole thing sound like a freemasonic and illuminati project, i'm very weary of that type of thing...and I usually stay away. Come up with something better, saxib.
  2. Untill the two are reconciled then the poisonous political atmosphere will remain. Somalia needs honest politics from all it's constituents. They would also like Puntland to pay it's federal taxes, send it's share of boots to the National Army and take seriously the issue of piracy that is endangering our hold to our 200 nautical miles [plus 150nm exclusive zone]. Is this too much to ask? P.s That's me reading between the lines!
  3. When the war is over ASWJ will go back to the dugsi to teach sufism, I like the fact that they're in good terms with all somali constitutes but no one has given them the mandate to break-up the Somali state.
  4. ^^ Lol, this is not some muran saxib, it's just top down approach tend to end in failure, USA has spent 4 trillion and murdered 250k people in order to create democracy in both Afghanistan and Iraq and still came out short. What we need in Somalia is to carry all sections of the society if we are going succeed. We can use guns in order to create security but we cannot use them to settle political differences!

If we had just one city where all the ideals and dreams of the Old Republic are combined and expanded, it would redeem us as a people. Mogadishu?

The political calendar is an arbitrary deadline, even if we hold presidential elections tomorrow it wont change the fact that the new interim goverment will only be controlling Mogadishu. The fact that Afgoye which is 10 miles away hasn't been captured since we entered this calendar year gives me more concern than some constitution. As I commented earlier UK which is called the mother of democracy has got no written consitutions. The TFG can introduce bills of rights as a temporal measure while it reconstituting the state.... FFS! we dont even have a judicial and we here singing and dancing about some constitution. We need to learn to walk before we can run. Lets not be like "Somaliland"...who have been putting the cart before the horse for the past 21yrs.

But do you believe this clause should be the basis for rejecting the entire constitution? Any other clauses that warrant the protest and teh public outcry that domintae the airwaves these days? Also this constitution will be up for ratification in four years time. Common sense says if this is the prize we pay to get out of the hole we have been and end teh transition we shall adopt it and ratify in four years with greater public participation. But to just say NO is holding Somala back As I said earlier the constitution could be 100% right but I object is this top down of approach by the government, our elites should be able to carry people with them and there no need to threaten anyone for putting their opinions out. Now if anyone is waging war against the state and Somali people then they are definately the enemy and appropriate measures should be taken. As for politics, there will always be political disagreement, that is the nature of beast! No need to go overboard.
  9. These organisations are just pissing in the wind, the enemy of Somalia are terrorists, pirates and the famine that has created 3m IDP. If these people are serious about us, then they would have helped us reconstitute our nationa army, police, judiciary and our ability to collect tax. This top down approach has failed, no body likes chocolate shoved up their throat even though it's nice. UK doesn't have a written constitution even though it's called the mother of democracy, South Africa has the world most advance constitution but politicaly, economicaly, security wise it's still a sh!t hole for majority of it's citizen.
  10. I totaly disagree with the 5 year residence rule for gaining Somali citizenship [ I might reconsider a 10 yr rule], as to all somalis who were displaced from Somalia [3m] they and their children have the right to their homeland. As for Somalis of the regions of NFD and ******ia, they can aply for the Somali Passport.... but i would rather they stayed in those regions and work with Somalia to bring about economical, cultural, educational link between our lands, Somalia is always open to them and they have full access to our ports, airports, schools, hospitals etc.
  11. ^^ He might have been a crook before but on this occassion he's got more insight than you!

Its more complex then you make it out to be. Most people want to establish peace but differ on the conditions, and there should be compromise instead of labing people anti-peace or spoilers. This can be adressed quite easily imo, but unfortunately some people deciding to handle this the "somali way" Well said, somalis like to put people in one camp or another. Life is more complicated than that and it's not black and white!
  13. The PM needs to listen to all sections of Somalia, just because his enclave has endorsed it doen't give him the right to shove up other regions throats, his job is also to win people over to his argurments and principles not threaten anyone who disagrees... this is not a dictatorship. This top down approach has failed before, the government needs to carry everyone in this process if it wants to succeed!
  14. ASWJ are just a political party with guns funded by Ethiopia, they have no power or mandate to recognize anyone!!
  15. Somalia;825016 wrote: They don't need to amend it when this one overrides it. Do you need me to speak in another language for you to understand? If it's not amended then it will only cause disputes and confusion...and like the machiavellian you are, you and your enclave folks want to have your cake and it too.
  16. Somalia;825011 wrote: This constitution overrides that of Puntland, get your facts straight. Then Puntland should amend their constitutions, i have had enough of this double speak.
  17. Spoilers [secessionist, wannabe secessionist, pirates, terrorrists, warlords etc] are those who have picked up arms against the Somali government and it's people, political dissent should be allowed in the new Somalia.
  18. AYOUB;825000 wrote: A country already occupied by foreign armies and mercenaries. That's why the south are refusing the draft consitution. Puntland have there own constitution that will keeps out other Somalis and the 100m Chinese...unless they are migrant workers
  19. ^^No, it's just long dresses [maxi dress] and skirts is in, this season, next year it will be micro-skirts and ...
  20. NGONGE;824985 wrote: Which government is going to allow 100 million Chinese to just walk in and make home in the country? Puntland Government?
  21. Somalia;824832 wrote: I think you are the one being naive, there's more at play here. I guarantee you, if it fails, Puntland will secede, there's no doubt about it or the capital will be moved from Mogadishu to another area. If only the world worked like that then it would be x-mas and new year everyday.
  22. Somalia;824822 wrote: Faroole is right to be a "stealth secessionist". What's left if this road map fails, you think we will let moryaan set us back another 21 years? Even I won't be against secession if it fails and let the south become a trusteeship. When trusteeship comes it will involve all 18 regions of Somalia from Ras kamboni to Loya Ado...you're starting to behave like an ostrich with it's head in the sand, Somalia.
  23. Paragon;824808 wrote: Lol At lease I haven't know Faroole selling off a chunk of Somali territory. Faroole is a stealth secessionist but you wont know what that means.
  24. Somaliland started this rot, now we are all going to pay for sometime to come. ****** somalis don't know the folly of their actions.
