  1. Rayaana and Lucky, you guys sure u need others, it seems to be that all u need is eachother...lol. But, true say Rayaana i truly agree 110% with u sis. It seems all Somali teen gurls/guys wanna do is fit it, and be like the others. Don't they know that individuality is what maked us us. Hell with conformity!!!! I have some Somali friends and their ok..actually now that i think about it their either really religious or their really salutish, i like all my friends, but i find myself hanging with the religious ones more and more because i don't stand out with them and it doesn't look awkward for a bunch of "hijabies" to be walking togather as oppose to a hijaby with a bunch of non hijabies. Anyways it is the religious ones that remind me of Allah and what kind of convo is it if Allah is not mentioned ones, but B2k is mentioned every other sentence? Well, anywho that was my two-cent in this..cheers!!!

  5. lol...sure u don't!!! but i do totally agree with you on the whole media thing blaming the wretched women...we should pity her not banish her to the fringes!!! Anyways, i think its the media's ways to " calm" things down, they only blame one and welcome the other with open hands. Plus, Justin is such a big star even if he got blamed, what are they going to do to him..hate him...this whole scandle, if anything made him more of a women's man ( if he wasn't that already!!). What sickens me though, is how they would actually have the gulls to say it was all " unexpected" an " accident", yeah and my *** being black is an acceident!! Yeah, dude pulls the shirt..oppps..we weren't expecting the shirt to come off when u pulled it..sorry!!! Hell with it....guess she was looking for attention, a way to bring her back, and whats better than exposing ur right boob to the world, NOTHING!!! So, in conlusion, Janet honey, u got what u were looking for..media attention, why aren't u indulging in it!!!! lol...cheers y'all!!!!
  6. So many shitty things are happening in this world, shows how corrupt everyone is!!! Anyways i got this as an e-mail, and i thought i should share it with y'all. Tell me what you think of it, it trully did a number on me!!! Lying in her crib one star lit night How could she know of those planes in flight? She lay there quietly touching her nose, Watching her mobile, wiggling her toes, Oohing and cooing, so sweetly is she, Talking to someone, who could it be? In angel is standing with her in the room. The baby is smiling, unaware of her doom. The crib starts to shake and the mobile goes round. And suddenly comes a most deafening sound. The ceiling drops in, in a second or two ... On top of her crib so she ceases to coo ... No one knows how long she lie there Who thought about it? doesn't anyone care? Is she alive? is she dead? Is she in any pain? Now that you mention it, who knows her name? Her name is Amal. In English we say Hope. Crushed between the rubble, her tiny fingers start to grope. Where is my mommy? I love her so dear Come, get me mommy! It's dark in here! I'm scared and I'm hungry and I can't see my feet. There's blood in my mouth! Give me something to eat! Where is my daddy? Where's my big brother? It hurts when I breath! Where is my mother?! How long have I been here? Is this just a dream? I open my mouth, but can't even scream. That angel appears once again to my side, This time with a tear I plead Why have I died? Am I alone in my sufferings? No, there are many others. In our grief and our misery, we are sisters and brothers. Who are we? I ask you ... for what crime did we die? They're throwing a party! Doesn't anyone cry?! Is it True? Am I nothing?! How could it be? Don't they also have babies, just like me? It is war they say, of which death is part. How blind they've become, How hardened of heart. Did someone say hero? To whom do they speak? A victory claimed for killing the weak?! Why are they happy? Why are they proud? Don't they know that I'm cold in my burial shroud?! No war has been won; No ifs, buts, or maybes, They've Only Killed Babies!!!!
  7. Smooth..very smooth, u make me wanna cry and then laugh hysterically!!!! gOOd...a bit too goood. Keep it up...cheers!!!!
  8. Hey ppl, even though i wasn't in Somalia for a very long time, i have fond memories of what it used to be, and this is how i choose to remember MY SOMALIA!!! The country where i grew up in is not known to the world for its captivating, nor for its entertaining lights, but for the bloodshed and the corruption that took place for thirteen years. I am lucky, however, for i don't remember my country that way. I only remember the lush leaves, the freen grass, and the breeze that felt so good. I also remember the rising and the setting of the sun that was magnificently beautiful. that is how i choose to remember my country. It was a place pf peace and prosperity. A place where you didn't have to keep looking behind your shoulder all the time wondering whether or not someone was going to kill you. The lessons i learned in my country forever shaped my life. During my childhood, i saw my country go from good, to bad, to worse, but it is slowly coming back to how it used to be when happiness and harmony existed in the nation. the summers in my country were beautiful. The leaves covered every single branch of the trees. It was a place of relaxation for the grown-ups for they would just sit there and wonder about the world. For the children, however, it was a place of wondrous climbling. The higher you climbed, the thicker the leaves got. The leaves at the top of the trees were so thick and flat that you could see the veins very distinctly. The veins on the leaves looked like hundreds of rivers parting thier own way to form millions of tiny streams. The grass would grow green and lush. It would grow to such an extreme height that you would have to jump to see over it. Coconut trees dominated the banks near the river. they looked innocent, yet dangerous. They were the suppliers of coconut juice and toy bowls for the children. Occasionally one of those balls that hung up high on the trees would drop on you, leaving a rather big bump on your head. That happened to me about threes times. Two of those times was my brother kicking the tree!! Rain came with summer. It was expected. We only have two seasons: it was either extreme rain ro extreme dryness. It rained very hard during the rain season. We would be rushed inside and the rain would just pour down. It rained fast at first, but gradually slowed down. You would be able to hear the sound of the rain on the roof and its fascinating pattern of ra-ta-ta. When it finished, we would come out and the aroma would just hit you. The smell of fresh dew was so powerful. Summers were great back home. People would have been able to compare my country's greatness to anyother country around the world, but it seems now that the only country to compare it with is itself. Many years of war ruined the once precious soil. My country might not have been the best place to grow up when looking at it safety wise, but i learned many great htings, and the scenery ( it left) is still imprinted in my mind and will forever remain there. I still remember the clear night sky, the twinkling stars, and the massive moon with its silvery face glowing. My home country had a major impact on me, even if i didn't live there for a long time. My home country was everything to me and will probably remain that way. My home country was SOMALIA!!! SO...GUYS THIS IS HOW I CHOOSE TO REMEMBER SOMALIA, WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF YOU GUYS? TELL ME, HOW DO U CHOOSE TO REMEMBER SOMALIA?
  9. i must say it was a totall shock to see the horses, considering the fact that the post said for nerds; and there i was waiting for something nerdy to turn out, when the singing horses came up. It beautiful, i think the first 10 minutes were the funniest though. I would click on a horse and giggle to myself. My mom happened to be passing by when i was having my giggle- attacks, and she just stood there saying how here only daughter has gone mad!!!! True say though, i think i scared the living daylights, or more like night lights out of her. Keep up the nerdy work!!! cheers!!!
  10. i'm sorry but i don't know what u see in these shows. Not only are they really bad programming, but they are a total waste of time. Like the person before me said u should do something positve with ur life. Anyways, does it really matter. I mean our life isn't about which t.v. shows are better and which one you are hooked on rather what will help you in the next life to achieve eternal bliss!!!! Anywho, cheers!!!!
  11. LOL, like the poster i just started with this website, and i think its pretty cool. I used to be on somalinet and then this guy refered me to this site. I've been reading some posts, and everyone here seems soo..well how can i put.. well-educated. I feel i also have to be to everyone's level, but its nice to be around smart somalis for a change. I don't know if i have stated anything about myself yet, but here goes: i love Shakespeare- i consider the man a total genius, (as do many) but hey, he is right? oh, and i love white clothes, maybe because i'm obsessed with cleanliness, and well white is a symbol of cleanliness ( peace too, but oh, well!!). Anywho, cheers!!!!

