  2. The Aussie accent is the 2nd most annoying after the American one,,,,, Is Joe Mangal still alive? Best Aussie ever!
  3. Thanx for the update boys, i have decided not to have any hope for England, i will not raise my expectations! Soma, what games are you going to see? I shall be travelling back on the 14th June IA, to see family yes but mainly to catch the world cup games with the lads
  4. All these theories of who would benefit from the recognition of Somaliland are just lame. Do we have any articles concerning the progress or lack thereof of the TFG? Or the on-going tensions in the South? The failure to resolve problems in the past 18 months or so? Why are the people still suffering from warlordism? Why is peace and stability is still a far cry away? Why is aid to the hungry being taken? Why is there no security? Why is there disagreement? etc etc etc Being pre-occupied with Somaliland will be to the detriment of the so called 'nationalists'. This failure in prioritising and seeking to better the environmnet with which the people are living in, will be the un-doing of the TFG and its supporters. One must create an environment in the hope of gaining some sort of credibility first as there is a distinct lack thereof. cheer on,,,,,,
  5. Man these new re-juvenated teams are tough
  6. Less than 2 months boys,,,, whats the latest in the England camp, i'm missing alot of pre-world cup hype over here
  7. Kudos to Pace magazine for holding a neutral position on the issues involving Somaliland. A very enjoyable read covering the visit home, the Govnt TV station, the false notion of nation-hood (which was started by Somaliland, an objective look at the 'real' reasons why TFG Prime Minister Geedi stated a Somaliland recognition can be acceptable, the 'unity' campainers and their shortcomings,,,, bravo i say take this to the politics and lets discuss
  8. Suldaan asks: Mohamed Saciid, whether you like or not, is a man who hails from that region. And just like others who are in Biadoa, he has his own opinions about what is going on in that part of the region. Now, ma waxaad leeday, just because he is a minister in Somaliland, he has no say in it? Dont forget he is the sports minister saxib, so lets deviate away from the conflict and have a pop at the minister and SL  . A sports minister who is part of an elected govnt i might add. Talker says Secondly, on the SL side, this is strictly a border policy issue, is it not? Strange that the "sports minister" is tapped on the back to speak on behalf of SL gov't. The reason: his sub-clan lives in Sanaag! Some "democracy," If you are against him speaking on the issue, does that not contradict your "the lands of Sool of Sanaag belong to tribe X and therefore SL has no right to it" argument. Or is it in the name of 'nationalism' again? Try to be more consistent in future, you are being watched carry on,,,,
  9. According to many Muslims and the general biblical account, it all started when Ham , a son of prophet Noah, found his father drunk and naked in his tent and told his brothers, Shem and Japheth about it. Many muslims?
  10. My dissertation was 2000 words over the limit but the more the merrier as the saying goes,,,,

  12. Some surprising results tonight  My opponent played a very defensive tactic and it worked
  13. Ironically they are the same ones ridiculing today's leaders! Yet at onetime supported a murderous dictator, who destroyed Somali unity. Its all in the name of 'nationalism' saxib,,,,, Barre: As you know, the British are fomenting trouble . They do not accept the fact that Italy has special ties with Somalia Ahh the old line thrown to his followers at the time, no mention of a lack of Inrastructure, investment, jobs, education, imprisonment etc etc
  14. Nuune, i think the article holds alot truths whether its written by SL Media or not. E.G With Abdillahi Yusuf and his premier Ali Mohamed Geedi spending much greater time on attending regional and international conferences abroad than on addressing the imperative domestic problems existing at home, the impression that the TFG was an externally-led enterprise stuck in the minds of the overwhelming majority of Somalis. So how a government that has no credibility among its own people can be trusted with a multi-million aid package? Secondly, the TNG has since its formation on October 2004, been reluctant to initiate any reconciliation efforts whether at community, regional or national levels, claiming all the time that this issue was dealt with during the Nairobi peace talks. People get slaughtered by the hundreds in Mogadishu and the TFG doesn’t make the slightest move to mediate even a short term truce. Parliamentarians are called to meet in Baidoa and no attempts are made to explore the ways and means for realizing an enduring peace through reconciliation. Any comments anyone?
