  1. Castro is a tribalist, he doesnt like the TFG (for the right reasons) so he must be a qabil hater. Simple really, you must hate Yey's tribe if you hate the TFG! 1+1=3
  2. Funny thing is khalafow we are in agreement but being sad for the death of others is not exclusive of accepting the will of Allah (czwj) so one should not imply so.
  3. EDIT Khalaf, You were refering to us not to be sad as we are not sad for other Muslims then you switch to 'i accept whatever allah wills'. Nice feet
  4. oh cry me a river man, this is happening throughout the Muslim countries but somalis are saddened because it is closer to home? Erm yes, should we not be sad?
  5. TFG couldnt do it they brought the Ethios, Ethios couldnt do it they brought the US. All in the name of supporting the TFWG.
  6. Are warlords who extort, kill, steal terrorists? or are the people who brought about a semblance of peace to the south for the first time in 16 years? Talk of being blind folded by you know what,,,,
  7. Illahay hauwada naxaristo, amiin. Sad indeed, i didnt catch the news last night but my anger is not towards the gaals but the gaal raacs.
  8. You must take part in the process man but there are rumours someone is becoming friendly with with of our neighbours who want to install him a pres. Is that you?
  9. Did you read the last paragraph. Choose a region become elected (dirty tactics allowed) and then the chosen will do the choosing. Region 2 would suit you as i think you can deal with the farmers and khaat gangsters.
  10. I was looking forward to being invited to H-town but i guess your not going this year. Well it will depend on how i feel at the time of having some cash in pocket
  11. May, June, July, Aug - ie your winter
  12. I thinks its some sort of scare tactic. The times revealing an Israeli plot? Its easy to connect the dots.
  13. Region 1 An arid land inhibited by a proud nomadic tribe who oppose any external forces and influences. A recent survey (with the consent of the nomadic tribe of course) concluded that there are huge reserves of oil and gas in this region. Clients are queuing up! Region 2 A green land rich in soils for agricultural purposes and inhibited by proud farmers. These farmers have been persuaded in recent years to grow as much of the stimulant plant khaat as possible for financial purposes. This has made them wealthy and are now reluctant to grow other more beneficial crops. The khaat gangsters are also keen to protect their livelihoods. Region 3 A narrow and under developed strip along the east coast of SOL Country with huge potential for tourism along its white sand beaches. Currently a fishing region with stocks running short due to theft by bigger ships from wealthier countries. The coast guards have become corrupt and have been bribed into turning a blind eye to the goings on offshore. Region 4 A mountainous area rich in natural resources such as Zinc and Iron Ore with wide scale speculation of large deposits of gold and diamonds. This region is under developed with limited access via road. Past negotiations with the locals has yielded nothing, as they are suspicious of any road networks being built. They feel they will lose out, as they are powerless and uneducated. Region 5 A flat and dusty region with an old colonial port ripe for re-development to take advantage of the huge maritime traffic sailing by to ports in neighbouring countries. Region 6 A quiet and calm region where youngsters from other parts of SOL country come to be educated in Islam. However, the good names of the schools are being tainted by accusations of being radicalized. External pressure is building to close down the schools. The development of SOL Country is highly dependent on all regions working together to prosper. But who will run them you ask. This is were it gets interesting. A vote will take place this week so nominate yourselves for your desired region. A council will be formed who will then elect it’s president. Secretive meetings are allowed (via pm) but smear campaigns are not. A day is a year in SOL country and much can be done. Posed scenarios are welcome for the leaders of the regions to tackle. I nominate myself for Region 4.
  14. US get Ethios to invade with a promise of furthering the Ethio/US interests in the horn of Africa. Helping Somalis reunite was never discussed as that was contrary to the plan. The plan of keeping a warlord govnt in power which creates rivalry, unease and potential flare-ups in a strategically important part of the world. Weldone the Ethios indeed!
  15. ^^Amiin Thanks for the tips ya Djib
  16. My moral high horse is huge and i may find it difficult to get down from . I was refering to many a muslim who does not consider these sort of things as tests from Allah (swt) and the rewards for accepting, perservering and gaining rewards for it. If you want to put yourself in that category its up to you. But i also mentioned that it was easier said than done or did you miss that part? Are you saying the op was a necessity? If so, justify it with more than the sentimentally inclined jargon. As you understand the 'ethical' stuff along with the condition of the child etc etc

  18. Medics declared boy dead on the spot By Nasouh Nazzal, Staff Reporter Ras Al Khaimah: A Somali boy died after he fell into an open manhole in Al Muaireed on Wednesday. Two-year-old Abdul Qader Abdul Shakour Mohyi was with his mother late at night near the Qeba'a School when the accident happened, said a senior police officer. The officer said for a few seconds the mother did not notice she had lost her only son as it was dark and the boy did not cry out when he fell in the hole. After some time the woman noticed her son was missing and looked around and into the drainage hole. Her wails alerted a Pakistani taxi driver who rushed to help the woman. The officer said the taxi driver jumped into the hole and managed to get the boy out. The police were called, but the medics declared the boy dead on the spot. The body was taken by the police for further investigation. The Somali mother could not stop crying after the incident and had to be admitted to a hospital. The residents and neighbours of the Somali family said open manholes can be found everywhere in the emirate, but mainly in the Al Maamoura, Al Muaireed and Al Jolan neighbourhoods. Open manholes are especially dangerous in streets without lamps, they said. May allah ease the pain for the family, amiin link
  19. Well i have been known to post a random article or two or three so i thought why not just post in one thread where others can also post. We all read news wires on a daily basis Typical Arab response by the Bahrainis though,,,,,
  20. Bahrain athlete loses citizenship A Bahraini athlete who ran and won a marathon in Israel without permission has been stripped of his citizenship. Bahrain's sport authorities said Mushir Salem Jawher, who was born in Kenya but moved to Bahrain in 2003, had violated the laws of the country. Israeli media said Mr Jawher was the first athlete from an Arab country to compete in an Israeli marathon. Bahrain has no official ties with the Jewish state but Mr Jawher said he was "very proud" to have taken part. 'Shock and regret' "This is outside the rules and he went to Israel without telling anyone," Mohammed Abdul Jalal, the head of the Bahrain Athletics Association, told Reuters news agency. Following the race on Thursday, Israel's Jerusalem Post newspaper quoted Mr Jawher, whose original name is Leonard Mucheru, as saying Bahrain was a "free country" and "people should live together in harmony". "When I decided to come I didn't know it was history for me to be here, but when I arrived [i was] told no other athlete had competed in Israel. "For me, it was no problem and I hope to come back and compete next year," he said. In a statement issued on Saturday, the Bahrain Athletic Association said it had received news that a Bahraini national had competed in Israel with "shock and regret". A committee of sport and government authorities decided to strike Mr Jawher's name off the sport union records and revoke his Bahraini nationality, the statement said. It said Mr Jawher entered Israel with his Kenyan passport and that the runner had "violated the laws of Bahrain". Mr Jawher won the Tiberias Marathon in just over two hours and 13 minutes. link
