  1. I don't mind gender restrictions at all after all it is to keep any fitnas away.I personally prefer to pray in a jamaaca in a mosque even fajr prayer so i don't want to be inconvenience by the location of the hotel..I forgot about the pot-holes...haha

  2. Thanks MM.You are right I'm familiar with the Eastleigh of 1997/1998.I will talk to my brother about booking one of those places. Though my brothers wants me to stay home with them I still feel like I'll be crowding their place and probably making their wives go out of their way to accommodate me...I will definitely post my experience here.I'm excited and looking forward to spend time with family and old friends...

  3. Carafaat, ileen swahiliga waat taaqaan...I'll check that Royal out.I'm not familiar with anything after the 90's..Am guessing the place changed alot..Heck I may not even understand their Swahili lo.....I want to stay in a place with a Islamic feeling probably owned by Sheikhs or decent folks Insha-Allah....

  4. MM, I'm going there in a month Insha-Allah. Even though I'm familiar with the place very well its been close to fifteen years last I saw Eastleigh. Maarka where is the favorite spot to rent a hotel with a good security and I can pray my prayers in the mosque within a walking distance? I have brothers with their own houses in Park road and Kariakor, but I refused to stay in their place. I got used to my own space.I'm looking forward to meeting friends and families.I only have a month so I'll see how many places I can visit.

  5. Hope she saved some of that money since Uncle Sam will make her forfeit all the two million dollars she took per year! Uncle Sam don't play. They will confiscate every file, every financial record, everything except the furniture in her office.

According to the government, if you receive funds by fraud (or apparently in this case) or by overpayment by childcare or medicaid all they have to do is to prove a "dirty" dollar is connected. It is sufficient enough to say there was an ill-gotten $ and it was spent by you and next thing your *** is in jail

This sort of things happens mostly in healthcare where unnecessary procedure is done and billed.I have seen it with my eyes and all it takes is uncle Sam one day do some neat bookkeeping and your assss be on the radar.

  6. I'm sorry to say this, the first thing that meet the eye is a people that don't wants to work very hard, collaborate with one another , and prepare the way for a future in which they can create a healthy, safe, and free future for all Somalis. It is safe then to say the Winner-take-all mentality has emotionally compelled Somalis to consolidating and sustaining the country directions by how far each clan can milk out of the Mandeeq? No one wants to trust Mandeeq with any emerging visions that astray from their clan influence. No one is frowning upon or dismissing anyone that questions authorities elected to lead the country as long as it is in line with their clan advantage. It takes few minutes to feel the weight and the presence of clan influence in any Somali. All I see is people morally invested and politiclly engaged in clan politics.Within the contours of current political atmosphere Somalis is far from being victorious.

No one INK is dry or their voice dampen when their clan is in the equation. They will fight foot and nail to win an argument.Everyone wants to fire the rocket first.Just shows the utter hypocrisy of dillydallying that the country is unified.Somali crisis is definitive and sustained by CLAN

PS: Xiin, I think we all can read between the line lest our formal education failed us misreably. No one is saved here if anything I have many people in mind that needs some SAVING

  7. Minti,

To be fair to Somalia, the country, there is many holes to fill and many wounds to heal.I had my hopes high when the US finally recognized Somalia.I also had high hopes when Somali Parliamentarians appointed their president in a transparent way.I thought no longer were they sterile when it came to the world of following orders. But then my hopes got shut when my eyes squinted to read the last few days posting of the fine print between our resident pedestrian politicians in SOL.

There is a clear sense of disconnect between the parliament authority and the president office.A vacuity of sense exist here. This much is clear to me after reading ALL the pedestrian political talks here that Somalia was in a deep coma, but one that was on its way of getting a defibrillator kick soon or later. When I was arguing for the arms embargo I was coming from national sovereignty and independence country angle.I was also crowning a piece of rare jewelry found in Somalia called a government! My believe was the country has a government and a parliament that can spell out the directions of major decisions.Having said all that it would be unfair to place all the blame on the president only as he should also be answerable to the parliament that elected him. What are they doing is the question?

  8. For all the dissolution of the false solidarity you will think this country will finally gets its act together!Same question I was asking Ngonge in the other thread.Much is happening in Somalia these days, all under the radar of the new government Parliament. While in the papers they exist, in reality they are not any different from the pedestrian politics we read here everyday. Why can't the representative from different regions (thought we were told they are representative of every region) have the luxury of picking and choosing the direction of the country if the president is deemed clinically deranged when it comes to running the country effectively?

