Maxkamada Hargeysa oo xukun ku riday mid ka mid Oday dhaqameedyadii...North Korea style

Recommended Posts

Maxkamada Hargeysa ayaa maanta ku riday xukun labo sano ah Boqor Raabi Yuusuf C/llaahi oo ka mid ah madax dhaqameedyada ka soo jeeda deegaanada Somaliland, kadib markii lagu eedeeyay inuu ka qeyb galay shirar lid ka ah Somaliland oo ka dhacay Muqdisho.

Boqor Raabi ayaa muddo 45-cisho ku xirnaa Xabsiga, kadib markii Ciidamada Booliska Somaliland ku qabteen gudaha Hargeysa, iyadoo markii maanta Maxkamada la horkeenay dib loogu celiyay Xabsiga.

Qareenka u doodaya Boqor Raabi oo lagu magacaabo Maxamed Axmed Abokor ayaa ku tilmaamay xukunka mid aan cadaalad laheyn xukunka, isagoo xusay inay aheyd in qof Muqdisho ku tago sharci laga saaro, balse aan aheyn xukun sharci ah, isla markaana ay ka qaadanayaan racfaan.

“Waxaan u aragnaa gardaro xukunkaas lagu riday odayga ee labada sano, waxaa uu Muqdisho u tagay howlo ganacsi, xukunkaas waxaa ka qaadaneynaa racfaan”ayuu yiri Qareenka u doodayay Boqorka.

Garsooraha Maxkamada Hargeysa ayaa sheegay inay u cuskadeen Boqorka qodobka 212 ee ciqaabta guud ee Somaliland, isagoo tilmaamay inay ku cadaatay inuu ka qeyb galay shir ka dhan ah madax banaanida Somaliland.

Sidoo kale waxaa lagu eedeeyay Boqorka inuu ka qeyb qaatay soo xulidii Xildhibaanada Baarlamaanka ee ka soo jeeda Somaliland.

Somaliland ayaa horay shuruuc adag uga soo saartay cid walba oo lagu helo in Somaliland uga qeyb gasho shir arrimaha Soomaaliya in aanay dib ugu soo laaban karin, hadii ay yimaadaana la xukumi doono.

Siilaanyo administration, to shore up support and show his separatist credentials, is blustering! This makes him irrational though ...

^^ Riyaale would have done it and Cigaal would have done it too. When it comes to those that run off to Somalia the policy has always been "go now, pay later". Nothing has changed. :D

^^ Eras change but Somalis don't. Siilaanyo understands the accepted bottom line in Somaliland. He dare not veer away from it for one second. He also knows that he extracted a good deal when he signed up for the talks with Somalia. Now, whatever happens or thrown his way, he'll just tell them to wait for the talks. Hassan Sheikh must be cursing Cabdulwali & Sheikh Sharif for agreeing to that one. ;)

^^The talks gave significant boost to Siilaanyo administration in both at home and abroad. It enabled him to kill one stone with multiple birds as it were. Locally , he was able to say we are sitting with our neighbors at the highest political representation (no Puntland , Galmudug etc). Internationally, he was able to 'appear' reasonable and well versed in the geopolitical realities that surround his little enclave. A brilliant political play from the old man on both accounts.

Where I think he missed the point (if indeed he thought he could continue hiding the truth from his people with respect to what these talks are all about) is misreading the resolve of the powers that be in their desire to settle this twenty year old tragedy called Somalia. As he found out in his trip to London, the IC meant what it said. It recognizes Somalia as broken state, but never questions its territorial integrity. It expects Siilaanyo and co to make the political sacrifices that is required to reach some type of confederacy or union with the South for the regions under Hargeysa's control. Apparently Siilaanyo expected another face saving formula to be devised in London (don't get me wrong it could still be) just like the case was in the last conference. But the odds against him, the momentum slipping away, new powers getting in the game , and the old ones conceding to the reality of Somalia's coming back to the world.

Siilaanyo (with demagogues at home, and international community waiting him to deliver) has his work cut out for him.

I have nothing but sympathy for the man

Xiin,

What you fail to factor in, as you prematurely count your ducks before the eggs are even hatched, is the composition of this 'international community' and whether they all have a unanimous agenda. Lift the veil of that blanket(IC blanket), and you will find warring interests at every corner!

Now the difference for the Somali actors is that SL alone can happily live in the status quo of the last 22 years while the other actors need the continuous 'nafaqo' of the so-called 'IC' to make it to the next month ;)

Note: Puntland is a special case that's able to stumble along with unpaid security services, a civil society decimated by 'anonymous killings', and solely held together by the constant fear of the neighbors down South....

Unfortunately for Puntland, the piracy pipeline has, effectively, been shut down. Check the latest stats on the revenue stream from that 'considerable' lifeline. The last year was a tough one ;)

It's back to the goats and the dhows to Yemen...

Going to xamar is not a crime the same way going to nairobi or addis is not a crime.

But it becomes a crime when u go there and tell the koonfurians u represent somaliland or a somaliland clan and thats what this guy did

So he goes to jail dont worry though he wont sit it out those two years. Ciidal fitriga bu madaxweynuhu samaxaya.
