Some people even suggest the man hade a taste for warming drinks
Remember the poem " Markaan wab ka siiyo aan duula";)

We deeply need historical revision, 21 years of of D-block rule sidelined some historical events that can not be denied. . But to do some justice his poems are sometimes inspring and deeply patriotic, nevertheless the man is deeply divisive. What he did to to the people of Bay-Bakool and should not be ignored. Zack, reer baraawe and ****banadiri haa u sheegin Ina maxamamed cabdille xassan.

Ch,

Somali history is important you should be concerned with the habit of your age , hiphop and memorizing few lines and moves, once you grow up out of these teenag ephases then come and play with big boys. I have nicknamed you Mr 2 lines. I have read few of your comments mostly they are 2 lines , and in these tow lines you try to denfed your clann , but tow lines cant stand up against an entire book that took 6 years of reserach,.

You have 2 choices either you refute the major points raised by the book or you take it as its , no amount of childish comments and scarasam will help the Mad Mullah, he was a coward , a libetrine and a man obsessed with the male manhood, if he happenes to be from your clan tough luck kid.

What ignorant to say? Find me a Somali born in Somalia that don't know Dhagaxtuur, Xaawo Taako, and Sheekh Hassan Barsane. Jamaac with vendetta set you up and fall for it.

lool@Big boys....So you admit you are boy Jamaac. Come back when you become man with some common sense and less anger.

The ustaad very controversial figure in Somali history some see him as a hero Mujahid some see him as a camel thief some see him as a holy man some consider him the first Somali warlord. We should read all literature Guri-Barwaqo Book the Books of Aw Jamac Cumar ciise the books written Swayne Cawar and many more.

Exactly Sayid Mohamed is very controversial. I always said if you want to know someone's tribe politely (d-block or I-block) talk about Ustaadka and you will find easily. Now we have this thread which brings some SOL-er in to light. Like Che,and Jaamac

^Easy nigga.....Don't justify Jamaac's cantarabaqash. The man's problem is not with history but with individuals including. people who he claim molested children.

Somali history is skewed and I favors particular tribe! That said, we need real researchers and not 'grand father told me folks'.

controversial!!!! no he is not , we have enough material written that support the fact that he was a theif, a looter and a libterine. Also we have what they argue is his poems which mostly an orgy of boast , blood and looting , we know of his relgious views and he stated in his letters to sheekh Cabdulaahi Al-Qudbi that the blood of muslim is permesiable and the looting of their porperty and the looting of their womenfolk, all in written .

So whats so controversial about such a person!! simplty because few D clannist believe otherwise doesn`t make history conterversial.

Let the D-block boys and their daddies worship the fat coward that run all the way to imiey and died in a foxhole. The important thing is that the people of Somaliland realized what this charachter in actuality was, Guri-Barwaaqo isn`t trying to convince the D- clan of anything new these people will worship him regardless to them its all about tribal loyalty. So the book of Guri-Barwaaqo isn`t for that particular clan , the book is for all non-D somalis who were been fed crap by the old regim.

This book will be taught in Somaliland schools , kids in somaliland will compare the old `facts`taught in old Somali republic and the new book and argument of Guri-Barwaqo. What the author collected and analysed are the Mullah`s vulgar poems and how the D-clan during their rule of Somali republic `sexied-up`the Mullah`s career of murder and and looting .

Maadeeys,

Ironically where as the so called `Sayid`of yours son was pro-Ethopian and sided with ethopia during the struggle for great somalia
, the grand son of Sheekh Awees Al-Barawaani namely Abdulqadir Saqawdiin Shaikh Aweys one among the founders and the first president of the SYL. In my opinion the father of southern Somalia should have been that grandson of Awees , who died in 1947, not the fat gluttonous libertine.

The man who liberated you and you should celebrate is Sheekh Awees al-Barawaani and his decendant , not the camel theifs known as the Maxamed Cabdulle Xasan. But then what a branwashed little kids know.

During the struggle against the Italian colonialists.