  15. Ok i don't know whats wrong with the music industry these days, but everything seems so repeatative; its getting to the point where every song is like the one before it. Not only are the songs the same, but the music vidoes too. It sickens me to think that i actually used to consider this " art". All the vidoes either have naked girls dancing around watering people with bacardi ( or some alcoholic drink) or their half- naked, and i bet u if it wasn't for the censorship laws they would be naked!!! And the songs....the songs are all the same, they either talk about sex, drugs, or shooting ppl, and maybe, just if they feel like it they might through in something thougthfull ( even though that hardly ever occurs). And the reason why these people or shall we call them " artists" are making these SHITTY, yes, i repeat SHITTY " art" is because people actually like them!!!! I seriously don't understand, but whatever, there are things greater in life, other than music. I have sworn off of music, i seriously can't stand it any longer. Now, i know there is a point to my posting, besides me venting about the load of crab they call " art", and so my question then is.... is it just me or is the music out there all alike, i can't be imagining these things, right  ? hit me with the answers...and remember music is HARAM...lol. tsk tsk tsk!!!!!

  19. Hey Qac Qaac its been speculated that, he in fact did not write all those plays in such a short amount of time. Also, if you were to look at some of his plays its unlikely that he would know all the places and the little details, but lets face it , tis easy to point fingers at people, i say lets just take the man for what he was- a complete genius. I love the man, love all that he has written, eps his sonnets. Anyways, i was told the man was bisexual ( not that anyone needed to know), but what suprises me is the fact that all the great historical figures ( minus the religious ones) were presumably gay!!! i say people are just tryin to make it easier for us ( the mainstream peopulation) to accept the idea of "homosexuality". Anyways, I seemed to be blabbing about nothing, so i'm gonna stop. ~*~ Peace y'all ~*~ And remember " for there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so" - Hamlet ( the best play ever writtin!!!)
  20. It totally captured my interest in the beginning, so if anything u should be credited for your great intro!!! I didn't finish reading it, however, because i lack interest in anything politics related, especially when someone quotes the capitalist freak J.S. Mills!!!! Anyways i thougth the little i read ( three paragraphs) were great!!!!!! Keep it up, i guess.
