What is Somaliweyn-2.0?

I have heard this couple of times now from diffrent sources. I hope President Siilaanyo knows what he is getting in to.

 

A couple years back the same 'Somaliweyn' politicians contacted President Riyaale about this same strategy. But Riyaale said the South has to be pacified and there needs to be goverment with a mandate on the ground before any negotiation can take place and he didnt want to get his administration involved in the political minefield on the South.

 

By the way, back then Kulmiye politicians accused President Riyaale of secretely negotiating with South-Somalia.

I hope its nonsense but proof suggests otherwise. President Siilaanyo has been in office for only 4 months and within this short period,

 

-Somaliweyn politicians visited him in Hargeysa(Kaluun, etc);

 

-Arrested members of the TFG Parliament in Borama were released without being asking to distance themselves from the TFG;

 

-Or are planning to visit(Buuba, Jama Yare,etc);

 

-the Presidents of Galmudug and Xiin iyo Xeeb were invited in Somaliland;

 

-the foreign and interiour minister anounced they want to cooperate with Puntland;

 

-the oil, minerals and water minister has even met Puntland politicians while abroad;

 

-the administration made it clear that their foreign policy objective is not seeking political recongnition but economic, development and trade relations;

 

So, there is just too much to just ignore.

And knowing Siilaanyo's history of seeking 'Somaliweyn', I would suggest not to ignore these issue's.

There is just a foreing policy somaliland has now at the moment to secure our long term goals and short term goals you just stay tuned. These Nobodies such as kaluun people make them bigger then they are and he is there for family related issues.
