And than were pushed out of it again in the end. As for xamar the tfg and ethiopians were not given one chance abdilahi yusuf at the end was alone and his ethiopians friends were defeated. Now compare it to sh sharif He controls hiiraan all of banadir parts of shabeelada hoose majority of gedo Galguduud and ximan iyo xeeb and puntland and galmudug are allied to him He also controls the majority of bay region and parts of the lower juba. Now how much did yey control when he was forced to resign Sh sharif will be remembered for the first time in history xamar is under one admin New constitution new parliament he did well where cabdilahi yusuf failed admit it boy Stop lying, all Hiiraan is controlled by Ethiopians, Gedo = Ethiopians, Shabeelada = AMISOM, Mogadishu = AMISOM, 17000. Again during 2007, all of South Somalia was under 1 administration, before new Prime Minister and end of Geedi era, all of it. All of what you stated is controlled by Ethiopians, Kenyans or AMISOM. We began losing land after Nuur Adde started firing everyone, do not try and change history, yes he failed, but he was not given what Sheikh Shariif was given, 100s of millions, 17000 troops which he asked for in 2004. Don't try and change the history, that's qa ldaan mentality, so obviously I am not surprised. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0e/Somali_land_2007_01_12.png

  4. ONLF should go back to its old roots of WSLF to unite all the Somalis in the region if they want to have a say in the future of the region.

Gelinsoor to Cadaado. Baidoa, Afgooye, Balcad, Buur Hakaba, Wanla/weyn, elsewhere defended succesfully, Medina, Huriwa etc. In Kismayo as well. Jowhar he was invited but we are talking in 2007, who controlled it and defended it, remember all arms was confiscated, you are speaking lies over and over because that's all you got. Also, Sheikh Shariif has 17000 AMISOM troops, in 2004 Abdullahi Yusuf was denied this cause they thought it was military logic but they realised when Sheikh Shariif got in office who was the real opponents when he failed to win over Al-Shabaab. Also he has the support of Puntland, while Abdullahi Yusuf had Islamist and moryaan opponents. See, unlike the rest of you, we don't drag the country down with us in the name of qabiil. Look at Somalia now, Harvard graduate Abdiweli is fixing and is the most productive PM in 21 years. Fix up.
  6. It's in Djibouti's interest that there's no Somaliland to compete with. It has the potential to become the only 'service' driven industry in the region, a Malaysia of sorts. It's a dry and resourceless land, I am glad they are developing it to this standard. It should work on transportation between it and Ethiopia.
  7. Here, this video shows it. You don't know what you are talking about, I bet you don't know what happened next, Xaaji Xunjuf, I am disappointed with you.
  8. No, you are wrong Abdullahi Yusuf was there in 2005, Jowhar, Baidoa which was temporary capital. Sheikh Shariif won't switch sides, he's not like you think, it's not for the kursi but who can manage the kursi best. And you are wrong. They controlled Jowhar, Buur Hakaba, Wanla/weyn parts of Bay, Balcad and Afgoye which we held without Ethiopian support, as well as Medina, we were fighting in Hodan we were in Kismayo and other places. So you wonder why what happened in Laascaanood happened, you took advantage of the situation!
  9. Conqueror;859162 wrote: President of Somalia? lol Seriously, do you believe that? Do you know the definition of "President"? Heck, AY didn't control 3 kilometers of Mogadishu when he was there with 20+ Ethiopian troops. But, let's not delve into that. Don't want to ruin your day. Sheikh Shariif is president with 17000 AMISOM, Ethiopian troops, Kenyan troops and soon Sierra Leone? However, Abdullahi Yusuf in 2007 had all of South Somalia, Sheikh Shariif and his lot in the Kenyan border, we all know history so stop your bias. It was in early 2008 and Nur Adde's reign it went downhill and we lost a lot of regions because of his dismissals.

People on this board could confirm my age, but we don't need to divert attention here. You have a known track record of munaafiqnimo, I therefore hope you start sticking to some principles, I repeat principles, since the word must be new for you. Editing your comments do not give you a better comeback.
  11. Abwaan, you couldn't argue your case if your life depended on it, so cheer lead people who make it for you, it's in your DNA after all. No one is upset, I'm simply making my case exposing hypocrites, we've already exposed your support for Qeybdiid but not the TFG, that is munaafiqnimo.

