Tallaabo Posted July 5, 2012 I think Islam encourages the preservation of archaeological sites as tools for education since the Quran has verses in which God Almighty tells us to look at the remains of those who were destroyed through out history. The Islamic scholars should deploy more analytical thinking about religious matters incorporating our knowledge of today's world as the time of our prophet (pbuh) in the seventh century was very different to the 21st century we live in.
