Let us scrutinise the Oromos.

I think some of you are Habesha masquerading as Somalis here, with the level of racism, xenophobia and irrational hatred I've seen in some of the moronic commentary in this thread and others. It is neither Somali nor Muslim, and sounds more like the racial logic of Ethiopian conquest and domination.

Safferz are you oromo i have not seen you write in Somali?

No one hates oromo , i dont think Somalis dont hate any one for no reason , But Somalis want that oromos give back the stolen districts and stay in their land adama Nazareth shewa wellega or finfine. We don't care.

In this thread alone you've described them as weak, inferior, threatening to invade, our enemies, etc. What do you consider hatred, if not the vitriol and fanaticism you post here about the "Oromo threat"? You are an Ethiopian.

And no, I'm not Oromo.

Xabad,

LOOL Don't ask him that he thinks Kikuyus are better masters than Oromos.

Haatu: You speak from your back side ninyahoow. Adigoo, reer NFD ah dad ha uga sheekayn wax iska celin. surrendered yourself to Kikuyus and you worried about Oromos taking you over, what a misguided priorities!!

Surrendered? We tried armed resistance and it got us nowhere so we chose to accept the colonial borders for the time being and live in peace. That's called intelligence and thinking of the greater good, not surrendering. As a result, hundreds of lives have been saved and maanta soomaali oo dhan baa gobolkeena qaxooti ku ah.

What I don't get is what is wrong with the Oromo of that region. The Borana in NFD aren't doing this and they live side by side peacefully with the Somalis barring the occasional skirmish over wells.

if some one tries to invade my land than surely i will consider him an enemy , but if he wants peace and live side by side than he can be a good neighbor thats how i view it. Now i am an Ethiopian stop insulting me hada i am a noble Somali.

Haatu dont mind Bitter Puntlanders they dont know what they are talking about, the NFD people fought hard but right now to fight for independence is not the right timing but that reer NFD keep the north eastern province a Somali region makes every Somali proud in the Somali peninsula and the Somalis should develop their region there and take part of the Politics there as they are now doing. And when the time comes self determination even up to independence can be considered. The Borana oromos in Kenya are not even considered Kenyans they live there as Gypsies they are not even considered one of the Kenyan groups.

Expansionism. That's what's wrong with them. Other than that they're our brothers in faith (well not for you anyway).

Are you joking? Diri Dhabe not Diri Dawa as the Ethiopians call it, was the heartland of the Somali *** clan. It is named after that clan and has nothing to do with the Oromos. I too have a huge problem with the aggressive land grabbing policy of the Oromos, they should be confronted and dealt with but please let us not insult them after all they are our closest cousins.
