Actually, this identity malfunction was my topic of interest a few nights ago. What I wondered about is, 'could there really a Somali 'character' currently living that is anchored securely to an organic Somaliness that is least affected by external cultural erosions?' Couldn't think of one naturally. And to be quite honest, I don't see the point in extending the lineage of current Somaliness when its essence is already lost? Why have more children that carry the name 'Somali' when we know full well that the term itself has no depth? Topic: Toward Consensualist Somalism?

Africanqueen: I believe the breakdown of Society stems from the breakdown of families. The problem the white people are having now, is that both parents work, thus nobody is at home to teach the kids right from wrong. The education systemn takes the responsibility of teaching the kids, what parents failed to do so. When kids have nobody to look up to, the chances of them running to the streets looking for guidance is inevitable. So, Yes I understand where you're coming from, being at home can be very boring. But whats more important, your sense of fulfillment & wordly desires or your childs wellbeing and moral guidance. I choose the latter. Thank you very much. Considering the things you've written (which were delightful to read) and the beautiful logic inherent in your reasoning, I think you have a good insight for the details of it and a vital grasp of the bigger picture all from the vantage-point of the family. That itself should be good enough to make you the perfect wife. Forget the cooking for now, as it is 'mix of ingredients at the right temprature'. Better society needs better mothers and fathers.

Peasant: Listen, strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate of the masses, not from some farcicle aquatic ceremony! King: Be quiet! Peasant: I mean you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you! King: Shut up! Peasant: I mean if I went around, saying I was an emperor just because a moisten bink has lopped a cimeter at me, they'll put me away! King: Shut up! Will you shut up! (King man-handles peasant) Peasant: Aaha, now we see the violence inherent in the system! King: SHUT UP! Peasant: Oh, now we see the violence inherent in the system. HELP, HELP, I'M BEING REPRESSED! King: You bloody peasant! Peasant: Oh, what a give away! Classic stuff. Lol. You're welcome MAW.

But on a serious note, there really isn't anyone better to lead than Sharif when it comes to today's Somalia. I am sure the supporters of Al-Shabaab, or even those who kow-tow after adeer Yey, would say otherwise, but Sharif is doing the best any war-time leader could do to stablize a flammable situation. Having said that, I (that is personally) will oppose him if Ethiopians come back to Somalia like they did in 2006. I know there is nothing much he can do considering his current power-position, but he must atleast make some noise to voice his rejection of Ethiopian return. We shall wait and see.

^Waranle, Lol. As a familiar fixature in my local xaafad would say 'It's awww'rriight!" I think can I have gone through that phase of depreciation in regards to Somali literature before. However, I think one's state of mind at the moment (especially the political mood) can sully their outlook at all things Somali. Marka, Insha-Allaah, I will not stand before a pit-bull for now. I will, as it were, clear off and hope my clothes aren't red.

West v Mill Wall right now and all of Upton Park is closed up with riot police everywhere in Green St. They're coming from all over London. I fear it may turn out to be a nasty night. That means no night walk for me caawa.
