Amazing how every group who took part in the civil war had religous leaders , who gave them fatwas for their actions and this is still the case.

With little bit of wisdom and common sense,somalia would not be what it is today and thousands or perhaps a million lives could have been saved.Instead of making it a true revolution against a military dictatorship,leaders like General caydid and others turned this into a clan vs clan,a sub-clan vs sub-clan.Indeed what a missed opportunity.They went into killing spree,destroying government institutions, wrongly believing it belonged to a certain clan.Today somalia is a broken country where nothing seem to function and 1000s still dying.
