Oda_Nobunaga Posted October 26, 2004 It is southerners and and especially people from the non dominant clan in Somaliland that are living in a fantasyland. They do not realise that the international community will ignore there wishes and rights and sell them out to Somaliland, as quickly and easily as they would sell out Somaliland if it was in their interests. Somaliland exists on the ground and it has some legitimacy in the eyes of the world. As long as we percevire we will be recognized, in the mean time we welcome any challenges that you may present. Jumatatu Posted October 26, 2004 Damn Smith sxb...! dont you you think longevity will affect us worse...after all we are living on a borrowed liver..... .
General Duke Posted October 26, 2004 Juma, LOL. The borrowed liver belongs to one man, the Somali state is healthy and will never allow this minority group to break the unity of Somalia. As for longevity, its been 14 years and so called Somaliland is in a worse situation than it ever was. SOOL, SANAG & CAYN are gone. Djabouti & Ethiopia have shown their support for the federal republic. 40 MP's of the national federal parliment are from Somaliland. The international community including good ol Britian is rushing to recognise President Yusuf's new government. Its only the start and our boys from the North west are panicking. N.O.R.F Posted October 27, 2004 its been 14 years and so called Somaliland is in a worse situation than it ever was. We can two and through silly little comments all day, but the fact of the matter is, somalia is far more of a bad state than Somaliland. This will take at 'least' 5 years to stabalise, and thats being very optomistic. The international community including good ol Britian is rushing to recognise President Yusuf's new government. A government that needs a location to start doing what its supposed to. So who is in the Somali government apart from C Yusuf?
General Duke Posted October 27, 2004 Northerner, thats it bro keep up the spirit. How do you go of in comparing Somaliland [North west province] to Somalia? What is Somaliland outside Hargaysa? Nothing, imagine the Somali shilling is the main currency of Burco, the second town of the Burco-Hargays-Berbera traingle. The Somali government so far has the total support of HIIRAAN PUNTLAND, Central regions Middle Shabele-Jowhar GEDO JUBA X 2 BAY & BAKOOL.... It has been welcomed by the people of Mogadishu. Brother stop beliveing in your own myth, Clan X wont fight clan Y or that Mogadishu is offlimits to clan Z. All that is wishful thinking, the average Somali wants a normal life. General Duke Posted October 27, 2004 Somaliland 101.... Somaliland is a myth, its run by the weakest element of the former regime. Riyaale, Cawil, Warrabe, Qaybe etc. It controls only half of what it claims. Forget, SOOL, SANAG & CAYN... It is recognised only by the clan that inhabits Hargaysa-Berbera-Burco traingle. The people of SOOL dont even recognise it let alone the international community. It [the adminstration] talks a good deal up in Hargaysa, they are still invading LAS ANO. It has a shaby economy, due to the high tax of Berbera port.. So much for peace it had one of the most devestating clan wars in Somalia, between the late EGAL & TUUR factions. In which a whole clan had to evacuite Burco. They held a fake election in which Riyaale won by 80 votes after spending fast ammounts of money. Members of its legendery SNM are in the Federal Parliment while those who worked for the last regime rule Hargaysa. Confusing  Its Police force CID, are so ****** , they arrested, tortured and raped a 16 year old Somali girl for allegedly being a spy mastermind trying to assisinate their Vice President
Oda_Nobunaga Posted October 27, 2004 If Sool and Sanaag were 100% inhabited by clans that are hostile to Somaliland, we would be in a lot of $%^#. But this isnt so, only the sparsley populated Eastern Sanaag and Eastern Sool whick includes the large city of Las canood are reluctant to be Somalilanders. The rest is not yours at all. and since when did Cayn come into this equation. Buhoodle is an island in the Sea of Somaliland supporters thats all. Las canood will be liberated soon, and Eastern Sanaag will be left the way it is.
