  1. garoweonline is the most elegant Somali news website around, and it is true all the others use too much colours and they are not one bit pleasing to the eyes. garoweonline its a nice site, well designed, modern, and visually pleasing --- but what about this site Somaliland.org, they actually archive everything.
  2. Yo, this resort looks  but lets not doubt someday we will build better resorts than that. We can have many beach front resorts, Somalia could actually be a good vacation spot, only if we can put our differences aside, and drop the damn guns.

Those are some nice pics, but Mobb_Deep when will you post some video footage from the trip?
  4. A good read to go with my morning coffee – this kind of literature is really wonderful. Ngone, made me. Your post reads like an unmitigated motivational speech, good observations, makes me want to change my bad habits and reevaluate my behavioural patterns. But, I do think many religious folks have bad habits and often times they use the religion to justify them. I think many non-believers have good habits. Can this be classed as 'plagiarism'? I think its classified as fair use, especially in today’s world information vital and it could mean life or death, I mean just look at pharmaceutical companies, and patents – I think every technology or idea that could improve humanity should be available for all in the universe, regardless of their financial status or class. I think this is a bad habit fueled by monetary gains – bad habits with inhumane outcomes are worst because their damage is maximized, than say individual habits.
  5. I thought the place was supposed to be peaceful, one of my mom’s relative got killed there recently, and they were trying to get the aano --- i’d say kill the person who kills no need to pay someone off, than if you think about it, everyone’s got a price on their head. Whoever kills should be killed, none of this compensation stuff, a life for a life.
  6. It sucks ---- my work consists of sitting in front of the computer for lotta hours in the morning. I seen this monitor where its powered by a cycling machine under your desk, you stop cycling your screen shuts off, you gotta cycle to view. I thought that was a great idea. I just can’t seem to find it at retail stores --- maybe its not out for the general public yet.
  7. ^^^^^ that’s bringing some memories back, but I was too young to remember or enjoy all that – but I doubt its looking that beautiful now, after the invasion of the somollies.
  8. unless they don’t mind ending up as fertilizer for some “progressive†nutcase's tomato garden. I doubt Somalis are that nice to bury you after they’ve killed you, its not in them to be that rational to make use of your body after death – but the nutcase might bring some tomato’s from the garden for a potluck. Nonetheless, I think the best way to get people interested in a summit meeting is to have them slowly meet up by word of mouth, I guess you can say invites only would be the best option. But I say that’s crazy, I don’t think people are that vulgar when you meet them, they just like acting out their civil disobedience fantasies online --- but just in case bring your burner, knife, baseball bat or a bodyguard. We’ll hold the meeting in a farm outside of the city, and people should bring their own name tags, just write your sol-name – and whoever has beef, they can settle it. We will be selling pop-corn on site as well – but bring your juice [no alcohol], but if you must, just put it in a coke bottle, if it’s a 40, put it in a brown bag.
  9. Montreal is a great city, you can find almost anything you need, we do have a great Muslim population here, people are friendly, except some Frenchies, but that’s only in the east end of the city. I just wish there were more Somalis in the city, I hardly see Somalis here, wish they were over populating this place --- I need Somali restaurants here, I don’t get to eat Somali food for months at a time. On the other hand, OTTAWA has many Somali restaurants, there’s Medina, another one on bank streets south, couple of more in the west end, I think one was called Hooyo Fadumo Some restaurants even have all you can eat rice!!!
  10. Dubai is the new NY, I think it’s the ideal place to live, and Somalia is very close – if you can get a good job there take it I say. Many Somalis there are living in horrible conditions thou,
  11. This event will be held in October, the date is not confirmed yet, but i would like to see sol-nomads in ottawa there for support, its for media awareness, and raising money for equipments such as computers and cameras.
  12. Zeph I dont' think i'm being bothered by 7 Meet ups can happen, I'm organizing a party/fundraiser in Ottawa soon, and i'm hoping many nomads from this site will show up.
  13. Like WOL said prepare for the after life, where you will not age, just imagine – or just get plastic surgery, face lifts, see a psychiatrist, get laid, laugh a lot, cry a little, work less, sleep more. That's the way
  14. Your firefox profile has been hijacked
  15. *save us* Music leads to dancing and dancing to touching. Of course no dancing unless we’re meeting at a club. On the rapist comment = either that or Prom night for Aqwaans. ah ha ha ha !
  16. Hakuna Matata means don’t worry for the rest of your day, its our problem free philosophy, hakuna matata – I think that’s how it goes
  17. I’m happy to see this, the website looks amazing and the shops look modern – I can’t wait to visit that mall sometime next year.
  18. Speechless, I can’t believe this is happening in today’s age. I wouldn’t care, I would let the young one get married, as for the old one, I’d say she should start looking for a husband, because I doubt anyone will come knocking all of the sudden. And why the hell would she agree to marry someone that is not in love with her? That’s some awkward stuff. I’m hoping that they get back together soon, if they were meant to be Allah [sw] will bring them back together.
  19. Where was the last great adventure your guys went on(if any)? To the grocery shop, did know they had so many cereal varieties. They even had an international food section, even an Israeli imported foods section. Didn’t even know there were so many cookies to choose from.
  20. I have been accused of being too consistent when it comes to being lazy. I’m not consistent with projects, assignments, personalities and I’m never on time. In relationships, knowingly I always screw up.
  21. Kreepy Kid By your description of the place, it sounds like a hippie getaway spot, however, many of us are not hippies, and you are right about Toronto, the people are too ruff, they think they’re gangsta, whatever that entails. Still, its too far to travel there, besides.. do you have any Somali restaurants there?
  22. Go Flower Power!!! What kind of flower? See a conflict can arise over the kind of flower that we're empowering.
  23. Unfortunately my mother is moving to Deadmonton in 2 weeks – hope to see nomads from there in December during the holidays. +++++ HOCKEY  Basketball maybe?
  24. LOL! @ 7 of 11 = 9 , 7+1+1 = 9 Hence 7 of 9 also two degree of separation, 7+1=8 + 1 = 9 ----- 7 of 9 do u belong to a secret society club? Ill Na Na are you sure that was a mistake?
