Egypt one again rejects President Yusuf...!

Why I wonder Egypt is giving the cold shoulder to Presisdent Yusuf? Could it be his close romance with Zenawi or are there other reasons that strech back to old days. One thing that is clear though is that Egypt is an important ally and Yeey needs them more than they him. Or could they, the Egyptian, possibly disregarding the process of Somali nation building in Nairobi as a whole farce. Very dangerous view, cause if that is the case I dont think this Igad governments orchestrated by Ethiopia can go against an opposition view held by Egypt.

But then again Yeey does not give any significance to this demanour cause his interest lies with Zenawi who will supply him with the financial and firepower to restore or should I say capture the rest of Somalia that is not under his thumb.Whatever the case it shows clearly the furure of Somalia is been shaped by Zenawi and Co. with the delight of Yeey, now whether that will prevail or even come to existance needs to be seen, the odds so far is that it is a very remote chance.

Warar aanu ka helnay ilo ka duwan ayaa tibaaxaya in wasaarada arrimaha dibedda dowladda Masar ay diiday socdaal la sheegay in uu dalka Masar ku tegi lahaa madaxweynaha dowladda FKMG ah ee Soomaaliya C/llaahi Yuusuf Axmed oo soo dhameystay kulan goob joog ahaan uu uga qeybgalay oo ay magaalada Khartoum ku yeesheen isbaheysiga Sanca ee dalalka Yeman, Suudaan & Itoobiya.

Warka la sheegay in uu ka soo baxay wasaarada arrimaha dibedda Masar ayaa lagu sheegay in dowladda Masar aaney dooneyn in arrimaha Soomaaliya ay kala xaajaato wax ay ku tilmaantay madaxweyne keligii iska socda, balse ay daneyneyso in marka xukuumadda la dhiso, lana soo dhameystiro haykalka dowladeed in ay markaa diyaarineyso qorshaheeda ku wajahan arrimaha Soomaaliya.

Madaxweynaha Soomaaliya C/llaahi Yuusuf oo horay dalka Masar uga qeybgalay aaska hogaamiyihii Falastiin Marxuum Yaasir Carafaat ayaanan wax kulama ah la yeelan mas’uuliyiinta dowladda Masar, iyadoo garoonka Qaahirana uu ku soo dhoweeyey safiirka Soomaaliya u jooga Masar.

Dowladda Qaahira ayaa biyo didsan tahay kulanka Khartoum, waxeyna wararku sheegayaan in isbaheysiga dalalka Yeman, Itoobiya & Suudaan in uu yahay mid ka dhan dowladda Masar.

LOL...Dayniile.com at it again. Qaynyare gets the cold shoulder so they make up some story. :D

Anyhow this story makes no sense when Camir Musa former foreign minister of Egypt and now head of the Arab league held talks with the Presdient in Khartoum.

Makes no sense when Sudan, Yemen, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and various other Arab states have all recognised and stressed their support for President Yusuf and Somalia. :D

I will hold u against dayiinile.com sxb.....you quote it when u want Mr.Smith and smirk at it when others quote it on news that probably doen pleasure u.

On a serious note this problem exist Smith approach it and discuss it in its manner ok sxb...

And the recognition do not over exagerate Smith...the ballon has bursted and now International countries are looking for practical implementation in the ground...not a government that has yet to leave the lobbies of Hotels in Nairobi.

Juma, what bubble are we talking about bro :D

My view has always been there is no need to rush to Somalia with out taking the necessery steps.

The government thanks to Geedi has been toppled, its hoped he will get it right the second time round.

On the ground things are changing, Puntland is getting stronger in SOOL, SANAG & CAYN with election due end of next month.

Somaliland is still where it was, no major changes in Hargaysa and the traingle. Its still waiting for recognition from some one.

In Alta Juba things are the same the government has massive support in parts of Gedo. In Afmadow local millitias are being rounded up to support any future government initiatives.

In the rest of the country there is no spike in violence since the government was formed. The only tragedy that has occured has been natural in the form of the Tsunami's that have devestated our coast.

