My petty Somalis - Demography is Destiny - hadaad dalshishaeeye joogtaan, damiir la'aan

Recommended Posts

The 'state of emergency' still stands till this day, after decades, in the NFD province.

The purpetrators are still walking around freely in Kenya today, in 2012. They are not prosecuted or held accountable. The Kenyan government has never admitted responsibility.

Somalis mistrust each other which made them live like this its hard to win that trust back neighboring countries take advantage of that.

We have to do something about that. We have to do something about the situation. If we don't then who will ? As disagreeable as our people are, theya re still our people and the entire world knows us as Somali. We need to bring our people together, for divided we fall and united we stand - a tall order I know, but we have to be the change that we want to see in the world. We qurbojoog supposedly are the elite of the Somali people, the most affluent, most educated, most travelled - all of this reflects on us.

You, I and every person on this board could be making a difference... heck we should be making a difference. But in order to help others, in order to rid our people of their demons, we have to cure ourselves of our own [personal] demons, as Allah (swt) is our witness, we have to have pure, noble and good intentions. We have to try to be a contribution to the solution, not the problem. We need to see the bigger picture, the long term consequences, the untold truths and implications.
