  1. Just came back this morning to what i perceived to be my home but unfortunately i don't feel i can relate to it as it cold, soggy and depressing. i cant believe I'm back to this dump. my life is over.
  2. i'm leaving this hell-hole facade tomorrow Nuune. Just yesterday, Mansoor hotel, who provide electricity for my area cut off the lights of my house(which i now rent because i was kicked out of my last house lol) because the neighbours (what neigbours? i live in the middle of a farm) complained of indecent and culturally inappropriate behaviour. there is no democracy here, nor any respect for human rights, personal space and privacy. there was scuffles involving my friends and the mansoor employees. this is the most backward, primitive and god-forsaken land i've ever been too, lived in and worked in. its hell on earth.
  3. well, that depends on my circumstances. happiness is two fold; on one hand its about having worldly provisions but also being in state of spiritual harmony. the latter is a little skewed off late since Ethiopian New Year in Addis.
  4. postmodern hyperbole! moving to somaliland has made me happy. changing ones environment is the ultimate key to everlasting happiness.

Join me in this joyous occasion and send me your congratulations and warm wishes. cheers. Its off! the chances of marrying a local girls are minimal now. I feel a sad sense of shame even contemplating such a ludicrous idea.
  7. i 've been to a few of Adan Siiro surmons and he spreads a message that is pragmatic.
  8. i dont need to explain myself. stop being a self-hating apologist. Mogadishu is a hell-hole, its been starved of any development, while burco has changed beyond recognition. i was very impressed on my recent travels there. i would however advise burco city council to have economic intergation policy, there is no need to have two markets serving the city's diverse community.
  9. not surprising given the state of somalis in the uk. criminality is ingrained in their genes.
  10. burco is clearly more organised than that war-torn hell-hole.
  11. mashallah sayid. i suppose its a double celebration as i'll be seeing my mother on friday for the first time in a year, nine years less but all the same.
  12. its a wonderful afternoon in hargeisa. got just two days left before i go back home to my family and friends. glad to be leaving this hell-hole facade.
  13. Thanks VAL, This is just pathetic. i tried to use the IMG thing and it doesnt work. Pictures and videos features just dont seem to work. This site is not user friendly. I cant upload any pictures or videos. My posts are nothing without pictures and visual evidence.
  14. This thread will longer be updated. SOL is useless, its not user friendly. How the hell can i upload pictures and videos on this site.
  15. shock horror! the somali race is been destroyed.
  16. isnt happiness a state of mind? can happiness ever be achieved?
  17. all this new hyperbole of new TfG gaining momentum is nonsensical. education was never disrupted.
  18. when all is said and done, somaliland still remains independent. the facts are on the ground. to all those somalilandiid, lets at the very least accept some facts and work on our common interests.
  19. honestly, the country of queen elisabeth and king phililp 'has gone to the dogs' to use but one english idiom. freedom of speech is been curtailed. sayid - the somali andy townsend, this pointless and inappropriate thread is lacking in purpose. i troll all the time and i certainty dont look like a freak. who feeds you these cliches-ridden and pathetic jokes, i bet you crack similar jokes over Green King IPA in some parts of gentrified southwark.
  20. in djibouti on my to the ethiopian new year celebrations in addis.
  21. dont be so absurd. what nonsense Som@li. its already been suggested but its the real deal this time round.
  22. Hi All. Thanks for your warm congratulations. Its been an amazing couple of weeks. I'm thinking of having a traditional 'under the tree' ceremony as its more authenic and consistent with her upbringing. The 'Mrs' is one of those daqan aan dorfin, but we seem to get along quite well. She is a little passive, but thats exactly how I want it. atleast its better than a foul-mouthed miss independent proposing we sign a pre-nup. i think it'll be an interesting partnership and she understand her role perfectly, anything else would be considered surplus to requirements. the wedding should happen after I've met her uncles in the sheikh highland and negoiated the mehr. I'm not entirely sure where we'll go for our honeymoon but I've suggested Addis, although that might be a little tricky as she doesnt have a passport. my mother doesnt seem to agree with my plans. she said that ''naag'' will 'destroy me' but i've already told her that its none of her business, anyways she's in london. god, i cant stand people interfering in my business. her family seem very happy and they're are convinced that i'm a translator with the UNDP rule of law programme. already, i've been attacked by several old temptresses who want to sabotage my happiness. people are so jealous of me, what did i do to deserve all this hatred bal?
