Well they trusted Dalglish with all that money and he didn't deliver. They can't keep on buying players when the ones they bought haven't done a thing of note yet. We will do well against Utd and Arsenal but not so well against City. We will see where we are after 10 games.
-
I think he does (against most teams). We're not talking CL quality but enough to challenge for 4th. Half way through last season we were 5th and 2 points off 4th then Lucas got injured, the cup wins came (gas taken off league performances) and the Suarez suspension started. With more focus and hopefully no major injuries (and a big win here and there) we can get 4th. Borini looks good and did well in Italy. Anyone who can get goals in Italy has a good chance of doing the same in the prem. Waar just watch baan ku idhi.

I don't think he thinks we can play like Barca in his first season in charge and with those players. We will dominate teams as usual but with a bit more guile and better finishing (Borini), we can do it. I think Chelsea and Spurs will be fighting for 4th as well. Not sure about Arsenal. I think they will get the usual 3rd spot and celebrate like they've won a cup

^Isn't this the same team you predicted would win the league (or was it fourth place)? I wish it was Rafa but just wait and see adigu (Sahin and Tello to sign this week). We will surprise many people.

^Doesn't mean you will win anything Bold prediction time. Liverpool to get a CL place.

Any actual historical references on where the name Soomaal came from? That would be a start. The emotional 'waa siday tahay' posts don't help either. Welcome Dr Baraxoow.

Great games. The athletics was fantastic. Well organised and the BBC presented it well (that red button was awesome).

Quite true El Punto. Its difficult getting to and from the xaram in all that chaos. Makka really does need a face lift with better transport links and an organised road system. Raula, the cranes in the new pics are part of an ongoing extension.

Taoufik Makhloufi (Algeria) won the 1500m gold. He is coached by Jaama Karaciin.

When a Conservative MP derided Danny Boyle's Olympics opening ceremony as "multicultural crap" he was met with a cascade of criticism from people who knew that he could not be more wrong. Tomorrow, their point will be driven home when Mo Farah, the Somalia-born British long-distance runner, steps up at the Olympic Stadium, cheered on by two countries of fans. Farah, 29, will compete in the men's 10,000-metre final – an event he took the silver medal in at last year's World Championships and for which he holds the European track record. It will mark the culmination of an extraordinary journey from the streets of Mogadishu. Farah's story serves as an inspiration, both in his country of birth, where his charity, the Mo Farah Foundation, feeds thousands left hungry by the famine, and in the UK. "Mo means so much to young Somalis," said Yussef Ahmed, the co-ordinator of Islington Somali Community Group. "Somalis usually come to the UK as refugees and their biggest concern is how to settle with a different culture and language. It can be difficult and many young Somali men lose their self-esteem and some turn to crime and anti- social behaviour. But in the past five years things have begun to improve – and Mo has been a part of that. He has been a role model." Farah was brought to England at the age of eight by his father. At 11 he moved to Feltham Community College, where his talent was spotted early on by his PE teacher, Alan Watkinson, who recalls meeting the ungainly boy who could only speak a few words of English. "He was clearly extremely talented. He had a huge stride length and an effortless running style," Mr Watkinson told The Independent. "Young Somalis think 'I could do that'," said Mr Ahmed. "He represents everything that they might achieve in any walk of life." http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/olympics/athletics/team-mo-farah-get-ready-for-somali-joy-8002323.html

Wow Adam. Great stuff. This is the type of history lesson we could all do with (and should be taught in schools). May just give the country a better identity and a sense of purpose.

Some great headlines. Off to the shop to buy all the papers. -
Not sure about Bolt. He looked rusty and nervous yesterday.

Maybe you don't want to spoil his party but your fascination with 'dark horses' and predictions is stretching it this time around.

I was jumping around like crazy He beat the Ethiopians who tried xaasidnimo tactics. Can't believe any self respecting Somali would root for the Ethios over Mo.
