UAE funded mosque opened in Frankfurt Frankfurt - A 3 million Euro mosque built in the German city of Frankfort on generous support from Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler, UAE Minister of Finance and Industry and Al Maktoum Charity Organisation was opened here on Thursday. The opening function of the mosque named after the first caliph Abu Bakr Al Siddiq was attended by Mirza Al Sayegh, Director of Sheikh Hamdan's Office, Mohammed Ahmed Al Mahmoud, UAE Ambassador to Germany, Mohammed Ghanam, Secretary General of Al Maktoum Charity Organisation and a number of Arab and Muslim diplomats in Germany. The ceremony was also graced by representatives from the German government, Protestant and Catholic churches, German Socialist Party, Jewish Association in Germany and a crowd of Muslims in Frankfurt. The memorial plaque was unveiled by Mohammed Ghanam, Secretary General of Al Maktoum Charity Organisation. The mosque is expected to maintain a prominent leading role as centre for promoting Islamic culture and a meeting place for Muslim community in Frankfurt. Speakers praised Sheikh Hamdan for his noble gesture and scholars and clerics expressed their hope that the mosque would provide a bridge for cultural interaction and communication as well as a melting pot for social, intellectual and cultural contacts between followers of all faiths in Frankfurt. UAE Ambassador to Germany Mohammed Ahmed Al Mahmoud urged members of the Muslim community to integrate with the local German community, reminding that that Islam invites Muslims to interact and communicate with the environment they live in. There are 3.5 million Muslims in Germany of them 80,000 live and work in Frankfurt. Construction of the mosque commenced in 2001.The Islamic edifice is run by the Islamic Society in Frankfurt, a non-for profit organisation licensed as per the German constitution. The mosque can accommodate 1000 male worshippers and 300 female worshippers. The mosque houses a school for Quran memorisation and classes for learning Arabic and German languages. The mosque has an endowment facility of six-flat building whose revenues used to run the daily affairs of the mosque. (Emirates News Agency, WAM)

^^LoL, if you say so saxib. Where is part 3?
-
There you go again assuming things! One doesnt care for your opinion of him saxib. When push comes to shove, your earlier 'observations' on the ICU were somewhat simplictic, unfair and non-objectionable while you try to paint the perfect picture of the TFG and the Ethio occupiers. The question here is, is it worth my time debating with someone who has been blinded? Same reason why I dont bother with Duke. Hence why I have not bothered with your questions. It will only be a waste of time. Name call and try to adopt that 'superior than you' persona but I recall advising you to write in paragraphs rather than a line at a time (remember?). Simple minds indeed

Take full advantage was the Imam's message today. Pray in jamaaca as much as possible (even at Maqrib). Do not waste time with TV (he had a go at the Arab 'musasalo' which are huge in Ramadan). Charity and it virtues. Setting the tone early with the kids/family (a home and masjid routine) etc. This time next week might well be day two IA wa Allahu aclam.
