^They are couching it as an across the board decision with support from all the parties. Regardless of the outcome - how can the current admin be solely held to account if the opposition was in full agreement?

Xiin's caravan has come in thru a British door? :D

^ I see a lot of "But" and "If" in the above comments. Lol

Like Fanaanada Qaranka Somaliyeed Saado Ali said, "Sanduulle baad ku soo noqon". It behooves the Landheere to keep the identity of the State together and tame the Langaab (somalidiidka Waqooyi Galbeed) .

Majority's Rule, Minority's Rights.

^Understood but if opposing the attendance to this conference was a popular political move then wouldn't the opposition have run with that? You would assume they would hew to what gives them a political advantage. Unless either the populace is apathetic or actually supportive of attending.

^ Oodweyne, you remind me of Abu Talib, the Prophet's Uncle, who, when he was laying on his death bed, the Prophet was telling him to say the Shahada and turn back to Allah. However, Abu Talib, fully aware of Islam being the truth and Prophet Muhammad being a Messenger of God, rejected to say the Shahada and turn to Allah, because his brother Abu Lahab and other Chief Meccans were standing besides his bed, so with arrogance and fear of being looked down upon by his fellow Pagan-worshippers.

You see the truth in front of you. You know that Somalia's unity is not only Muqadas, but it's the right thing. United Somalia is stronger than Ethiopia and Kenya combined. However, with your kinsmen around you, you don't want to be looked down upon and be "disgraced" in the eyes of your fellow kinsmen so you stay on your path of secessionism, which you know is wrong.

Norf has totally stayed away from the discussions around the conference. A big supporter Kulimey that he is, It'll be interesting to read about his input. This conference can potentially put a dent to Siilanyo legacy.