  13. Chimera;859082 wrote: ^The old saying: 'Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people' seems to apply to you Elpunto. The opening of all those derelict economic assets is a historic fact, it doesn't matter how filthy Indocadde's laundry was, the aforementioned precedents still happened. I cannot dismiss the current TFG just because dubious individuals like Sakin, and others are still clinging on to power. The structure itself - filled with competent patriotic Somalis trying to revive the country - is what I support and this sentiment was the same with the ICU, but not Al-Shabaab, who are unredeemable. What they became post-invasion has no bearing on the fact that they weren't so in 2006. The ICU was a movement with thousands of members, majority of the courts consisted of various individuals from Somali society, be it teachers, scholars, businessmen, community leaders that are non-existent in the structure of the current Al-Shabaab that is a demonic plague legitimizing its rule through brutal taxation and forced recruitment. A person that disagrees with the invasion that brought Al-Shabaab to the foreground in 2006 and discredited the entire aforementioned societal body is not a 'hypocrite'. One could negiotate with the ICU, but one can't with Al-Shabaab as various attempts have shown. The situation in 2006 could have been resolved peacefully through better statesmanship and a visionary approach, but all of that was rendered obsolete the moment those foreign troops entered the country. Now their presence is a reality, and one we have to deal with, but when I point out that the ICU was a thousand times better than Al-Shabaab, I'm closer to the truth than those that parrot the idea that Abdullahi Yusuf was a nationalist with Somali interests at heart. The dubious histories of the leaders aside, the organisation itself was similar to those currently in power in Egypt and Libya, and if Israel or Algeria were to dislodge those groups and more extreme versions were to replace them, would the Libyans and Egyptians be hypocrites for opposing those invasions and then accepting reality as it is? No, but they will keep pointing out the differences between the Muslim brotherhoods and the extremists each time someone tries to paint them as one and the same. Actually no one could have negotiated with them, one could have negotiated with the ARS, which was led by Sheikh Shariif. In 2006 the ICU rejected negotiation. You believe it was bad to fight them then but good to fight them now even though the leaders of the group are still the same, even though it's still the same fighting wing. Then you by default term this government and Sheikh Shariif to have no Somali interests at heart. Thank you and goodbye.

  16. I wonder what the south has ever offered Puntland yet we stayed in 21 years of moryaan mayhem.
  17. They were popular in Mogadishu, there's no arguing against that. Their downfall was expanding into other parts of Somalia, even Abdullahi Yusuf welcomed the ICU in Mogadishu until they started going to Baidoa, it was when they captured Jowhar it was a problem. If they cared, they should have stayed and build Mogadishu.
  18. Mooge;859064 wrote: oh the innocence. macalin ceyroow and his alshabab was the most powerful wing which controlled the agenda of the ICU. somalia had its first suicide bombing in Baidoa under the ICU before abdulahi yusuf even lifted a finger and was holed up in baydhabo. it is all in the books. i agree with you let us not rewrite history. past is past. let us move on. It was their whole fighting wing, they are trying to change history. Remember Ceyrow was killed first for a reason.
  19. Chimera;859060 wrote: The Islamic Courts Union WAS NOT Al-Shabaab! The ICU were 13-15 courts, with Al-Shabaab constituting only one court, with little to no power. The ICU was what the Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt is today, the Somali Spring predated the Arab Spring by five years, only to be squashed by a paranoid America. The situation of today where Al-Shabaab is a filthy anti-Somali organisation filled with foreigners, and one of the 5th richest terrorist group as a result of the illegal invasion can't be compared to the ICU period, who were pro-Somali and whose rule is majoritely characterised as a popular grassroots movement providing stability, opening various derelict economic outlets such as the seaports, airports and the destruction of the bloodsucking warlords. However in hindsight, I believe they should have never risen to power, because they had no friends internationally in the Bush era and the consequences of their removal would have extreme dire effects on the country for years to come. But let's not rewrite history! ICU's most pre-eminent leaders are Al-Shabaab. Hassan Dahir Aweys - Head of Advisory Committee (Today Al-Shabaab) Fuad Shangole - Head of Education (Today Head of Puntland branch) Mukhtar Robow - Security Branch (former Emir, Spokesman, Deputy Leader of Al-Shabaab) Hassan Turki - Head of Ras Kamboni Brigade (Aligned with Al-Shabaab) Only Sheikh Shariif, Indhacade and an Addow left. You think the ICU was an organic group that didn't have foreign support? Lol
  20. Very good post! This was a bit annoying: 53RV35
  21. Faroole keeps it nice and simple. GAROWE, Somalia Aug 21 2012 (Garowe Online) – Puntland President Abdirahman Mohamed Farole sent his condolences to the family of Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Meles Zenawi who died from illness, Radio Garowe reports

  23. Why, what's the difference, we have a different president so we must conform to different national interests. Our current president who switches side and gets his clan on his side, he's not a hypocrite, but the man who stated his objective from the beginning is the hypocrite, Lander is ironically nothing more than a qabilist, if somehow Sheikh Shariif has the national interest at heart now even though he's doing the exact job of his predecessor.
