  1. It's a wrap..they definitely attending this meeting. This not only illustrate how the power of Britain has influence but also how ill informed this clueless foreign minister is..someone tell him people are not ******.History needs to document the death of Somalieland by our senile leader. The struggle to liberate Somaliland from Somalia politics has failed.Nothing can pursued me to believe from today that Somaliland is indepedant. This unilateral approach to the Somaliland foreign policy by silanyoo has fAiled it's people. It should be noted that the train is stoping next in Mogadishu. As far is known the train is not making anymore stops but going home.In short the foreign policy of Somaliland is one for the academic lecture halls dissection. Now let me hear the spinmasters tell us the weight of importance in attending a meeting chaired by Somali president....someone lend me a blue flag

  2. Che, I'm still one, but sometimes I got carried away by my rooting for Somaliland...I have Feisal on speed dial let me know if you wanna meet him for chai.Matter fact I seat acoss from him one time for a lunch and he schooled me on Somaliland issues..He is close extended family! haha

Odka, Indeed this will be a test and time will tell....

  3. Odweyene, I'm not familair with Britsh politics and foreign policy. One thing is for sure though the hope of uniting Somalia under one flag has the political/economical support of the rest of the involved superpowers. The ambition of Somaliland secesion is not one that should be subject to whims of this super powers that are leading the Somali politics.Today it seems Somaliland ambition depends on the presure to prevail over any kind of outside presure. And this is where the Conductor of this Somaliland train will be put to trial. Will he give in or will he bend to the presure?

The only thing Somaliland could do (and they have been doing for so long ) is to disengage from all Somali reconciliation confrences and make it plain simple what their aspirations are.You just can't attend a Somali meeting headed by Somali president and tomorrow come back to me and tell me "Wa muqadas" Somaliland. Somaliland long range goal should be beyond sitting in a confrences for photo-op. To my understanding there is no splintering of opinions by regular folks in the street of Hargeisa and other Somaliland cities, then why would their be one when it comes to presenting your case to the rest of the world? International aid has importance for sure, but the decisive factor should be what the common citizens in those cities I mentioned wants from their leaders. My Sijui blood wants to slap Silanyo if he attends that meeting....

  4. I think we are all just speculating and going by thirty seven seconds video, but we can all get where this is heading! No matter how thoughtful approach the British present this meeting will still be chaired by President Hassan. There is no escaping this reality! If anyhting if Somaliland attends this meeting it will shape the line of argument that Somaliland is indeed part of Somalia. Silanyo either needs to take pronounced stand and refuse to attend the meeting or he should just tell his citizens the truth about their "effort" in attaining secesion.

  5. Odweyne,

Ever heard of seen one superpower, seen em all..this reeks of ordering Somaliland to tow the line..We shall see, but this will be utter disapointment in Silanyo adminstration if they attend it.No matter what excuse they can come up with nothing will beat attending a confrence chaired by Somali president! So for Somalilanders get ready, there's a train a comin' You don't need no baggage, you just get on board .All you need is faith in Silanyo adminstration and you just thank the Lord.....haha

  6. This reeks of foreign imported daqaan and offensive language.By not denying the artistic and musical merit of hiphop I still believe the curse words and the way hip hop artistic carries themselves has a lot to desire for..I will give credit for the nice camera they used here and at least this shows some sort of normal life in Hargeisa...

  7. I doubt they losing the war to Mogadishu yet.Judging from the sweet words I heard churned out of Mogadishu residents by the Somali BBC reporter few days ago it seems the Mogadishu public are coming at peace with SL agenda so far...This new opinions marks the beginning of a new orderly thoughts in solving the elephant in the room, but should not make our brothers from the north elated yet.

  8. It's all about politics..the game has no credibility. He will be fine either way he goes heck you have that ssc guy in Hargeisa doing well for himself and still credible in Somaliland eyes.Never discount human spirit.I still believe his people can make Somaliland or break it.Either way he goes he will fit right in...

  9. Khatumo is within there right to respond, but the good professor is talking like a bitter person in reference to his imaginary monster called the I_ clan.. Waryaa Xaaji profesor wa Walaalkeen ehh silanyoo should win his heart...the good professor is in the parliament he should organize a motion of no confidence against the federal government

  10. NY...Yeah but it will only be a problem if they don't have parental supervision and guidance.Maybe the psychology or socialogiy students here can help us, but I believe it all depends on their upbringing. Some people strive to bringing up prodigies while others don't care parenting internet addicted priceless slackers lol

  11. NY..you are funny and honest. It is a problem of course if you cross the line between reality and fictional online character. It is all about confidence and self-esteem.You can fool people, but not reality. So yes it is a problem if you build a hype character and next thing this thing is creeping on your real life. I'll like to think majority of the people have self-control in mixing the two personality together. Majority of us may hold some unpopular views or opinions that we might not dare expose it in public, but somehow the internet give us this anonymity and we are brave enough to air it, but this only create false sense of security.

I will tell you what being raised as a muslim did warn me about death and what may come after we depart this life, but it took an internet Youtube clip by Professor Kagan of Yale to think death in a different way. So I think there is a great deal of knowledge we can get from this tool.

Jac..I'm hooked on people like Yaser Qadhi and many Somali sheikhs on youtube...

  12. ^Hehe sounds White-boy ha? lol..I think it is the rat race and the general distractions of too much time on distractions that makes one to stop and reflect on his life..I think I reached that point where I'm just seeing Life is Good (LG) but it can end anytime..I was one of the last person to think about death, but lately I have been thinking on making the most of my time by listening to many Islamic youtube videos...

  13. Aaah the internet the only place I can be an imposter and whole another me lol..I think it internet is just a tool and depends on how you use it..You can use it to expand your knowledge on topics that were exclusively for specialist on that field or You can also use for all kind of fusuuq and malice that will not garner you any dhawab from the creator.I have learned great deal of knowledge from the internet heck I even expand my Somali just loging to SOL...Lately I have been working on my spirituality and what better place can you get a guidance than from one click away! Its all how you want to use

  14. Not even intentioned blindness will prevent anyone from seeing that Somaliland and Somalia are moving apart far and wide..Unless Some magic happens don't expect any resolution any time soon. The president site mentioning of two African countries might be a blunder and if I was Hassan I'll have protested.I can see how this will be a fodder for our pedestrian-politicks seasoned marinated analyst..In all honesty everyone is a winner..No one lost anything today if anything Somaliland got magnanimous offering by still getting paid and staying on its course. If I was Somalia president I'd have said no way I'm sharing my handout with someone who is not toeing the line..But that will be impolite to our brothers from the north j/k