  15. What do you guys think of this editorial in the SL Times? The EU’s Warlordism EDITORIAL The European Commission’s announcement on last Wednesday of providing political support and 70 million Euros in aid for propping up the “Transitional Federal Government†of Somalia shows how the European Union’s policy for this region is completely estranged from the reality on ground. There are at least three main solid reasons why the EU’s decision embracing the TFG, is a great misunderstanding of the situation in Somalia and a clear misjudgment of the remedies that Somalia actually needs. First, the TFG hasn’t yet gained the trust of most Somalis who still view it as an entity crafted outside Somalia by foreign powers namely the EU and IGAD. That impression has been perpetuated by the consistent demands by Abdillahi Yusuf, the TNG president, for the deployment of foreign troops in the country to disarm the Somalis on his behalf (not to mention the notoriety Mr. Yusuf had earned among Somalis in the past as a power-thirsty dictatorial warlord). With Abdillahi Yusuf and his premier Ali Mohamed Geedi spending much greater time on attending regional and international conferences abroad than on addressing the imperative domestic problems existing at home, the impression that the TFG was an externally-led enterprise stuck in the minds of the overwhelming majority of Somalis. By rewarding a government that obviously has no commitment whatsoever to make peace among its own people with € 70 million, the EU has in practical terms shown that it was interested only in a military solution of the crisis in Somalia through the deployment of foreign peace enforcers. Thirdly the disbursement of direct EU aid for the TNG will be tantamount to an endorsement by Brussels of Abdillahi Yusuf’s claims on Somaliland territories in eastern Sanag and Sool. By giving money and diplomatic support to a man who until now encourages his militiamen to make incursions into Somaliland and commit atrocities against its people, the EU has again chosen the option of siding with bellicosity rather than peace and democracy. No wonder that in Mogadishu, the EU has already earned itself the new name of “Somalia’s White Warlordâ€. -------------------------------------------------- What is the EU's agenda?
  16. Waryaaraheen, could you please elaborate on the reasons for the response and who Mr Duale is?
  17. Man Utd to win the Premiership? "Everyone expected them to beat Birmingham and they didn't," said Ferguson, whose side face Chelsea away in the penultimate game of the season. "They still have to come to Bolton and they have got to go to Blackburn. It could be difficult for them." Fergie
  18. Glad to see you all rejoicing at the violence in Sanaag, cheer on,,,,
  19. The issue here is not whether Somaliland is recognised or not but rather the work people can do for themselves if the right surroundings are provided/accomplished. Many investors are going home to invest in their's and their children's future and this article highlights that. Take the recognition question to the bolatiks section bleees.
  20. Peace and stability brings prosperity  Good article facklexm!
  21. ^^thats greater Manchester mate infact i havnt missed one team, got the division wrong for brentford and leyton though
  22. You will need to ask mr Rocko aka Massa J The English League has many division in the following format The Premiership The Championship 1st Division 2nd Division The top 3 teams in each lague are promoted to the league above while the bottom 3 are relegated to the division below. The top 4 in the premiership go to the European Champions League which is what is being dicussed in another thread. There are usually 20 or 22 teams in each league, making it 96 team in total throughtout the whole league (i think). London has many team in all 4 divisions. I will try to list them and what division they are in but i may be mistaken. Premiership Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Charlton, West Ham, Fulham Championship Queens Park Rangers, Brentford, Crytal Palace, Millwall 1st Division Leyton Orient cant remember the rest but i'm sure the other nomads can help. Here
  23. Emirates especially men are very lazy, yet the government is imposing laws on firms in which they have to recruit them to management positions. So if you don’t mind seeing guys who are less skilled and less motivated than you get promoted by the click of a finger then its your place Emiratisation is taking hold saxib, 50% of all employees must be a 'wadani'. This is more detrimental to the Indian work force more than the westerners. I would just advise you all to seek work in a British/US/Canadian Company, Arab companies can give you the sack at anytime without good reason. Khayr, google search you job title followed by ME or Dubai and see what comes up. Most of the Agencies do not charge a fee but make sure your CV is spot-on!