  9. Carafat, Mario was just joking.Read your flawed and hasty conclusion again. I'm NOT Somali like others on this site, but I can still point out hypocrisy.May I say maybe sometimes you guys NEED someone to rescue you guys from the demagoguery of Somalinimo mantra.I doubt you have the authority to define the boundaries of the Somali domain.Without seeing Somali in a different context than your myopic ways it is difficult to define what Somalinimo is for you!

Be that as it may, you are equally aware of the fact that maybe one doesn't need to be Somali to point out the the raping of the country by the Somalis you are proud to exclude others from.Your romamticism of Somalinimo is the most dangerous of sort that folks like us need to point out to you guys once in awhile when you engage in deceit and hypocrisy! Most of you guys that jump with the "You are NOT somali giberish" have some sort of innate insecurities with the way you present your clan politics hypocrisy!

  10. Oba, keep the image of Mogadishu safe and who knows every Somali will be proud to visit one day, but as long as the stigma of killing continues people will look for other options.

PS I honestly had no idea what IRIRISM was until I asked someone in real life and he told me to STOP reading clan websites lol

  11. Odey, I'm as ignorant as one can be in this issue.I was once told this was an issue of charcoal and who can manage the city business. But it seems there is many power players here. and it is all about forming a regional state.I guess yesterday quite is today crisis for this central government in Mogadishu. If it is to my understanding there is two big D-block clan that are fighting over this region(sorry I know it feels impolite to mention clans, but we can't brush this clan element aside). Why can't they sit down and have some sort of regional administration that everyone is happy? I find this government intensely conflicted. They have been in authority for some time and they still can't address the ever emerging concerns from Kismayu?

  12. Carafat, Oba may deny me the citizenship of Mogadishu only (sad as it sounds) but you on the other hand all I have to do is send my application to Xaaji warabe and I have my Somaliland passport. And to make you mad I have 25 % Caag dheer blood...lol

In all seriousness there were people who died in this clan-war and it would have been decent to see the brothers act no less swiftly in their restrain from bragging about who have the biggest guns. The normal and moral thing would have been to think before posting any inflammatory websites links. However remote they are from corridors of firing squads, their inflamatory posts can ignite more hatred.

  13. Zack, Carafat is a confused secesionist. I doubt this has anything to do with Silanyo. Somaliland is a gone story and if anything this sort of mess in the South should encourage Somaliland to stay the way they are. Carafat is just hammering his big head into something that he has no influence over.He should have instead call for decency and respect among the regular contributors.

  14. Going by what the regulars posted this is a war between Gabaal's clan and Zack clan. They are brothers and I'm sure they will find a solution. You are just adding a fuel to the fire by sticking your windbag character in their business

Edit Zack I'll never go on all out bait on my brothers like what some contributers been saying since yesterday! A little class is required.just saying!

  15. I have tried to follow the arguments here since the killings of yesterday, but unfortunately they are all driven by Clan Xamaasaat..Y'all got a long way to go!

PS Carafat, thought you jumped the ship since your boy-the professor- lost the elections in the South..Stay out of this mess. This is clan-driven war

  16. I'm sure we all appreciate to see the president visit Somaliland, but that visit is a just dream right now.Should the president heed this dream then I'll be the first to send my congratulations. But we all know Unless we are smoking some heavy stuff no way in earth do we think the president has influence over Somaliland. The president is too smart to embarrassingly bumbled like the "advisors" on this boards. He knows Somaliland is an uphill task. The central Somali government is far from achieving a unified country. This will take time, for it is NOT a simple matter of landing in Hargeisa waving the blue flag.Current Somalia asks the president to make many decisions, and they are not easy! The president has long way to claim prowess on Somaliland issue.

PS There was a guy who used to write articles about the last nail in the Somaliland coffin..I think he still got some more coffins to work on before he can assure the president it is time to pay visit Hargeisa..

  17. Can't count how many times I tripped on those damn toys.I think Target baby depot got all my money! If it was upto me the little rascal will be without any of the fashionable fancy Fisher-price toys.Niggger be playing in the sand butt naked if it was upto me....

  18. Ngonge,

They will consciously lie to their teeth than admit the fancy footwork they do for their clan tune saxib. It makes obvious intuitive sense that Qabiil support overrides EVERYTHING Somali politics, but the chaps here you are trying to convince will NEVER admit to it.One only need to look at how hurriedly they all support the Somali government whenever one of their OWN is leading the government. This is a disease on both sides
