  1. I have been guilty of only eating what I know. Somali, Lubnaani/Shami/Gulf, Indian and at a stretch Thai (only a few dishes). Oh, and good old fish and chips. You can keep the rest. Spent a week in Malaysia and only ate Arab food
  2. Hmmm, a Somali Spring against decisions made in Nairobi? I have seen the delays in decisions being made because of waiting for someone to come from Nairobi only for that person/organisation to delay it again. Having said that, is there really any point protesting if there isn't a ready alternative?
  3. Berbera airport is actually better because its larger. There isn't an arrivals hall but the departure lounge is comfortable with plenty of seat, A/C and free wireless Hargaisa is good as well. As for the service, there really is no difference.
  4. A couple of days ago I asked for muus when eating in a Yemeni restaurant. I thought they had bananas but found out the African guy I saw eating rice, meat and banana went to the grocery shop next door to get one Afrikaan asli'a

  6. ^Are you sure? Thought it was only about 3 weeks you've had feet on Somali soil
  7. Actually, it was a general comment. Only those with the skills required for the country to develop should be allowed in (doctors, engineers, nurses etc). Investors as well. Asylum seekers also. I also think that duel nationality for qurbojoog Somalis should have a process. They must have been in the country for at least a month in their lifetime
  8. Do you mean my xenophobic comments?
  9. ^I know. They're usually laws passed through parliament (those laws don't exist in Somalia), procedures put together by for example the Home Office or Border Agency (not done in Somalia) Wax fahan!!!!!! All that work
  10. 5/1 Tuujiye will be a City fan by next weekend

  12. Ngonge, who is complaining? All I see is you labeling everyone xenophobes/xenophobic etc for merely stating what you already agree with. Wax fahan There is a difference between complaining and commenting
  13. Ngonge, you still don't get it. This isn't about opposing anyone and everyone other than Somalis becoming a citizen, this is about allowing the RIGHT people to gain citizenship (just like in the country you reside in).
  14. I wasn't complaining. You got the wrong end of the stick
  15. InshaAllah saxib. I just hope we have real visionaries and decision makers in the right places when the time comes.
  16. 1. Planning Laws 2. Planning Departments 3. Approval of plans 4. Departmental alliances and information sharing 5. Procedures 6. Tendering 7. Issue Contracts 8. Build 9. Database storing plans, construction drawings, operation and maintenance manuals for future use
  17. Waa markaagii I, and others on this site, went through a PROCESS. This process is governed by laws, rules and criteria. Within those laws, an asylum seeker, an investor and a skilled migrant is accepted as a citizen having met the criteria of x number of years stay, work or investment. The visa process you mentioned above aligns with that same process. So what exactly are you saying, saxib?
  18. ^Very true. The manager will take a good long hard look at himself. He won't admit it publically (nor should he) but I will give him another season. Kenny is Kenny. The will stick with him for another half season. If things don't change and we don't get the results he will be off. We need 3 or 4 top player. I hope he buys better more technical players who can dominate and change games on a regular basis and I hope he gets rid of Carroll. Sadly I think he will be given another season as well.
  19. Juxa, what is the reaction when they change their names within a couple of weeks of receiving naturaliation? Within the legal community.
  20. ^It does matter. I'm talking about economic migration. You're mixing the two. Refugees from across the border are likely to be Somalis and they're welcome. If they're not Somali and are fleeing persecution and remain in the country for a length of time that would be fine also (unless their country is stable again before the 5 years requirement). Sheltering refugees is an international requirement anyway. Economic migrants who do a job we lack the necessary numbers for should be given the chance to become citizens. Thats fine. What I'm opposing is letting every Tom, Dick and Harry enter the country and be allowed citizenship 'just because'.
  21. Our eldest, now that she knows about age, years, time and birthdays, keeps my age quiet (until recently she thought I was 11 )
  22. With grey hair and a slow walk maybe