Because you dont like the President for clan reasons dont blind your self on the realities in the ground.

^^Egypt is the most important Arab country. He needs their support more than any other country. He may not get money from them cause Egypt isn't a rich country, but their support will be crucial to gain the support of other rich Arabs, especially Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. However, he should get rid of Ethiopian first; he can't be with an Arab enemy and get Arabs money and support at the same time.

I believe he doesn't have good advisors that Adeero Yusuf.

He is making same mistake SomaliLand regime doing!!..Kissing Ethiopian dust behind wont get him any where.

Salam

Rudy, you still around old boy :D

As for Egypt it will do what ever the west and the US wants no matter how important it is in local Arab arena it will jump when Bush winks.

For many reasons the Somali government needs to be on good terms with Ethiopia which is the US's main ally in the Horn. ;) We took notes of how much Egyptian support and recognition gets you from Abdiqasin's Presidency.. :D

So far the UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia much richer and more pro US than Egypt have supported the new government.

Oh the Somali government joined the Sanca group which is made up of Sudan, Ethiopia and Yemen.

smithy, you sound like a politics novice! may be the arab kingdoms gave c/y lip service! but remember, nothing moves in the arab world w/o egypt's concent!!

2ndly, if come out straight and say c/y is blood and homie, then you wont have to jump through all hoops and loops trying to makes believers of c/y!!

wonderful policies of sleeping with ENEMY!!

i do believe c/y nailed his coffin, the day he signed the deal with the devil (ethiopia).

ethiopia is dwelling on empire mentality again, however, the Ertrieans have put a check on them.

finally, sometime later this year, somaliland is gonna move to Ertirea's side and puntland to ethiopia's corner! and c/y will be sun-tanning in Nairobi!!

Ethiopia support for the Somalia’s embryonic peace process is indispensable. It was Ethiopia’s long arm that reached out to tab Musse Yalaxow, Hassan Qalaad (Allah yarxama), and Mohammed Dheere and managed to challenge TNG I of Arta in Mogadishu...imagine that in Mogadishu! These obscure personalities, with Ethiopia support, have become a force to reckon with. Ethiopia support helped Abdullahi Yussuf regain control in Puntland. Ethiopia gave RRA the upper hand in the Bay area conflict. The political grouping of SRRC was created by Ethiopia’s friends. Ethiopia gave them an effective regional representation and provided them all the logistics of military hardware to make their militia competitive in their respective area of influence. Why? That’s something to ponder with...remember SNM, USC, and SSDF would not have done well without the Ethiopian base to wage war and without Ethiopian and Libyan military support.

On the other hand, Egypt shored up support (from its Arab brotherhood) for one side of the Somali conflict. Egypt symbolized the uneven handedness of all foreign involvement. All the Arab support went to Ali Mahdi in the heyday of the civil war and latter to Abdiqasim. In the Cairo conference, Egypt was so biased she suggested a power-sharing formula that divides the power between Ali Mahdi and Aideed camps. Egypt literally chased one side of the Somali conflict into the Ethiopia’s lap. No one would welcome unilateral disarmament! In the end, Abdullahi Yusuf won without Egypt’s support, a testament of Ethiopia’s influence in the region.

Now, if Egypt has Somalia’s interest at heart, it should voice unequivocal support for the TNG II as it had done in the Arta’s outcome. After all, all its friends have pledged support to this government. This is not about a contest between Egypt and Ethiopia (the Nile conflict). It is about peace for Somalia. The contest between Ethiopia and Egypt gave warlords incentives to refuse working together for the losing warlord has somewhere to go to get money, logistics, and political representation (at the regional level). The two principal countries they count on for warm reception are Ethiopia, Egypt (and their allies in the region). That’s (in part) why the civil war lasted this long. Every time they run out of breath, they got new dose of injection from these countries.

Egypt or Ethiopia? We are better of without them if they can leave us alone! Will they? No...so we have to live with it. Let's not cheer for Egypt because it is the lesser evil. It would have been great if we could stand on our own legs and play them against each other by exploiting the Nile conflict. One of these days...
