VOA - Lawless Puntland allows Criminal Piracy to Flourish

Piracy is a criminal act. And criminality is a virus that spreads itself and doesn't tolerate justice nor good governance. If people think you can condone criminality and at the same time have a goverment, laws and justice then your misleading yourself. There a numerous example's of goverments who condoned criminality and this lead to more istability, war and chaos. Colombia, Liberia of Charles Taylor, Congo of Kabila, Afghanistand and its opium production, Transinistrie became a criminal nest for weapons and human traficking.

Some might think that underdevelopment is the cause and once funds are generated, situation might restore. But criminality hs no boundries and no amount will ever be sufficient. I think we reached a stage where even Puntland authorities, if they wanted it, can't stop piracy alone. Only with a common approach Somali's can together end it. If Some think it doesn't concern Somaliland or Muqdisho, then you are wrong. Sea transportation increased and therefor food prices in the region. So it even affects all the people on the ground
