The great Health debate: is Sunshine a miracle cure? (by The Guardian)
N.O.R.F replied to Abu-Salman's topic in General
Interesting. The illnesses in our qurbo communies could be due to, mainly, an inactive lifestyle (I'm talking about the older folks here). Poor diet of rice and meat, too much tea, too much sitting around and a lack of sunshine could all be reasons. Back home you will see elderly folk of 80s+ who are active and still running around. Genetics and lifestyle. -

Guys, instead of pictures and videos why don't you have a criteria? Try: 1. Roads 2. Electricity 3. Airport 4. Water supply 5. Commercial activity 6. Reported crime 7. Construction activity 8. Retail space 9. Hotel rooms 10. etc etc Naga daaya

Myself and Ngonge saw Alpha the day before he was to visit Burco. He was edgy and kept looking over his shoulder before mentioning he was due to visit the city the following day He decided to write the above before leaving his comfort zone. Dhaqan celiskii la sheegi jiray weeye. Alpha, we had a bunch of guys from DFID and UNDP with us last night. They stated quite the opposite. They had a quick and reliable internet connection for a start, they were not worried about their cars being messed with and they had access to water anytime of the day Now, ignore politics and give us your real take badowyahow Ps the wadaads here have done a good job on the qaad front

Congratulations and all the best Alpha. Enjoy the shin dig at Maansoor.

^I know. I just want to, in my non-scholarly way, highlight just how much they bend, skew and jump when actually confronted about their beliefs. Can someone who doesn't know what he is rejecting be taken seriously? Johnny B;820005 wrote: Experience tells me that we've been here before , namely where you agree with me that disbelieving in a claim that lacks evidence is all-right , but at the same breath demand it's negation too to be proved with evidence, otherwise the negation itself must be disregarded or disbelieved. Now, if you pay attention, I'd like to thread the ground so hang on here . Case 1: A states that a Deity by the name Akea rules the universe. - -> A Belief. B states that another Deity by the name Eingana rules the Universe. --> Another Belief. Here disbelieving in Akea's rule of the Universe due to lack of evidence doesn't per automatic make belief in Eingana's rule of the Universe more right/correct, it simply doesn't follow. An evidence for Einganas rule of the Universe is equally demandable. case 2: A states that a Deity by the name Akea rules the universe. - -> A Belief. B states that Akea's rule of the universe lacks evidence. - -> A Disbelief. Here disbelieving in Akea's rule of the Universe due to lack of evidence is already the position of B. Now demanding an evidence for an evidence that Akea's rule of the Universe lacks evidence is simply wrong. B is the negation of A , and as long as there is no evidence for A , B remains necessarily true. So B is an Agnostic

Johnny boy, its one thing to disbelieve in a claim due to, as you say, a lack of evidence but quite another to believe in the opposite of that claim without any evidence Sound reasoning I'm sure

^can we do away with quotes from others and concentrate on the topic ie the verses given by Maadeey? Do you disagree with his explainations? If so, why? etc etc
